Our founders began their journey in the heart of Thailand. Owner John Conrad met his wife Walailak in Thailand, where she was born and raised. John lived and worked in Thailand for 5 yrs and adored the experience. He looked for a way to bring an authentic Thai cultural experience back to America.
That’s how Sawasdee was born: as a restaurant that combines authentic Thai cuisine with modern dining. Thai food is all about marrying complexity with harmony, Sawasdee aims to continue that tradition.

Food was prepared. Full of flavor. Great menu selection. Handcrafted lychee soda was refreshing. Staff very earger and helpful just short staffed. Food came out very quickly. Everyone had a different dish it was 5 of us we were all happy and we've been to Thailand so we knew what to expect. My only suggestion is that they exclude the green peas from the golden bags

I really enjoyed taking my family members to this restaurant because the menu has something for everyone. The youngest had only appetizers and the big boys were able to satisfy their appetites. The boys just loved the fried ice cream dessert which was spectacularly flamed at the table.

Very disappointed. Service was terrible. Drinks took over 20 minutes to come and were diluted from ice melting. Food was just ok. Have had much better Thai food at smaller, inexpensive Thai restaurants. Restaurant wasn’t even full on a Saturday night so service should have been great, not slow. They did replace our melted, diluted drinks after we requested they do so.

No one available to greet after walking in. When I walked in, I had to wait for several minutes and finally ask the person behind the bar (who is probably the owner) if they are accepting people for dining (I had a reservation). And all these while this individual was behind the bar ignoring me completely, till I asked him. I have gone to this place numerous times, but this is the first time that I felt offended actually. This individual (probably the owner) behind the bar has always been unfriendly, but ignoring the guests like this is very uncalled for. I will never ever go to this place. There are much better Thai places in the area.

Food was outstanding. Service was slightly slow, so if you have somewhere to be let them know when you sit down. Overall, I highly recommend this place. The coconut soup was incredible!

Wow, what a disappointment. This is one of my favorite restaurants and my boyfriend and I came here on Valentine’s Day and was seated with no problem. Then we waited and after 10 minutes, no one came by with water, a drink menu, no one even stopped over. Then finally the waitress walks over and asks if we are ready to order. I used to be a waitress and that is not right. All I have to say is the drinks and appetizers were very good but that’s all we got. We were sat for an hour and our entrees were not coming out anytime soon and the kitchen was apparently closing. The only way I even know what was happening because I overheard the hostess tell another table who she had just sat down. Also, our waitress never came back over to us after she gave us our drinks. I had to ask a different server where our appetizers even were. Sitting there, you can see how they took take out orders as a priority instead of their dine in customers. My mom absolutely loves this place and I hated that I couldn’t bring her home dinner. Never coming back here and wasting my time let alone a holiday on this place.

Everything was good but there weren’t a lot of servers so it was difficult to ask for something, like a drink or refill (maybe someone called out the night I went). I had the yellow curry and it was the best comfort meal I have had in a long time.

We came for my parent’s anniversary lunch today. Chicken wings came out raw so they took them and brought them back. Chicken sate had no flavor. Penang chicken is okay. We had to ask for water refill. We were very disappointed overall. We won’t return.

Sawasdee is a outstanding restaurant. The décor is absolutely gorgeous. The venue is so friendly from the moment you enter. The staff and owners are welcoming. The drinks and food are delicious.
