I live in San Antonio and had never been to Savor. Boy am I glad I did go. The food was outstanding and the prices were reasonable. I will definitely go back.

The food was outstanding! Every coarse was delicious and plated with a beautiful presentation. The service was good. Our waiter was very nice and made good suggestions, but needed a little polishing on skills. But he did a very good job for a student!!

What a wonderful experience! Interesting tasty food. Friendly service that was attentive but not obsequious. Watching the kitchen with it’s culinary students was fascinating. We will be back!

Savor is as good as the former CIA Nao restaurant. I do like the old facility much better than the new one.

The food was very good and the servers/students had great insight on each dish as well as the wine pairings. They were even able to explain distinct flavors that we were experiencing but were unable to pinpoint. Overall, the price point was surprisingly affordable for the elegant dishes prepared and the portion sizes were perfect! We will definitely be returning in the future.

4 course playing with paired wines. Staelrted with Zucchini Soup, Lobster and Scallop Risotto, Veal Osso Bucco and Olive Oil Cake to finish. Beautiful plating, delicious preparation, you can tell these students are putting their heart and soul into learning their craft.

A fantastic experience! Soon to be graduate chefs cook delicious meals for you. There were a few dishes that were over or under seasoned. However, the chefs are looking for feedback so we were happy to provide it to them. The chefs are also working in the front of the house so they are learning as they go. It is important to remember they are learning and looking for feedback. Things will go wrong but the chefs will learn from that. My advice is to have an open mind and know that you are helping them become the best chefs/restaurateurs that they can be. The price for the meal and the wine pairing is SO reasonable! The atmosphere is very cool too - you can see right into their kitchen and watch them cook. They are under the guidance of their instructor and she gives them immediate feedback, which was great to see! Such an exciting dinner and a fun experience! Highly recommend the experience, the food and the wine!!

It was a good experience to visit the restaurant. Joel, our server was excellent. Food was average for the price. Probably will not go again with the current menu.

This restaurant is superb. These are all students in their last semester of culinary school at the CIA. My fiancé attended Le Cordon Bleu Perú and was really excited about this experience. It totally surpassed our expectations.

First off, we were contacted two hours prior to our reservation to confirm our attendance. Upon arrival, they asked us for any dietary restrictions. I am allergic to many things and the server took all my needs to heart. She talked to the chef and they let me know what they could customize so I could eat. I was so happy! This is my first outing in months and I was taken back by their courteous team.

So this is how it works: there are two options. Option 1 is a 3 course meal for $39. Option 2 is a 4 course meal for $45. They are decent size portions so you can enjoy everything. They offer an appetizer in course 1, an entree in option 2 and 3, and dessert in option 4. You can mix and match appropriately. Your server will give you more details.

The food is beautiful and designed for you to enjoy. Everything exploded in my mouth literally. The chef’s creations were bold and strong.

We will definitely be back! Bravo students!

We liked the idea of supporting students because we know that they are advanced and they are highly motivated to do a good job. This, we believe, more than made up for some lack of experience. We liked very much the graciousness of the people (students) and were quite comfortable with the low noise level. Some minor mistakes were made in the service. But my one objection is that it's a bit pricey for what one gets, and we REALLY object to an automatic 20% service charge. I would not have wanted to tip that much. So it's really a hidden charge. Please abandon that practice.

The food was excellent and different than any other dining experience in San Antonio. The service was exceptional and servers were very nice and knowledgable. Would definitely come back, and recommend it to my friends.

Impeccable service. Fantastic food, the cod was sublime. Chocolate fessert was gooey, flavored with fresh cherries, topped with a bittersweet Choc sauce. Recommended!

We dined on a weeknight with a larger group and two young children. With such a group things can be unpredictable, and of the needs that came up the management staff could not have been better. Our server was fantastic; but, in addition, the management (the woman introduced herself as Ms Flecher) staff was at our table several times to make sure our various needs were being met. We were impressed with the high level of professionalism when dealing with menu requests, dietary restrictions, a fussy baby etc. The food was delicious but truly the hospitality and warm experience of dining at Savor would make us return and recommend to friends.

Delicious food with an eclectic menu and nice wine pairings. Would have been nice if bread (they have awesome focaccia) was served with the soup and to mop up pasta sauce. Very accommodating for gluten-free diners and solicitous service. Interesting seasoning and sauces!

