We have had amazing food and service in the past but this visit was a disappointment all the way around especially for what we paid
Tried to make a reservation for on the patio via phone from 10 AM until 3:45 PM (6 phone calls) with no answer from the restaurant. Finally booked thru open table with special instructions asking for the patio. When we got there they had us inside the bar. Server (Jennifer) was fantastic. 1st couple dozen of wings were not even warm, next batch were hot which was great! Guacamole with the Nachos was not Guacamole but sliced up Avocado on the chips. Not worth the extra $. At the end, Jennifer never asked about the Loyalty Card and we never thought of it since it has been sooo many months since we have been out because of Covid. Food was mediocre, wings small, cold initially, service was GOOD, Jennifer was very personable.
Always good. Service, food, decor above average. A go-to place for me.
As always everything was great only thing is the benches are dated and could use some updating. Servers are always great as well.
Food was very uneven. Two eggs in two separate egg Benedict dishes were properly served, the other two were almost hard boiled. ☹️
Hollandaise sauce was a real disappointment, tasted like it was made with margarine, blech!!!
Servers were both good, but didn’t offer other beverages - we ended up asking for mimosas. Coffee refill was hard to get at first, but then they came over more often with refills. Overall a disappointment, we’ve come many times before and it’s always been really good!!!
Everything was great. Food was excellent as ever, and their system to deal with our covid reality was great. We had an excellent dinner.
I found the experience quite enjoyable, with exception to social distancing which could have been a little better.
My food was very good, had beef dip. My other diners were not to keen on their selection. Pricing was probably a factor. Service was excellent.

Very underwhelming. The service was good, but the restaurant was very quiet. Given the small number of guests the food was not very impressive. All of my courses were almost cold. It wasn’t to the point where I would send it back, but very close to doing so.
Excellent variety of dishes, yummy appetizers, delicious main dish, wonderful desserts. Had food to take home. Waitress was very attentive and engaging. Decor was nice, and place was clean and ambient

We haven’t been to the sawmill in several years, and thoroughly enjoyed our evening out. The food was delicious, cooked perfectly and didn’t arrive 10 minutes after we ordered, so we had time to actually sit visit and enjoy our evening without feeling rushed. Our server was very pleasant and check back frequently. The restaurant itself is lovely it’s like a step back in time with the brick and the old pictures on the wall. The music was in the background but not overpowering so you couldn’t have a conversation. We will be back
I would only recommend based on the food. It's way too dark in the restaurant, we had to use our phones to read the menu. The staff aren't very attentive and there was no salt or pepper on the table. The bathroom is out of date and the soap dispensers are DIRTY! Like gross. I miss the old sawmill.

My group was quite satisfied with the food,except for one of two who had the buffet. He said that the food he had didn’t taste fresh. The service was good and cordial but we waited quite a long time to be served our first cup of coffee. All in all our experience was a good one and would recommend.
Our experience was awesome. Food a little pricey but was tasty and the service outstanding so definitely worth it.
They were so accommodating and friendly. Food was good but not much for gluten free.

We got there at our reserved time 6 PM.Were told our waitress would be right back. 1/2 hr later she returned only to take our drink order. Took 15 min for drinks to come to the table. said she would be back to take our food order. finally came and took our food order. We waited for our food order watching people who came in later than us and ordered after we did get, and have finished eating even before we got our meals. Our food came at 8. 2 hrs after we arrived. The waitress did however offer to buy us deserts. wont be going back there.
Made a reservation 2 weeks before Valentine’s Day, we were seated in the bar area at a uncomfortable table next to a group that was very loud and obviously there just drink, instead of the dinning area where we probably should have been for a romantic personal dinner. Ended up just staying for a drink each and that was 30 bucks. Not worth our time.
I was looking for a semi-fancy, romantic steakhouse for Valentine's Day and the previous reviews suggested Sawmill. Never had been there before. Booked a spot for 7:45. We were a few minutes late just due to traffic/weather conditions, but upon arrival we still had to wait 15 minutes before getting seated. What was worse though was that they seated us in the Lounge area which, for Valentine's Day, was less than ideal. It was loud, not very romantic, table was uneven/wobbly, and considering we dressed up in a more semi-formal manner we were definitely over-dressed in comparison to the rest of the patrons. In retrospect, we should've insisted on the dining area even if it meant waiting a little bit longer. Aside from the ambiance/environment, it was also not made clear that the Valentine's Day menu was a fixed menu - this was likely something OpenTable should've made apparent when making the reservation. The Valentine's Day menu was very expensive, and although the choices of food we made ended up being very good in terms of quality and taste, considering the price I would've found a better value in somewhere else like Keg or other similar steakhouses. Service was mediocre as well; our hostess was kind but failed to get refills for our drinks even once during the duration of our stay - not entirely her fault though given how busy it was that night. Overall, our experience wasn't quite what we were expecting, and despite the food itself being very good, considering the price, ambiance, and service we probably won't be heading back there again.

