   Recommend the prime rib and the salmon. Chicken Oscar was okay - I suggest you substitute something for the rice. My wife had the twice baked potato with bacon - fantastic.

   Wish the Sawmill would have the brunch like pre covid. As always Terrance was excellent server. The new server Katie is also excellent with amazing beautiful smile.

   Food was good. Service not so much. Our waiter was in jeans and we had to request parts of our meal that didn’t get served the first time. Crème brûlée dessert was disappointing as it was partly frozen

   Our dinner was delicious. My hubby had prime rib, and I had brisket. Both dishes were very tasty and beautifully presented. Our server was as great too; very attentive and professional. It was a great experience and we will be back.

   Made reservation to celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary. My wife is a light eater so she ordered Steakbites and a bowl of Onion Soup. For myself I was wanting a Steak so I ordered the 12oz Ribeye for $49.95. The steak only came with French Fries or Mashed Potato’s so I ordered the optional Baked Stuffed Potato for another $3.95 and what is a steak without Mushrooms so I also ordered the Button Mushrooms for again an additional $6.95. My wife ordered a glass of House Red Wine and we ordered 2 coffees. When my steak came I was busy chatting with our daughter so I never noticed the meal placed before me. I quickly ended the call and looked down to see my steak!!! My compliments to the Butcher who was able to cut a Ribeye steak that thin, like it was not much more than 1/2 “ thick. The steaks usually have fat marbling but this steak had more than it’s fair share the steak was cooked close to Medium rare but it was tough try to cut through the fat. The meal was served with a small spoonful of Squash and 3 little soggy wrinkled Broccoli and 2 Little Slices of Tomato. The Button Mushrooms that I ordered were instead Regular Mushrooms chopped up into small pieces. I was very disappointed in the overall Celebration that we had waited 50 years for…. The overall bill less tip was $110 dollars. Clearly the Management at the Sawmill Steak House has their eyes set only on High Profit and lay the Blame on High Food Prices….. You should definitely look for another Steakhouse in Grande Prairie before spending your hard earned cash here. I must say that the service was very good but the meal a major disappointment.

    Usually the service is excellent but for whatever reason our service was not great this time around. Our food took forever to come and the restaurant was not even that busy. Thankfully the saving grace was the food tasted wonderful at least. I love the Sawmill and choose it over the Keg regularly but this time around our wait staff just wasn’t having a good day at all!!

    We hadn't fined at our local Sawmill in over a year , so this was a big treat! We were promptly greeted by our server, Michael, who had a wonderful personality. He promised he would get anything we needed to make our night perfect, and his energy reassured me he was telling the truth. Our appetizers came within the perfect amount of time. Not too quick, not too late. We had the calamari (always perfect!) and the Jalisco Shrimp, which we had never had before. I was beyond our expectations! The shrimp were huge and perfectly cooked! So delicious! My husband and I both ordered the rib steak for our mains. He ordered his medium rare. It was cooked perfect. My rare rib eye, was cooked better than I expected it would be. Usually it might come out kind-of-rare. I was extremely happy it came perfectly rare throughout! I let Michael know how impressed I was with it. Michael was very happy to hear that we loved everything, and assured he would tell the chefs that we were very happy. He said he had only been working there for a week and a half. I really hope he stays and we get to enjoy his amazing service again!! Everything was perfect, as usual! Thanks for a great experience!!!

    Asked for a private room or private corner of the restaurant at time of reservation and they confirmed. Day of lunch meeting they insisted we go to the bar. When we said the restaurant then they put us right in the middle surrounded by tables. Regretted the restaurant, wish they told us they couldn’t give us a private table.

    Ordered Alfredo as a side on one plate received mash potatoes instead. Asked for Oscar on my steak and they put it on top of my Brussels sprouts instead. Was advised by waiter that our table order went in behind a party of 8 so I asked for a French onion soup while I waited and the soup was brought out after my entree. Food was good , tastes were on point. Service is just missing the details which really distract from the over all experience.

    Food was cold, the cheese on the poutine was frozen. The birthday dessert was never delivered. The server took forever to bring us the bill and same with returning for us to pay.

    Great atmosphere and wonderful servers. Food was adequate, we found the mushroom caps to be dry and stringy. I ordered a med-rare steak and it was over cooked. Overall, it was a good experience.

    For New Years eve the service was very good. We had salmon and steak. The salmon was outstanding and steak looked very good. The service was excellent. The salad was a little wilted but considering how busy it was everything went smooth.

    My grandmas meat was all fat , I didn’t get a birthday drink or dessert, waitress was rude when we asked for a new piece of meat and basically said that’s what we get as the beef is all marbled when the meat was legit fat , my wine wasn’t cold

    My second time to the sawmill,did not disappoint that’s for sure.The food was fantastic and the service was above and beyond.It’s been a long time since we were served by such a friendly fantastic waitress.I can’t remember her name but she should be recognized for a fantastic job.The ceases were the best.

    We checked their closing time and it was 11pm. We got there at 9:26 and they told us the kitchen closes at 9:30 so we had to order right away because they were closing early on that day. The waitress asked us if we needed anything thing and asked us about the bill Over all, we were rushed while eating. Nothing was welcoming for us on that day which was supposed to be our wedding anniversary. I guess we chose the wrong place and not again for sawmill.
