Have enjoyed Thanksgiving Dinner at Sbicca the last several years. food is always delicious!
enjoy dinner at Sbicca on many other occasions as well, such as birthdays and anniversaries! food is always delicious, except missing their trout dinner they used to offer!
Thanksgiving
We were located in lovely mid-level dining room with a fire place. The service was excellent and the
waiters had perfect understanding of the menu. We took all the time we wanted for the dinner and dessert and corkage for our wine was very reasonable.
Excellently
Anniversary
Nice place, very good food, excellent server. A little expensive (drinks especially). Unfortunately there was a table of six women who were so loud, obnoxious and completely clueless that they made the dining experience of eight or so tables almost unbearable. They were finished eating and stayed for an hour and a half disrupting the nearby tables. I know it’s a tough situation for management but they should have moved them into the bar. Disappointing when you drop $250 and can’t even have a conversation because of screaming women and their mindless banter.
Nice casual place but with great service and excellent food. Service was attentive but not too much. Fish was well done - pesto potatoes were great.
we like Sbicca for lunch but suggest the lettuce salad side and not the fries, which were really bad as in boring and lifeless that day. Worth the dough- go! and early if you like to sit outside on the patio (recommended)
We enjoyed the food and the service, both excellent ! Moms weekend away for Uncorked festival, went here for dinner and had a great experience. Can't wait to go back, plus love Del mar!
Best food in town and great open outdoor vibe! Try the meatballs and ahi tuna!
We had a great time. Corey was very helpful, and the host made us feel special upon arrival.
This place was recommended by someone who loves it for its sunset views. While we only ate lunch, we still enjoyed the casual atmosphere and wonderful service. I especially enjoyed my eggs Benedict and pineapple mimosa! We had a really nice & wonderfully attentive waiter.
Food was good even if it was not very hot, and the service was pretty slow.
Love no corkage Sunday’s!
Great food and friendly staff. The front patio where our table was located turned out to be a little cramped and next to the entrance so I might pick a different table next time, but it wasn't a big deal.
We ate on the front patio and Amanda graciously honored our request and had our table set for the six of us when we got there.
Great little spot. Well done!
First time. From La Quinta. Dining with family. We grazed a lot with appetizers. Nice selection and delicious. Our waiter, Grady O’Brien, was very pleasant and caring. Humberto, our host, most accommodating.
Nice place- will return.
Delicious meal. Beautiful food presentation. Good service.
I reserved a table for 1 while on business travel and was greeted quickly and seated early at my choice of a few small tables. The guests were friendly and chatty, service was consistent and professional and I never felt rushed. The manager and wait staff as well as the water refiller were on top of it! The avocado burrata toast was amazing. Ahi tuna rolls were perfect and light. The chocolate chip bread pudding was not too sweet, and was a great recommendation from the waiter. The wine choices were plentiful and I thoroughly enjoyed my evening alone. If I could have sat on the patio to people watch, it would have been perfect! Highly recommend this spot.
The best in Del Mar
It was an afternoon date and the service was good, but it was very expensive, I won’t be going back
As always, the service and the quality of the food is above and beyond. There was a variety from wedge salads, pasta bolognese, pork chop, buttermilk fried chicken to espresso tiramisu. Great place and would recommend you make a reservation.
Thank you for supporting Del Mar Hills Academy! We won a gift certificate during last year’s HillsFest fundraiser and enjoyed it as part of our tenth anniversary celebration. Grady took very good care of us and we had a lovely evening and delicious meal.
Excellent food and service. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for an enjoyable night
lwats good and perfect seeing for sunset views, request roof top.
Always amazing!
Bacon wrapped shrimp were amazing! Had a double order....
Everything was fantastic. The bar and dining room were both lively. Patio view was great. Service was outstanding and food was creative & delicious.
Service was very slow and food was mediocre.
Filet Mignon was properly cooked to medium rare . It was however very dry.
Excellent brunch included huevos rancheros and $5 grapefruit mimosa. Decent view of ocean from upper deck.
A last minute reservation Labor Day evening. Food and service were wonderful. Will definitely go back when I next visit Del Mar
Wonderful lunch my wife and I had here with our two daughters. The food, service and drinks were on point.
Service was poor. Had to request items several times. We saw our server when the order was taken and he returned to present the bill. Never stopped to check on us and we had to ask to have our water glasses filled. Noise level was so loud you could not carry on a normal conversation. Food was good (not great). Will never eat there again.
Very pricey for the amount and quality of the food... we were kinda disappointed, but the service and ambiance were great.
This restaurant never disappoints. Requested and got a table on the rooftop which allowed us to enjoy the sunset and talk without shouting. Enjoyed everything about our meal and highly recommend it.
My husband enjoyed rib meat entree. I was disappointed that our server stated the poke dish was not very spicy. I ? The incredients of the poke,
Cauliflower prior to ordering. Korian lettuce wraps also spicy but tolerable.
My husband tasted all 3 he commented on spicy side.
Cauliflower was overpowered by the vinegar and spice. Aleppo pepper flakes are spicy!
Our beers were fine.
In future I will stick to entree dish.
Great restaurant with a lovely sunset view. Service and food was great. Ambience was relaxed friendly
Nice small restaurant about a block from the beach. Roof deck has tiny beach view for some tables.
Food focuses on fish. Swordfish dish I had was tasty and priced similar to other area restaurants.
Service was good, as were the specialty drinks.
