Great menu, service was outstanding and has a wonderful energy to the space too!

Room was very cold and the space heaters were a good idea, but there were none by my table. My friend was dairy free and ordered a burger. The bun had dairy so the burger arrived with out any bread and we then had to wait for that situation to be corrected.

Other than that the food was good and all the brunch cocktails were delicious.

Nice neighborhood place but a bit overpriced and they had already run out of the starter we wanted with an 8:30 reservation.

S&P has a really lively vibe which is fun. The hosts could not have been nicer - high, high marks for them - they were incredibly accommodating. Food was really solid - highly recommend the Impossible burger, octopus and lamb.

Service was quite slow and impersonal which let it down but everything else was good enough I would give it another chance.

They took forever to seat us, took forever to bring the main courses, then forgot one of our party's dishes which took 15 minutes to bring. They took our dessert order (3 espressos, 1 dessert) and returned 10 min later to tell us the espresso machine was broken, and then when we finally were ready to leave, took 10 min to bring our checked coats. But the food was good. Just didn't need to be a 3 hour meal.

What a gorgeous evening at a beautiful neighborhood restaurant. The service was gracious and lovely (which I find rare), the dining room elegant, energetic and so pretty, and the food outstanding. Somehow at our table of 4, not 1 of us ordered meat at this carnivorous outpost, but my friends loved their fish dishes, and my roasted tomato soup was divinely creamy and my carrot bolognese not to be missed. For dessert we had smores, a cheesecake sundae, and the divine house-made sorbets, and no one could stop moaning. Worth a visit even if you don't live nearby.

Impossible burger was amazing.

I had the impossible burger. Confirmed it is mankind’s greatest discovery since our Neanderthal friends discovered fire.

They were short staffed and overbooked but everything was good. We were given free rose champagne at the end.
The prices for oysters are absurd though - range from $4-5.75 a piece and there is no option to add a 4th oyster to an app that comes with 3. Kind of ridiculous - restaurants should accommodate that if patron pays extra? Why should food be so strict? It’s a meal that should be enjoyable and flexibility makes things easier!

Tables are very close together but food was great and drinks were good.

Very bad bar service - it gets an F minus. The food, however, was an A+.

Bartender didn’t seem to care that people waited EXORBITANT amounts of time for a drink. Other staff seeming capable of making simple drinks too stood around and Socialized mostly - every now and then pitched in to make a cocktail

Got to Saxon and parole at 1:40 and was asked to wait at the bar as I was first to arrive

Didn’t get to even order my drink until 1:50 (a Bellini)

Watched bartender continue to make dozens of other drinks until 1:58 when he made my Bellini, a combination of literally 2 ingredients (did this slowly while socializing with other staff). Bellini was put in front of me at 2 PM- a whole 20 mins after sitting down and him seeing me

Once we were seated, the drinks also took 15 minutes. But again, the food was amazing.

I thought restaurants made most of their revenue from drinks? If so this is bad business...

Perfect evening of a seafood tower and steaks. Also able to tap into my cocktail cabinet for October! Love the atmosphere and service and food. A special evening with long time friends.

I ordered the chicken for two to split with a friend. There were no sides that come with it so it was just a very large chicken - wish I knew this before I ordered. But the chicken was very good!

A very enjoyable - and tasty - neighborhood dinner!

4th visit for dinner and never disappoints. From the smoked oysters to the bone marrow bearnaise served with the perfectly cooked steaks we always have a blast at Saxone and Parole.

We had a great dinner. Service was excellent and all the food and drinks were delicious. Looking forward to coming back.

Great food, fried oyster were excellent and everyone liked their food. Impossible burgers were a bit hit with the ladies.

I've only been to Saxon + Parole a handful of times, but every visit has been memorable. Our last visit was for the tasting menu, and it was a joy to share. We also thought highly of the cocktails.

What a great meal. They really know how to cook a fabulous steak, and the service is perfect.

Amazing food as usual. Every better service. Only complaint is they always make you wait at the bar for 5min.

Just okay food. Not out of this world. The Caesar salad didn’t have much flavor. The cocktails were delicious. The burger was fine

Great restaurant - great menu - artfully done. Our waiter recommended a wonderful pinot to go with our meal. The cheesecake sunday was good but not great. They had a terrifically creative razor clam egg salad which was delicious but could have been a larger portion. Otherwise everything was beautifully done.

Be sure that you get a well located table, or the ambient effect will be dreadful. We were squashed against a barrier behind which staff banged and crashed silverware and plates, and our seats were crammed tight. It was awful seating -- and the restaurant was mostly empty, they could have placed us comfortably. But we got screwed.
The Impossible Burger was perfectly prepared and delicious. Good wine but GULP $20/glass!

Overall, Saxon & Parole is a lovely place for dinner.
The atmosphere is pleasant although may be a little dark and noisy for some.
The food and wine menus had enough options to suit but be warned of certain portion sizes.
I ordered the seafood in bisque which was a reasonable portion with plenty seafood including scallops. My sister ordered the pork main and was astounded at the size of the portion which include a full pork chop and ribs. Although delicious, we did worry a little about the food waste.

We went for brunch as a party of 6. The hostess and bartender were very nice.. kind and accommodating as our group slowly trickled in. The Bloody Mary’s were very good. The food in general was okay although the burger I ordered and it’s fried egg were both over cooked. The issue was that our server was rude and unpleasant. Aside from her our experience was decent.

Delicious food as always

The mushroom terrine to share is spectacular as are the duck and scallops entrees. Highly recommend.

We had our wedding reception there last year, went back for our one year anniversary. The staff could not have been more wonderful in making our special occasion even more special.

Our party of 6 was seated on time at 7pm and for 25 min, no one came to the table to ask for a drink order or tell us about the menu. I finally got up and made a fuss and someone who did not appear to be a server came to the table to take our order. We placed our order at 7:35pm and not a morsel of food appeared until 8:25pm. The appetizers and entrees landed on the table at the same time. My Bavette steak was cold. Not even lukewarm. I was so fed up at this point, I didn't even complain. I just wanted to finish the meal and leave. My friend recommended this place and raved about it but I couldn't have had a worse experience.

I love Saxon & Parole which is in the sweet part of the city. Awesome staff, service and food. One of my favourite spots.

There isn’t a lot to be positive about this place. The tables are cramped, the food is bad and the service is lacklustre.

Our first time and definetly not our last time there. saxon&Parole has everything to become a favourite place to go and have a great dinner experience

One of our favorites for date night - solid Mocktail menu for those who don’t drink. The Garden Charcuterie is a complex array of unique flavors, highly recommended for those staying away from meat. Will be back again

Not as great as the first time. Waited 20 minutes and never received a drink refill. And the staff seemed put-out when we asked for our check and canceled the drink order.
