We were disappointed. We celebrated a birthday but the restaurant was skimpy with the dessert. Shame on them. Won’t be back.
Wonderful service. Creative and wonderful food.
It is a unique experience and I always make a point to going whenever I am on the Main Line.
Sorry. This place is average at best. The place is very nice inside and the service was good, but the food was average, uninspired, over-priced and down right average. The fried artichokes were bland and lacked any taste. The Veal Milanese was nothing more than a pounded veal chop, breaded and fried. And the desserts again were average and uninspired. Sorry Savona, you are over-priced, average and lack any imagination. $540 for 4 people, what a joke.
Went to brunch for the first time here, I got the Burr burger - it was FANTASTIC. The live Jazz band was so fun and upbeat. I really could not say enough nice things about Cara who took care of me. The fresh squeezed orange juice was made right in front of me!!! Will be back again next Sunday, for sure! No one in the area is doing anything like this
Amazing food, good prices and value....an exceptional dining experience for my mother in laws 80th!
We were three people and each of us was delighted. The food was great and the service was excellent. We shared a tomato salad which was beautifully presented. Then one had the tortellini, and two shared the branzino and the bolognese. All quite yummy! We had a variety of gelato for dessert. Each one was delicious! Can't wait to go back!
Great environment. Very relaxing. We're definitely going back.
The best Caesar Salad and pizza I’ve every had.
My friends and I are always looking for a good brunch spot - when I saw that Savona was starting brunch we jumped at the chance to go. Food was excellent! Definitely one of the better spots around Conshohocken area for brunch. Will definitely be back!
Paige, our waitress, lied repeatedly to my face. I specifically selected this restaurant for our eleventh anniversary dinner for the Dover Sole which is not a standard menu item but a “nightly special”. The waitress identifies the specials and does not mention Dover Sole. I ask why Dover Sole wasn’t identified as an option and her response was that it is a dish that you should reserve in advance because they often run out. Our reservation was 6pm? As we sit in the upstairs dining “cave” completely by ourselves, I can only hear the open kitchen and the repeated screams of “Fire a Dover Sole” as I eat my consolation Branzino, which was still delicious. But it gets worse, a table of 10 enters the cave and a different waiter excitedly describes in detail the nightly special of Dover Sole. I pull Paige aside and ask why we were not offered the Dover Sole, her response was that she was told there were no more left (@ 6pm?) and perhaps that table ordered it in advance but that she would gladly follow up with the kitchen to find out why there was confusion. She returns with her manager’s business card with a quick handwritten note: Free Appetizer, next time. Finally she admits that she omitted to mention the nightly special by mistake. No, really? I understand innocent mistakes. I do NOT understand customer service practices that condone repeatedly making the diner feel stupid and unimportant during the course of a $200+ dinner. To top it off, the restaurant reported our Open Table reservation as a No Show mark against my account BEFORE I could even write a review. I think that last action speaks volumes to the Savona culture of self preservation at the expense of the paying customer.
Great service. Food was awesome. Like the pizza
Service ,ambiance, food all good. Great place close to home( Villanova). Always enjoymy visit.
While the meal was excellent. The service was very poor. I’m sorry to say but it was not what I’m accustomed to when I come to a Savona. Every course was served incorrectly and not on a timely, that is at the same time, fashion. Again, meal was excellent but service very poor. I will reluctantly give you another chance.
Awesome ambiance and complete variety based on your occasion. The food and adult beverages are delicious, and always changing. Service is always very attentive. The duck breast over mushroom risotto was delicious with the right balance of flavors. Love this place and highly recommend. One note of caution if going to a 5:30-6:30 reservation during the work week traffic is jammed so take extra time to get there. However, it is worth it!
Stellar. Very beautiful and comfortable restaurant. Bar is excellent. Food and service both are the very best. Highly recommended.
Waiter needed more experience/training as he had the personality of a wet sock. Sorry
We got a last minute reservation and could not have been happier with the outcome. The wine list is incredible. Have not seen many better in PA. Food was expertly prepared and presented. Service was very good! We will definitely be back!
We live far away now, but whenever we visit Philly we always make time to get to eat at Savona once again. Superb food with excellent service every time we dine. Wonderful wine list including very nice vintages by the glass. Great bar concepts too! Gets noisy by 7:30 - we like to eat early but that is my only criticism.
Fabulous meal!! Wait staff were knowledgeable and fun!! Look forward to returning very soon.
We make sure we eat here at least 1x per visit. Best pasta ever! Meatballs literally melt in your mouth. Wait staff is well informed and friendly.
First visit as newcomers to the area; excellent in every way! Thank you, Savona, for a wonderful experience!
Embarassed to say how long I've wanted to try Savona. We should have come sooner, of course! Our meal was quite good. The corn chowder was tasty and the fried artichokes very good. The pizza was very good. The daily catch fish was prepared well (though we didn't prefer the broccoli rabe with it) and the pasta with shrimp fra diavolo was terrific. We had friendly attentive service. Enjoyed a nice wine. I found the wine list offered a great range. Will definitely return!
The layout, ambience, and decor are great. The servers were great, however they seemed to be understaffed due to a party. Didn't get the bottle of wine until halfway through the meal. Food was average and not nearly worth the price tag.
Drinks, food and service was very inconsistent. My husband’s 1st drink was not the vodka he ordered, then was brought a different drink in a tall glass, his 2nd drink was 1/2 the size. Wrong apps brought out. Octopus app had some kind of disgusting smelling ham pieces in it. Over $200 bill (2 people)for mediocre food, small portions
Really attractive interior, friendly professional staff. Good bar with a wide selection of good whiskies and liquors too. The food was excellent, fresh and tasty. This is a fine dining experience in a local venue to be recommended.
Very accommodating for my gluten free allergy. Best Bronzino!
Food was delicious, service was great but noise level was too high. Could not hear the other two people at my table .
Biggest and best wine selection around as well as great food and service!
Loved the ambiance and the staff was friendly. My only real complaint was that my entree (Fettuccine Fra Diavolo) was not at all spicy. Otherwise, we enjoyed our visit.
Generally excellent. Food was delicious. Staff needs a bit of training. Kept mixing up order (who got what) . The restaurant was a bit noisy and we had trouble hearing our server - she needed to lean in a bit; it was a bit awkward
Chef tasting menu with wine pairing was delicious. Staff was excellent. Sommelier was great.
Great experience and meal
Service was amazing, wine was great, food was great. Tables were a little close together and they are a bit awkwardly long - meaning that when you sit at a 2-top you are strangely far from your date. You won't find anything typical on the appetizer menu, but it's all super tasty. Plan to spend $100-$150/person
Food was good. We felt rushed by our server. Alcohol was expensive.
A consistently stellar restaurant!!!!
Need I say more.
This restaurant was not what was expected. My husband were going out for our anniversary and from the outside the restaurant seemed to have a lot of light and old charm. When we arrived, there were two gentleman getting into a verbal altercation. No one apologized for the fight. My steak was prepared correctly, but had no flavor. Where our table was located there was no view and was quite awkwardly close to other guests.
It was our anniversary and it was a lovely dinner with great service. Can’t wait to return.
A wonderful restaurant fit for the foodie! Wih I could eat there everyday
