About Savoy Bar and Grill Albuquerque
Abundant and beautiful California Wine Country in the Northeast Heights. Welcome to “Savoy”! A sun-filled, unpretentious but sophisticated, wine-friendly restaurant. As you walk into the dramatic high-ceiling entryway, you are moved in all directions. To the East you have a frosted view of the tasting room, loaded with fresh flowers and walls of glass-encased wine. To the West you get a glimpse of the lounge bar leading to the vine-covered patio. Light, open and airy with butter-colored walls, dark wood and black & white photography of wine country all come together to create an elegant yet surprisingly comfortable atmosphere in the main dining room. The dark and contemporary edge to the room is offset during the day with an abundance of natural light from large windows and three strategically placed skylights. That oven will be our culinary focal point for the exhibition kitchen, where our guests will see and smell the citrus roasted duckling, the roasted platter of shellfish

Savoy Bar and Grill Albuquerque Ratings and Reviews
A mainstay local restaurant with an excellent base menu complimented by daily specials. Not to be missed is the best version of Prime Rib to be consumed on both sides of the Mississippi. Get the horseradish with it but be prepared, the raw "Atomic" version lives up to its name. Very good wine list and excellent well-informed wait-staff. For dining alone full or lighter menu is available at the bar.
We ate dinner here during the balloon fiesta and loved every bite. We started dinner with a dozen oysters. They were wonderful. My husband ordered two more appetizers, crab cakes and ahi tuna. He said they were delicious. Our friend ordered the lemon garlic shrimp with pasta. She ate everything and declared it “amazing.” I ordered a corvina fish special. It was so wonderful I finished it. Dick and Felix ordered and finished the flight of ice cream sandwiches.
Everything was expertly prepared and innovative. The wine list was varied and well-selected. Our server, Carter, was very professional. It was an outstanding dinner.
Celebrating a birthday at Savoy's was extremely enjoyable. The menu is varied enough to accommodate different requirements and tastes but the featured items are just outstanding. The flat iron steak was perfectly cooked and the vegetables that came with it enhanced the flavor. Get the sautéed mushrooms and you have a birthday dinner of note. The prices, while not low, are not outrageous. Very affordable for a special occasion. The service staff was friendly but not intrusive.
The food was excellent - across our table we had fish and meat options. Ambiance is always good. However, I cannot say that it's good for birthdays as I indicated in the reservation that this was a birthday event, and mentioned it several times during dinner with the server present, but there was no candle, no offer of a dessert, nothing.
We were celebrating a friends birthday. The waiter was very good and told us of the evenings chef specials. All of us ordered steaks and each were served exactly as ordered. From medium rare to medium well, each was perfect. The steaks were an excellent grade of beef, tender and loaded with flavor. Great evening, great service, great atmosphere and a night to remember.
Reccomended to me by a coworker and Oh Boy was it worth it. The open kitchen was an attraction as the hard work seen translated to the plate. Seasame seed coated ahi tuna (salad), Tomato soup, Calimari, Proscuitto wrapped pork tenderloin, Filet mignon; From start to finish every dish was excecuted perfectly
The food was fantastic and very well prepared. There was a lot going on in various areas of the restaurant, with a band playing in the bar area as well, but the noise level was never loud in the area we were seated in. Our server was great He very attentive, well informed on the various special and regular items and always had a smile.
Excellent food, especially the vegetarian special that was mushroom madness! My son said it was the best meal he'd ever had there. My MIL loved it as well. I got my usual the ahi entree Which was great as usual, although the ahi was more toward medium than medium rare as ordered. We dine at Savoy fairly often and sometimes the service can be hit or miss, but this time it was spot on.
We would have thought the restaurant was full by the way the host kept looking at the screen trying to find a table for us. Finally we were shown to a seat. We spent almost $200.00 and the food (halibut and filet) were just okay. We'll never go back to the restaurant which, by the way, was empty at 8:00. We do hear that the bar is the place to go for tapas, drinks, and live music.
Wonderful evening and delicious food!! We were celebrating our 43rd wedding anniversary and our daughter's 31st birthday - both on the same day! Our server gave us complimentary dessert which was such a fun surprise. We highly recommend Savoy - we've always had great meals there!!
Savoy was pleasant as ever. I just have a little feedback about my scallop dish. It seems to me that chefs go out of their way to put every rich, cloying ingredient on the same plate with scallops. Why is that? The scallop itself is already so buttery and rich, it seems to me that it should be paired with things like bitter greens that cut through that buttery flavor. This dish was too rich! The golden beets, while delicious, were roasted to a point of carmelization. Same with the fennel. Then add the sauce which was butter based and the arancini, and (save for 3 small slices of orange), there was just no relief from the cloying richness. Each item by itself was delicious, but all together it was just a huge butter bomb.
