Amazing brunch! Loved all the different flavors and menu option. The egg sandwich and the cinnamon rolls were heavenly!
Sooooooooo great! The service was not only prompt and totally on point, but super friendly! The food was just fantastic! Building is funky and Ballard is just the right amount of "crunchy." Really great experience all around.
Fabulous staff and even more fabulous food. We enjoyed the sleek and open space and not too loud noise level. Our server was amazing!
Great ambiance, creative menu. Lots of
Shared plate options.
service and food were fantastic. Server was a sweet heart
Birthday brunch for two. Settting is lovely, food was delicious. Coffee excellent!
Great restaurant! We really enjoyed the food and the service was excellent. We will go there again.
Service was slow, food was meh. Hope they can turn it around.
Great service, amazing ambience, and delicious food. Recommend!
Everything was well executed, we had the duck and the sirloin, as well as the gnocchi, strawberry quinoa salad, and foie gras mousse. And dessert was the quattro leches cake that was fantastic!
Great atmosphere and great value, hats off to the chef-owner. Would love to meet someday :)
Sawyer is one of my favorite spot to get dinner. It’s always flavorful and surprising. I am totally crazy about their flat breads, check it out you won’t be disappointed !!
Took friends from Portland to Sawyer last weekend. They were blown away. Great food. On the deck. With drinks. And friends. Wonderful.
Brunch is fantastic. Go with a group and order the whole menu. Large portions.
The food was awesome at Sawyer. We loved everything we ate especially the spinach dip, the steam buns and the halibut. The only drawback was the service— they seated us 20 minutes after our reservation without any apology. We ordered drinks at the bar while waiting which didn’t arrive until 15 minutes after we sat down. Outside of service being unapologetically slow, the food was great and the space is cool.
Unclear why the hype. Unbalanced dishes. $36 for 2 oz of halibut. There are better places in Ballard.
Food was delicious and service was exceptional. The ambiance is nice but it's very open and noise travels so it gets really loud. The meals are small plates and meant to be shared family style so be prepared to order 3+ dishes.
We had a left if 8 and the server (young girl) was great. Only comment: no busing of old plates and we ordered a lot off the menu
Had a fun and amazing dinner here last Friday night celebrating my girlfriends birthday with friends, we booked the patio so it was a little more intimate, which made for a relaxing infused evening, the food was amazing as always and the server was very attentive, without being overly attentive, would recommend this restaurant all the time.
Fantastic food and great service. Really well crafted dishes. Spectacular. We will be back
The food here is always fresh, nicely presented and scrumptious. Dishes are generously proportioned, and many find the sweet spot between creative and comforting.
Service is consistently friendly and helpful. And while this is a very big room, it’s arranged so you feel ensconced in your own private space.
Amazing service and innovative food combinations!!!
Had heard so many good things about this restaurant so went for a friend’s birthday brunch. I ordered the breakfast nachos and didn’t like them at all. Our server offered to replace my dish so I took her up on it. Second time had the bowl with pork belly. It was good but overall I was underwhelmed with the food. Price was reasonable. Our server was excellent.
We always really enjoy our food and drink at Sawyer. This last visit was no exception! Delicious.
Service was good with the exception of the front of house, where the hostess was missing for several minutes when we arrived. The food was fine, just not anything that would make us choose Sawyer over the many better options in Seattle.
This is a fantastic place to enjoy the small, large and dessert plates offered by this clever chef. I don't say this very often, but I will return and highly recommend to family and friends1
The service was impeccable - our waiter Avery was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. The atmosphere was lively but not so loud that we couldn't hear others at our table. And the food - wow! Inventive, fresh, and with beautiful presentation. Most definitely a special occasion place but also somewhere where you can go and have a casual glass of wine and share several small plates.
too loud which takes away from otherwise nice dinner
Everything that we had was great; ended on a high note with the Smore chocotaco!
I wanted to take a friend out to dinner somewhere nice. I saw that Sawyer was getting good reviews, so we took a chance and went there. It was, without hesitation, the best food I’ve ever had at a restaurant. Everything we ordered was stellar. I hate to write this, because I’m worried I won’t be able to go again, since I’m sure that it will be packed!
Delicious food. Great service. Super attentive
Really spectacular dinner. I have been to sawyer several times so brought out of town friends for dinner. Nothing surprised me but friends were blown away by the meal. They claim this will be their favorite restaurant in Seattle.
Brunch is great!
WONDERFUL FOOD & service!
Sawyer is becoming my go to!! ♥️
I enjoyed the food however my bloody mary was not good. Went for brunch and will probably try lunch or dinner.
One of the best meals we have had in years. Imaginative menu of diverse dishes that can be easily shared. Really a fun evening out in Seattle. We highly recommend la terra plata
Cocktails OK, wine list OK, food AMAZING.
I think the restaurant is too spacious. It feels like it's too big, but I still had an amazing meal.
Everything was delicious thank you! Loved the cheesy bread, spinach dip, steak and gnocchi
Very pleasing overall. Good service, great space and inventive menu though disparate family style dishes require a little effort to synchronize to optimize the flavor potential. Price seemed very reasonable. Two out of four dishes excellent. The other two were good but not quite as good as I was expecting given the buzz. Still, I look forward to more experimentation in the future.
The food was great. We were seated outdoors as requested however we didn’t expect to have a view of ugly Shilshole Avenue. We probably would have preferred to eat inside the restaurant.
We shared 4 dishes off the savory menu and enjoyed them all, from the local strawberry salad with its crispy quinoa to the fabulous Korean shortribs and the rotisserie duck that came with special sauces and condiments. The wood-grilled artichokes were a bit too charred for our taste, but the sauce was delicious. The desserts are all super sweet, so be forewarned -- depending on your taste, they may come off as a bit cloying.
