Highly recommend Sawyer brunch! Reading through their online menu, I knew I had to try it out. Definitely exceeded expectations.
Also, patio seating was warm and comfortable. Big plus for winter dining.
A date night/ celebration spot through and through, Sawyer never fails to deliver. The food is unbelievably good, and the service is quick and personable without being overbearing. The open kitchen gives you a clear view of the culinary magic at play; overall it's a "can't miss" establishment.
Our server was amazingly kind and the food was impeccable. We were thrilled with our visit and will be back soon!
A true jam. The food is delicious, the staff was very accommodating and nice, not only professional - but also super nice and friendly. The ambiance was very pleasant too, and a true find in these stressful COVID times, felt very airy and safe, while still warm and protected from the weather. Will definitely come back
The pork belly buns are amazing and melt in youth mouth. Dishes are creative. Cocktails supreme! We'll be back.
They've done an amazing job creating a safe pandemic-friendly environment even in the winter!
Server was knowledgeable, attentive and fun. Best service in a long time.
Will be back!
I've heard about Sawyer for sometime, and I am so excited I finally made a reservation to check it out. The food from beginning to end is such a fun and delicious experience. Everything is super safe, covid - protocol friendly and my husband and I had a really good time. We can't wait to go back!
Our waiter tonight was great - he made sure our drinks were customized to our preferences, went the extra mile to modify dish servings for the number of people in our party, and was incredibly attentive, friendly, and a joy to have serving us during our meal. The food was delicious. We especially enjoyed the crab dip, artichokes, and pork belly buns!
Great! Perfect outdoor dining available during Covid
A great and safe place to be in the open air but under cover. Sterling food, service, and experience.
Great experience in post COVID environment. Wonderful patio “dine in “ offered.
Definitely try the monkey bread and loco moco. Both were delicious.
Excellent food , service and ambiance. Will def be back.
One of the best restaurant experiences during COVID! Great food, drnks, service and covered, heated patio with excellent ventilation, and yet, we never got cdrinks, our servicer was excellent and gave us a terrific experience.
A PERFECT evening out at Sawyer! Even in a pandemic, Sawyer has figured out how to give diners an absolutely wonderful experience. Their covered patio seating is plenty warm with lots of air flow and everyone is distanced enough to make it feel safe. The service was perfection, our server was incredible. He had great suggestions and made the whole experience feel special and, well, normal in a time when nothing feels normal! The food was so so good and came out fast—great when you are limited to 1.5 hours per reservation. This said, we never felt rushed.
There were plenty of sharable plates and I love that the menu changes often. Portion sizes were on the larger side. Lots of lovely cocktails to choose from and the quatro leche dessert was TO DIE FOR.
I can't imagine a better upscale dining experience for the winter of weirdness we're experiencing and will be putting this at the top of my restaurant list for Seattle!
It was our first time to Sawyer (drove all the way up from Tacoma!) & it was worth it! We had heard & read amazing things...We weren’t disappointed & will be back! Our server, Avery, was REALLY awesome! He was SO personable, friendly to everyone, helpful & on top of things...Extremely good at his job & he just made it a fun, enjoyable experience for everyone on that patio...during a time where we all really needed it! What a gem! See you again soon! CHEERS to 2021! =)
Great place to eat. We went on a Sunday for brunch. Sat outside. They have heaters, so very aware of Covid and cleaning/sanitation. Perfectly safe. Our server was amazing!
Delicious food and super wonderful service! Will definitely go back again and excited to test out more of their menu!
Great restaurant normally. The service is friendly and top notch. The new winter menu leaves something to be desired and hopefully will be changing soon.
Great food. Our server was awesome and not overly formal. It’s the best combination of casual and fancy. We will definitely be back.
Outstanding!
Great food, ambience and service. Recommended for sure. Patio is awesome with top covered and ample heaters.
All the food was fantastic. The patio was a little chilly but it's November. Nothing a jacket didn't solve.
Nice Brunch date
Wonderful brunch. Great atmosphere and food. All of the dishes we got were amazing. Loved the whole experience.
Great food and safe experience!
Modern, open atmosphere. Creative menu, with “check the box” paper menu for ordering. A little gimmicky on that front, sort of like ordering at a sushi restaurant. Bold but sometimes crowded flavors. I had the shrimp and grits, and it was good but not great. The grits themselves were soup-like in texture. Wine selection is average and a little overpriced.
Glad to have finally visited Sawyer, although for me it’s easier on the eyes than the palate or the wallet.
With the exception of one dish which was clearly overly sour and the staff refused to take off our check, everything was enjoyable.
This place was charming and service was great and attentive.
The menu is fillable with quantity line “next” to the menu item, but the lines weren’t aligned very well resulting in orders getting mixed up. We even made an effort to draw a line from the quantity to the menu item and the kitchen still mixed up the order.
The food was confusing, a steamed bun was actually a asian fusion taco, a monte cristo was actually a croque monsieur, and the hash was actually country potatoes. But, everything tasted great despite us confused by the dishes that arrived for dining. Really recommend the monkey bread and the stubborn butterfly drink.
One of the best restaurants in Ballard. The upstairs porch area is very nice and they manage to keep it warm enough during these colder nights. Make sure to get the pretzel appetizer!!!
The best place in Seattle, hands down!! We are from California and out of all the places that we ate at, this one blew them all out of the water.
Incredible! Amazing staff and food
We had the most unbelievable experience at Sawyer! The food was decadent and creative, perfectly executed. Every single dish we ordered was delicious. Our server, Avery, was a delight! He recommended the perfect dishes for us and was attentive, funny but not overbearing. We will definitely be back again for a second round during our trip. The beat food we’ve had in a while. Also, it felt so incredibly safe 💕 I’m pregnant and I felt well cared for. Thank you Avery and Sawyer!
As always the food was amazing. Our waiter was courteous, professional and funny. The restaurant was clean.
Great restaurant with amazing food and a solid, not over-the-top ambience. Food is perfect for sharing and the cocktails are quite good. I would highly recommend.
We were unexpectedly surprised by the flavors and quality of food. The restaurant was roomy and the staff was attentive. There were three of us enjoying the ambiance in a high ceilinged, historic, quiet but not too much so space. Sawyer treated us to an incredibly delicious plate of beam shaped tator tots fried in duck fat and served with two tasty sauces. Very tasty! For us - Sawyer delivered on flavor, portions and service. Will be bringing out of town guests here during the holiday season.
Their patio space is great option for fall COVID outdoor eating as it's completely covered and they can open garage doors and windows to allow air in and have heaters. Definitely recommend!
What a wonderful meal. The food, presentation, cocktails and service was impeccable! Major food highlights were the pork buns and the lamb!
Sawyer is always delicious, and their Pork Belly Bao is life-changing.
Restaurant week menu was truly delicious and generous which is rare. I appreciate how well they’re indoor/outdoor space is set up for Covid dining.
We had a very enjoyable meal at Sawyer - great food and service!
Sunday Brunch was amazing. Great value and fun items on the menu to try and share.
Def a good choice for dinner. Everything was amazing !!
