Savory Cafe & Provisions
Absolutely enjoyed everything! Loved they have souffle!
Excellent service and the food was superb.
A hidden gem in HHI,
Great food great atmosphere
Overall experience was better than I expected. It’s nice to see a French restaurant in this region. Lots of southern flair to the cuisine here. (Not my ideal but I think it helps with more mass appeal.).
Had duck that was quite tasty but somewhat over salted for my taste. Duck breast was served closer to medium so overdone for the medium rare that it is typically served at, but still moist and tender. Daughter’s beef bourguignon was quite good as were her mashed potatoes. Her Caesar salad was classic, a little overdressed but still quite good. Lemon pana cotta was a standout.
We love this restaurant. It’s a bit hard to find, but well worth the effort. It’s our go-to place for new friends and Bluffton and Hilton Head residents, and they have never been disappointed. The food is delicious, the menu varied, presentation is five-star, service is friendly and attentive and prices are reasonable. We have done lunch, dinner and Sunday brunch and they’re all great. They do a special paired dinner Friday and Saturday that we enjoy. We’ve heard complaints about the size of the paired pours, but we think they’re adequate.
Cute little place with attentive service. A quiet place to meet a friend.
We enjoyed a relaxing dining experience at Savory Cafe. They have different tasting menus each week and this one did not disappoint! I highly recommend trying it. Great value with the wine pairing option as well. John our waiter paced everything perfectly and each small course was delicious and savored.
We were a group of six in the small private dining room. We all took advantage of the Tuesday evening all-night Sunset menu, which is a really good deal. I think everyone liked what they ordered. Our waiter was excellent. It was a very enjoyable evening.
The French cuisine is delicious and it's a great place to got at this time without a reservation on HHI. Sitting in the bar has a nice ambiance.
Celebrated our 49th Anniversary with friends at a perfect place. Trout Filet and Weiner Schnitzel were wonderful as was the Grand Marnier Soufflé desert. Service was very attentive but not rushed. Planning a return evening already.
We very much enjoyed our evening and are passing the word to our friends.
Merci Mr Pascal pour ce delicieux diner
first of all - our souffle desserts were outstanding! The beet salad was very good. We went on a quiet Monday evening - the restaurant was VERY quiet. For me, the entree options were limiting. My port schnitzel was good but not outstanding. The restaurant could use some modernizing as it feels tired.
Cocktails were excellent. Manhattan and Margaritas.
Savory Café & Provisions is probably one of the best upscale dining experiences in the area, while having a casual atmosphere. Chef Pascal is incredible, and knows exactly what he's doing in the kitchen. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly, and the prices are extremely reasonable for the quality of the food and the service. Highly recommended to anyone who is looking for top notch French cuisine and would like a quiet dinner with superior food and service.
I really enjoyed my seafood crepes and creme caramel for dessert. The atmosphere is really nice and a good noise level for conversation. If you like to dine with a nice beverage, entree and dessert, this is the place.
Food was very bland and was disappointed in service. Also the location is about 20 mins off the island so it was not close to where majority stay when visiting HHI.
Also, older crowd and not setup well for families or larger parties.
We have enjoyed Savory on prior occasions and each time have been very pleased with the food and presentation. We both ordered the tasting. This being the second night, we were a bit surprised to learn that several items had been switched out due to strong demand. However, we were not disappointed in the substitutions! The shrimp on cauliflower risotto was delicious, creamy with a hint of lobster in the sauce. The crab encrusted halibut was cooked perfectly-crispy outside yet moist and tender inside. The lamb chops were done just the way we like them-rare and finger licking juicy. Top it all off with a warm chocolate cake and fruit, and delicious pairings and what’s not to like.
Excellent meal and service! Dover Sole was delicious.
Surprisingly good. Well cooked and seasoned, a pleasure for the neighborhood. Not great but very good.
We had a lovely dinner. The owner came out to check on us. The four of us really enjoyed the evening. Can't wait to go back!
Would highly recommend.
excellent early dining menu, good value. cocktail and wine menu were very customer friendly
This place was a good experience.
Went to a Later lunch on Thursday and was not busy. Service was great. Food was excellent and would recommend for foodies as the tastes were unique and layered. French bread was fresh warm and very tasty
Years ago, in Orlando, we found a French restaurant called La Normandie and enjoyed diming there. It closed; we were saddened. A few years later, we were vacationing on Hilton Head Island and came across a lovely French restaurant - Claude and Uli's. Voila! they had moved here from Orlando. We enjoyed dining with them for many years. They have retired; the restaurant is now Savory Café and Provisions. So few changes - newly decorated - nicely. The food is delicious; the ambiance is soothing; the service is good. We felt right at home and enjoyed our evening.
We have been in Bluffton for 5 years now and this hidden spot is just fabulous. Outstanding service and food. We highly recommend it
Best food in Bluffton...and it's not even close!
Sunday Brunch, Wednesday Wine 50% off, Thursday Burger Night--Savory does it right.
Such a jewel in the crown Of HHI restaurants!! Don’t miss this one. Early Bird menu is a steal at three courses for $22! Chef Pascal does a wonderful job. Staff is attentive but not hovering. Haven’t tried it yet but will be heading to build your own burger some Thursday night. Heard they have a great Bastille Day celebration planned for July. What a treat for us to have a former Four Seasons Exec Chef in our backyard!!
Service very, very slow and only 2 tables with patrons when we were there. Extremely over priced. $ 9.00 for a mimosa and it was bland. Green frittata had absolutely no flavor. Wouldn't think of going back.
Delicious food! Amanda was a gracious server. Highly recommended!
We think Savory is one of the best values in dining in the HHI area. Hope they succeed...
Mother’s Day winner. When you drive up and park, the restaurant seems ok. When you go in, your pleasantly surprised. When you get service, you are impressed. When you eat, your really happy you came. One of the best Mother’s Days ever!
We reserved a table but then decided to eat at the bar. Food was great and we really enjoyed the evening.
I have been to Savory at least 20 times in the first year under Chef Pasquale... His weekly taster menu keeps exceeding my expectations... Savory has become one of my regular places; oh, I eat out 4-5 times a week, so I am putting him with the best of Hilton Head Island...
Our third time there since the new owners took over and it is excellent as always. I'll gratin potatoes or probably the best I've ever had. Everyone in our party of three really liked their meal, and service was prompt but not obtrusive. Go.
If you are into French and other European fare, then Savory Cafe is sure to please! I thoroughly enjoyed my "Sunset Special" 3 course meal: a delicious mushroom/cilantro soup, Salmon en Croute, and Grande Marnier souffle w/ chocolate sauce. My husband also enjoyed his She Crab Soup, Moules and Frites, and Grande Marnier souffle w/ Vanilla Sauce. The chef is from France, a rarity for this region. We each had a 3 course meal w/a bottle of wine for around $100 total.
Food and service were excellent. Our group of 7 had a small private dining room and we were not bothered by noise from other diners, so it was a perfect atmosphere. I will say the prices, especially on apps, salads, and desserts are very pricey. Our group would have ordered some of these items if those items were more reasonably priced. $11 for a piece of cake????
First time visiting Savory Café was perfect. Will not be my last time.
Just a lovely brunch. The croissants were flaky and delicious. The onion soup was spot on. The quiche was light and tasty. Just a lovely brunch. Great service and ambiance
Nice place, nothing special to comment on good or bad. Let's say average.
Menu was not great.i had beef Wellington and it was ok and presentation was poor. Very expensive!