Took 15 minutes to get a menu. Food came out relatively quick but was disappointed in the seating area. We were seated right beside the breakfast buffet on valentine’s day where they turned the lights off and piled dirty dishes, was very disappointed. Also was a high traffic area, and the person sitting in the aisle felt in the way the whole night, by staff. We had our reservation booked for a while and when we went to be seated, our table had already been taken and we needed to be reseated somewhere else. When the entree came out, both meats were well undercooked but since it was so busy, we were unable to tell the waitress and ate what we could. The menu was restricted , which was unfortunate. The mushrooms were not what I have had before from other locations, as they looked like they were from a can. Overall, the waitress was busy all evening and did what she could but food, and value was not up to expectation. Paying 150$ for a meal on a special day like valentine’s day and receiving what we did, was quite a disappointment.
Food was under cooked not worth the money it was also cold the lady beside us had under cooked meat as well as my boyfriend I sent my steak back twice.
We booked a reservation for Valentine’s Day dinner, when we arrived there was a special menu that we were not aware of. There were 3 options for a 3 course meal ranging from mid $50s to high $60s per person.
After we were seated, it took about 7-10mins before the server asked what we would like to drink but too bad we didn’t have a drink menu to look at.
As we sat and waited for our drinks, we saw 2 tables leave with kids because they never had any other family friendly options for food.
It took a while to order our food and we never had any potato option given to us besides the mashed potatoes as the side. Meanwhile afterwards I heard the other server from the table next to us give 3 options.
By the time we got our food, I was finished my drink. We ate our steak and I was about 2 or 3 bites away from finishing my entire plate before the server asked how everything was. Luckily for her, the cooks did an amazing job. She never noticed that my drink had been empty for the last 10 minutes though and never offered to refill it.
Then we waited for desserts and as she took our order while walking by us, I tried to mention that we had a peanut allergy and she kept walking by without eye contact saying, “oh ya, no peanuts, no problem.”
The bill came very fast though... the tip unfortunately only reflected the hard work of the cooks.
I won’t be going back to this location any time soon.
Excellent services and food. Seated promptly as we arrived. Will definitely be back again.
Our business dinner started out fine. Then it went downhill when the server brought the entree before my colleague finished her appetizer. Then the service went downhill from there. The server was annoyed we ordered dessert! When I asked him if he was in a rush, he answered "we closed at 9pm" (noting this was 9:15pm when we paid the bill and that there was another table next to us still eating their dinner). With service like that, I will never go back!
Missed the buns before dinner. We had buns before dinner in the west end location.
We enjoyed our dinner at the Sawmill. The food was good, the server was friendly. Would definitely go back again.
We don’t drink alcohol. I think the waitress did not like that. Food was very good. Had to wait little longer for the food to arrive. But that’s ok. Mean while we had some buns. They were very good.
The only thing I would change is the lighting it's to dark in there we could barely see the menu.

We attended the Sawmill South for my daughters birthday, loved the atmosphere, liked the interior design, kind of rustic looking. Lots of nice historical photos. Service was incredible, server was very professional, knowledgeable and respectful. Our appetizers came quickly as did the main course, the food was incredible, my kids commented throughout the meal how tasty it was. We will return rest assured, we will let others know of our experience as well.
Service was slow, food was prepared wrong. Waited a long time for the food to arrive and when it did it was not prepared as requested.
The food was very tasty but not hot. Three people in our party of six ordered top serloin steaks. One med rare two med well. All were very tough with string type texture. The service was excellent and the restaurant was quiet, busy, but not full.