This restaurant is unique in that the more senior students from the Culinary Institute of America are the chefs and waiters. Their instructors supervise their work. It was an enjoyable experience. The food and service was excellent

Had planned the dinner event for several months. Thought the lighting was extremely well executed and the food was excellent. The service Ames’s good and helpful but not stellar due to the wait staff being chefs in training.
The major negative issue for us was that the restaurant had lost a/c and it was miserably hot. This factor all but ruined the entire experience. Management should have closed the restaurant and not jeopardized what could have been a fulfilling experience.
The manager never once visited the table to console. This was really disappointing. The food was delicious and the price point low for the quality of the fare.
I would suggest Savor to all but our experience was miserable due to the loss of A/C.
Again Management should have closed the business this day.

This was our wedding dinner we got married earlier that day and everything was beautiful and so personal. My wife and I are both chefs and we couldn't have expected a better meal. The server/ graduate was Nate, he was so kind and knowledgeable about every aspect of the service. We'll definitely be back if we're ever in San Antonio again it was an amazing experience. We were so impressed with everything from the atmosphere to the open kitchen concept, it was marvelous and we enjoyed every sip and bite. Thank you CIA for this wonderful learning experience not just for the students but for us also. We will always recommend this on the bucket list for things to do in Texas/ San Antonio, we are so impressed, what a memorable wedding day😍.

The food and service were sublime, dining at Savor was truly a wonderful experience. We discovered some new, tasty flavors and were able to try dishes I had long been curious to sample such as the steak tartare with quail egg. The hanger steak was amazing!

The only downside was the family with the two young children- they were loud and climbed all over the seats. We were a bit surprised this was allowed to continue as we noticed one of the diners was also one of the instructors (they were his kids). This was not a restaurant for young children.

our server Christine (sp.?) was great, but the bartender spent a good 15 minutes chatting with a bar patron instead of making my cocktail. the food as usual was beautifully presented and delicious.

The environment seems nice...but the AC was not working so it was very warm...
Our sever took a bit longer than expected to take our orders, she did come to say she will be right with us but still took another 10min for her to come back.
Best fish was the scallops. Dessert was not too good...chocolate soufflé, I have has way better.
Fish, cod, was good, maybe a bit more seasoning...
This was the first time we went there, tip was included 20%, was not expecting that. I would have rather be able to choose the amount, which is never less than 15%, but now I know it is.
Not sure if we would go back...

The food and service was executed to perfection. I am impressed with the level of quality that these students were able to deliver. The only item I would suggest modifying would be the wine pairing aspect of the 3 or 4 course dinner with paired wines. The course selections vary wildly and do not always pair with the preselected wines. My wife did mostly seafood selections and I did beef tartare and osso bucco and we were served the same 4 wines.

We went there for the food, which was generally good. The server answered all of the questions he could answer and he asked the chef for the answer when he did not know it. It was an excellent experience.

There were only a few issues with the food that counted against a perfect rating, but they can be overlooked because the overall experience was so exceptional! It's obvious that everyone has a vested interest in the success of the restaurant and the satisfaction of their clientele, which makes for an outstanding experience. We will DEFINITELY come back and recommend to everyone!

What a gem in the Pearl area of San Antonio! Here on a business trip and made a reservation on a whim. Dining as a party of one is normally not something I relish. This was a superb dining experience. The students are attentive to your needs and Albertina, the Bar Manager, was enthusiastically sharing her creations of Ginger Beer and an incredible Lavender Syrup in a lemonade that was the best I have ever tasted. All of the team think out of the box to give diners a remarkable experience. Would definitely bring your foodie friends here for the Fixed Price dinner menu. The team will willingly accommodate Gluten or Vegan preferences. Definitely will return when I am in San Antonio!

The food and service were very good overall. Overly spicy sauce detracted from the enjoyment of very well prepared fish. Our main waiter was excellent but a drink waiter spilled a lot of the martini one of our party ordered and he did not seem to notice or offer to take it back. Our friend decided not to make a big deal of it.

The students running Savor are smart, attentive, and talented. The 4 course meal was a tremendous value and very, very tasty.
