SBG Casa de Campo
Definitely worth the money!
The only way to enter the resort community of Casa de Campo in which this restaurant is located is to email the restaurant copies of the pasaports for every person dining. In addition they will require the license plate of the vehicle you will be arriving in. If you are into sending perfect strangers copies of your passport via email or are clairvoyant and can predict what taxi will take you to the restaurant, by all means go. If not, pass on this one and any other restaurant in this resort community. It just isn’t worth the hassle. It’s a shame because the food and service were pretty good.
Great food and wonderful location. Service was fast and efficient.
Full recomendado
Excellent food in a beautiful setting
They do not respect the reservation time, they gave us the table an hour and a half later.
Great Restaurant, service was wonderful and the views were beautiful.
Top notch! Excellent service and even better food. Make sure you make proper reservation and submit ID number you will be carrying prior to arrival. This will expedite your arrival to the gated community when clearing security. Once there you will be impressed.
The dinner and ambiance at SBG was absolutely amazing! We got the tuna crispy rice and lobster Mac and cheese and also had the pulpo chicharrones which was amazing and unforgettable. The pool in the restaurant and DJ booth adds to the fun and high end ambiance. Additionally, the staff were so amazing throughout the entire experience and really anticipated our every need.
Service was really slow, and the food was just mediocre. Nice ambiance for a cocktail.
Great restaurant, food is amazing, service better than expected
Wonderful environment and the meal was superior. Highly recommend this to anyone staying at Casa de Campo
This was our favorite Casa de Campo restaurant. Delicious food. Nice atmosphere. Outstanding location w water and marina views. Very good service.
Excelente buen ambiente, buena comida y cócteles deliciosos
Hostess poco entrenada.
Great dining experience combined with excellent service and a breathtaking view. The pricey menu is well worth it considering that it is located in the prestigious marina of CASA DE CAMPO resort and boasts an impressive wine list. Overall excellent restaurant probably due to the owners constant presence and a competent maitre'd.
Very good restaurant whith a great view
Good service, good food, great value for money
We had dinner for 4 people (2 adults and 2 kids) for 150 dollars in lncludes wine, appetizers, main course.
Exelent , good dinning , great people , Luxury . It is a great pelase to have a nice dinner
Wonderful!!! Our favorite restaurant in Casa de Campo. Highly recommend you make a reservation, seems to be everybody’s favorite place to dine.
This is a beautiful space, absolutely ruined by the food and service.
I had the “ribeye,” and I use the quotation marks for a reason. It was a tasteless, dry hunk of mystery meat. My side was “truffled corn,” which consisted of an ear of corn, cut in four pieces, and burned on a grill. There is, at least in my experience, not much finesse in the kitchen. Maybe the sailors have lower expectations....
Worse was the dreadful service; in a restaurant that was at best 1/3 full. This is the type of place where the staff, bizarrely, has attitude. Let’s face it, this is not the hottest restaurant in New York – – it’s a bistro. In a marina. In a tucked-away corner of the Dominican Republic. The hostess was apparently annoyed by our check-in, with a reservation no less. Without so much as a smile, I was pointed to a sofa and told “you wait here.” You get the drift. After waiting – 15 minutes – for either a menu or some sort of acknowledgment from a server, I inquired about getting a menu or maybe a drink. I was told to “relax.“
I am, by nature and habit, not the type to complain. However, this place truly got under my skin. After a week in the Dominican Republic , I can say without hesitation that this was the very worst restaurant experience I had.
Apparently, this is an outpost from a chain based in the less-than-cosmopolitan City of Santo Domingo. It shows. Casa de Campo would be well-served to look elsewhere for the management of a this admittedly pretty marina property.
Excellent food and service, beautiful view
The dessert was excellent, the rest of the food was average. The service was not up to the reviews we have seen. Hopefully a bad night. On the other hand, the setting and ambiance is spectacular.
Love SBG! This is my third time dining here, and it has been great every time. Whether it is girls weekend or a family vacation at Casa de Campo, SBG does not disappoint. By far the best restaurant at the marina!
SBG was fabulous! The setting is incredible - it is right on the water. Ask to sit outside to enjoy the views! Service and food were both top-notch. It was a memorable meal.
Cheese wheel pasta-trust me!
Amazing foodddd!! Amazing view and amazing service
By far the best ambiance in Casa de Campo.
Excellent restaurant in La Marina. Great ambiance, specially if dining outside.
Don't even waste your time or money ordering the "Dry-Aged" Steak...quite honestly, it was barely eatable. On the other hand, my wife's Sea Bass was very well prepared. The steak was so bad that when averaging it with my wife's meal for rating purposes, both meals combined only averaged a "Fair" rating!
Beautiful setting. Everything was good.
Amazing ambiance! Most. Incredible. Views. Ever.
Go here as the sun sets and bring a bathing suit to have your aperitif in the pool outside. Oh, and the food isn’t bad, either.
This truly is one of the most special places to dine.
Execellent place to eat at La Marina in Casa de Campo.
