We strongly encourage you to make your Open Table reservations and we are happy to be able to take care of all of our valuable guests, again. We are Alberta's largest and most beautiful steak house. The Sawmill Prime Rib and Steakhouse stretches over 20,000 square feet with a seating capacity of over 700 dining room, lounge, banquet room, and patio combined.
This location has built its reputation on the Sawmill formula. Serving over half a dozen different cuts and sizes of Alberta beef one cannot go wrong ordering any one style. The Sawmill Prime Rib and Steakhouse has become known for many unique qualities and is open daily at 1130am except Sundays when we open at 3pm.

Private dining rooms, banquet rooms, 40-foot ceilings, outside patio bar and grill, Tom Goodchild's Moose Factory will have a place for you any day of the week. Come to experience the ambiance and enjoy the entertainment.

    We were seated right away and our server Lynn was at our table within a minute. We ordered drinks while we waited for our guests. Great selection of wine and beer the house red wine Jackson Trigg Cab Sauvignon is really good and our beer choices were granville IPA and Molson Cdn. that all went well with our meals. Lynn was very attentive and we ordered our lunch. The fish and chips were very tasty as was the shrimp skewers and Caeser salad, the Californication and Cubano were favourites of our guests. Lynn made our visit very enjoyable. Personable and attentive and a great sense of humour . Our lunch was really great as always. We go to this restaurant a lot the servers and staff and great food make our dining experience a guarantee for us to return.

    Took my wife for an Alberta Beef as we come from Vancouver and I was born in Edmonton, totally bragged about this place. It had been 30 years since my return. I have the worst prime rib ever, zero taste and tough as hell, the friend that was also with us had the same and his was no different. my wife had the braised rib and thought is was okay, but commented that she has had better at home. So much for Alberta Beef I guess. As we do not live in Edmonton it is no big deal, but I will say I will never brag about the Sawmill again or ever return.

    Wonderful meal and great service. There are lots of options on the menu, so it was hard to decide. We had the prime rib and Cordon Blu chicken.

    Seated quickly by friendly staff. Table was perfect for our group. Breakfast buffet was fresh and varied. Servers worked together to make sure we were looked after. Attentive and helpful without being intrusive or annoying.

    It was a Tuesday night at 7:00 and we were the only ones in the restaurant. Food was good and so was the service. It just lacked any ambiance when we were the only one there

    Great food, but service flow and kid pricing could be improved The food was great—flavourful and nicely presented—but the experience started off a bit disjointed. After being seated, we weren’t given any guidance on whether to wait or help ourselves. Eventually, I asked the bartender, who let us know we could go ahead. After we started eating, I returned to the bar to order drinks, only to learn she wasn’t able to serve us. At that point, no server had come by our table, and we didn’t know who was assigned to us. The bartender sent someone over, and from there the experience improved. The server mentioned she had come by earlier but must have just missed us. A staff member also kindly helped stabilize our wobbly table. I had made a quick fix myself, but she had a better solution, which was appreciated. There were several dessert options, and I was thankful someone informed me that the chocolate fountain contained nuts, as I have a hazelnut allergy. That said, another staff member wasn’t sure about the ingredients in the other desserts, though some seemed nut-free. I overheard a few guests comment on the limited kid-friendly options and noticed some children had only bread and salad on their plates. While I do think you can piece together a decent plate for a child, the $45–$65 (there is a discount for child but not much I believe, two of us was I believe $110 for buffet which includes drinks then tip on top I believe) charge felt too steep for what most kids would actually eat. A $25 rate would be more reasonable. Overall, the atmosphere was pleasant, and the food was very enjoyable. With a bit more clarity in service and a more thoughtful approach to kid pricing, the experience could easily go from good to great.

    Disappointed at the time they changed us too and the fact no one told us the buffet closed at 2:30. No wonder they weren't replenishing deviled eggs and some salads. We felt like we didn't have enough time. The price we paid - shoulda been better
