As a restaurant our desire is to offer you a real experience, something to remember. We believe in using great local ingredients, treating them with respect and a lightness of touch so that they shine through. The aim is not to indulge the chef’s whims or show off but to treat the diner; your enjoyment is what make us tick. Our Cornish location overlooking Bude harbour and the Atlantic is dear to the heart of head chef Kyan; a proud local. With fishing a family tradition he is passionate about using local sustainable seafood and showing just how delicious it can be. Restaurants far and wide proclaim their use of Cornish fish, it is Kyan’s desire and duty to showcase what is on our doorstep. The dinner menu changes every month and always reflects the seasons, the main ingredients are as local as chef can make them, Cornish preferably. Sea food is always strongly represented but the local meat and vegetarian / vegan dishes are not to be missed.

Wow! What a fab meal on Saturday night. We live in Stratford upon Avon and I wish we had a restaurant offering food of this originality and quality. Stunning cocktails too and the attentive service was top notch. Thank you for a great evening.

Faultless basically describes it! Beautiful food, wonderfully presented, from an amazingly good value set menu with plenty of choices. Wines not exorbitant and some tasty pudding wines by the glass. Just the best meal I have had in a UK restaurant for simply ages. Great efficient service too, lovely waitress. Best place in Bude, that’s for sure!

Restaurant was poorly lit, in my opinion, and as there were one other table of diners it did Lack in atmosphere. Service was good and the food was well presented and tasty, I had The venison which was enjoyable. My wife had the beef but the rump portions were chewy and had gristle running through it so not so good. The pud was good, crumble, but the portions were tiny in little stoneware pots and I didn't consider this value for money. What did irritate was being charged extra for new potatoes to accompany the venison, perhaps I misunderstood the dish and it didn't need pots ! Not a great experience, sadly, as the write ups on trip advisor we're very good but it just didn't do it for us.

We went here for our anniversary dinner and the experience was wonderful. I am dairy intolerant and the staff were very accommodating and helpful in providing alternatives where appropriate. Food was amazing! It was very quiet being a Tuesday night at the end of October, but I would imagine that even if it were busier, the service and atmosphere would be great.

Delicious food and good sized portions. The Sazerac was undergoing some reconstruction but this didn’t impact the quality of the food. We had a lovely time.

Good selection of drinks and good varied menu with a set menu available. A bit expensive but very good food extremely well presented and a bit special. Staff very attentive but not intrusive. The only criticism I could make would be that there is not much atmosphere but we did dine early and people were just coming in as we were leaving. Would definitely recommend this place and will definitely be returning. A little gem.
