One of the only restaurants whose ever read our requests in the comment section of our reservation. Surprisingly lovely place with excellent service and food.
They seated us immediately and the decor is beautiful. Little pricier than other Thai places I’ve been, but they definitely deliver an “elevated” experience.
My boyfriend took me here this past weekend for my birthday and I must say I was very pleased. The restaurant was warm and welcoming. The staff was friendly. The restaurant was very clean. Food was delicious. Overall a very nice place.
When we walked in we were greeted by a nice trendy ambiance and the smell of good food. However, that quickly faded when we were seated next to the kitchen and all we could smell every time the door opened was the smell of stinky feet. The drinks we ordered had zero alcohol in them, the wait for the food was extraordinarily long and the food was mediocre. Not a great experience.
One of the better restaurants in the culinary wasteland of Long Island.
What a disappointing meal! First, the typical Sate appetizer was flavorful and satisfying. The vegetables Drunken Noodles were similarly good. The salad and our grilled shrimp entre were vile. They were SOAKED in greasy fish oil and the shrimp tasted like it was first boiled in garden hose grade water.
The service was inattentive and the wait for food was beyond acceptable. This place advertises that it’s food is “Elevated”. The only thing elevated here was the bill. Frankly, this place is destined for more reviews like mine.
Amazing Thai! Duck cooked perfect, beautiful Decore, super sweet staff. Ask for level 4 spice "no joke" to get the true taste of Thailand. This place is the real deal.
Another great meal at Sawasdee.
The most consistent good food and service that we’ve ever experienced.
Our go to place in Nassau County 👍🏻
I like Thai food and found this restaurant on line. It was within 3 miles from the hotel. Great ambiance, service and food. I will go back again.
Chicken pad Thai is amazing! I love it here!
We went as a party of six. We decided to try something different. We all loved the place. Food was very good. Never had steak that was like butter. Great flavor. We came from Smithtown and it was worth the drive
I have eaten here several times and each and every time it has been superb !
I love this restaurant. Their Pad Thai is great! I also have to recommend you try their Thai Coconut Cocktail, it's fantastic. Their Thai iced tea is also excellent. I have never had a bad experience and I have been here quite a few times. Very kind and attentive service as well as beautiful décor.
The waitress was lovely, and the food was good. This was the 2nd time we had the following experience, and, as a result, will not be back. We arrived at 7:30, ordered 3 drinks and 3 appetizers at 7:40. At 8:15, one drink was brought to the table, and were told they were still making the other 2 drinks. The other 2 drinks arrived at 8:25, and appetizers arrived at 8:30. When the dinners arrived, we ordered 2 more drinks, which didn’t arrive until we finished eating our dinners, 30 minutes later. Again, the waitress said they were still making the drinks when we asked about the status of the drinks.
Beautiful decor, sweet servers. Great good and we weren't rushed. A nice evening with good friends. Thank you
Wish I would have found this restaurant sooner. Interesting menu, all with great flavors, even for a vegetarian like me. Vegetarian duck, yum!
The deco was beautiful. They have a variety of cocktails on the menu - but they were disappointing. We may as well have ordered drinks without the alcohol as they all tasted like fruit juice. The food was delicious, so was the presentation. We ordered mango cheesecake for dessert - I don't recommend it. It was burnt, crust and the frosting. However, the entrees were delicious! I would definitely go back but skip dessert.
Nice selection of cocktails, although mine was a tad sweet. Modern décor and friendly staff. Service was a bit off since one person in our party had to wait fairly long for her entrée. Otherwise the waitress was attentive and they were good with replenishing water glasses. We shared a bunch of apps and the drunken noodles and Thai fried rice. All were very good. The prawns were gigantic and steak was tender according to hubby. Finished with fried flaming ice cream and the banana spring rolls; both delish. I will definitely be back to try some other dishes.
Fantastic service. Fantastic food.
Great food, extremely flavorful and well spiced. Service was amazing!
My family went to Sawasdee on a Sunday night. We had spinach tempura as an appetizer which was delicious. We chose to eat family style. The sweet and sour chicken, pad Thai and fried rice were delicious. The restaurant is nicely decorated in purple ,gray ,and white, The murals on the wall are beautiful. Our waitress was friendly and the service was good. My only complaint was that it was a little chilly in the restaurant. We will definitely be back! The prices are a little higher compared to other Thai restaurants we have dined in but well worth it!
I just adore this place. The food is extremely flavorful and delicious (excellent for vegetarians!) The staff is attentive....the decor is great. Everything about this place rocks!
Food is veey good. Ambiance is excellent. Service was a bit slow but I didn't mind. We were originally asked if we want drinks but only one round. They were good with replenishing water though. I will eat there again. The Food is always very good.
Place is beautiful. We ordered spring rolls, Golden bags, and dumplings. Drunken noodles and Thai fried rice. Finished with fried flaming ice cream. The absolute best experience. Waitress recommended drinks, was very attentive, and our food came out beyond our expectations. Best Thai food I’ve tried yet.
Great place! Great food great service! Everything was wonderful and everyone was very friendly. I took my fiancé for our anniversary and she loved it! Also try the fried ice cream for dessert you will not regret it!
Lovely restaurant. Excellent and solicitous service. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. This was our first time dining there and we can’t wait to go back.
The waitress didn’t realize we were her table for 10 mins or so, but made a great rally. The food was very good. Thai chicken wings are not healthy, but they were delicious.
Food was great as was service, but the mixup with my open table check in for me hesitant to use them again
Very nice contemporary clean dining room with very good to excellent Thai food. Only complaint was that some servers didn't have great command of English and brought food out to fast. Hope to return soon
It was my birthday their Mai Tai’s are awesome the service was outstanding, plenty of parking’
The food is always excellent. Especially great for vegetarians. Excellent variety and everything is full of flavor. My favorite local restaurant.
We keep coming back because the food is wonderful!!!
Great decor and atmosphere. Our food was well presented and delicious. The waitress was knowledgeable and made tasty recommendations.
Very good food and service. The fried lollipop chicken was delicious!
The place is beautiful with good food and customer service!
Always excellent food and great service
Terrific food! We have eaten at Sawasdee now several times and have never been disappointed. Great service and various meals from the menu are all very fresh and nicely presented. Wait staff are attentive and very kind. Highly recommended for Thai!
Try the mango margarita - it's excellent, as is pretty much everything on the menu.
We continue to love dining at this gem of a restaurant- Delicious Thai
Cuisine and Drinks, beautiful atmosphere, friendly courteous
staff.. You will not be disappointed.
Saturday dinner in December for two couples at Sawasdee Thai Elevated in Plainview. It's located in a strip mall with plenty of parking in the evening. The decor is clean and modern (although we all noticed how hard the chairs were after our 3-hour gab fest).
We started with Laotian beer (a bit light for my taste, but nice, and there were a number of selections), and shared two unique and delicious appetizers: vegetable dumplings (unexpected shape and flavors) and "Golden Bags" (a mixture of chicken and vegetables lightly fried in a crisp dough pouch).
My excellent roast duck curry entree was creatively prepared, and they were very accommodating when I asked them to omit the pineapple. The pad Thai was one of the better versions of that dish that I have tasted. The four of us shared a slice of very good mango cheesecake to finish the meal.
I'd agree with the restaurant's motto: "Not your neighborhood Thai." I look forward to returning.
