Beautiful restaurant and the service was great.
However, the food was bland. The salmon tartare was good but the micro greens made it bitter. The burrata was gummy and overly firm. The scallops were good but the Bronzino was dry and just sat in what looked like a can of tomatoes.
I was really looking forward to this meal but was disappointed.
Wonderful experience. Food was delicious. Wine was amazing. Service was top notch! Everything made for a wonderful date night out.
We enjoyed a dinner for 6 in a private room. The room was perfect -- lovely ambiance -- and our server, Seth, was OUTSTANDING!
Last night was my first time there, fantastic experience. Ate outside in the tent and even tho it was a cold night the heaters made it very comfortable to eat in there. The food and service was outstanding!
Excellent sole with a butter/vegetable sauce.
Honestly this may be the best restaurant in the suburbs. Service. Food. Ambiance is all top notch.
Wonderful Service. Would like them to expand the menu more.
Savona is simply one of the best restaurants around. The service was wonderful- courteous and professional. The food is always well prepared. My daughter always gets the Dover Sole- she thinks Savona prepares it better than any other restaurant where she has ordered it. Drinks are excellent. The outside tent is nicely done and tables spaced apart.
We are always treated well- staff never shows any pretension or attitude, which is not true of some other high end restaurants in Philly or the Main Line.
This is our neighborhood spot as it’s 3 min down the road. We went to celebrate my dads birthday as he was visiting from Hungary for the first time since covid. They wrote Happy birthday in Hungarian on the plate which caught us by surprise. What a nice touch that made a great dinner exceptional.
The difference between good and greet is in the details, and once again Savona delivered. And the diver some is fantastic as always.
This was a birthday celebration. Appetizers were very good as was the bass and sole. I had the veal flank and it was dry and tough. The salad that came with it was inedible. It had too much vinegar and the croutons tasted like week old store bought croutons. I let the server know how disappointed I was with my meal and to please let the chef know. She never came back with any response and barely apologized. Savona used to be my favorite restaurant and after having a somewhat disappointing meal there in October it is off my list.
getting together with old friends
The food was very disappointing. I had the rigotoni bolanese and it had no flavor at all. My two friends ordered the pumpkin ravioli and they said it was very dry and not good at all. The highlight of the meal was the caesar salad. I will not be returning!
Fantastic creative food, well prepared and presented. Service was wonderful friendly and professional. Please keep up the tent. We felt very comfortable in there health-wise.
Excellent food, service, as usual.we ate outside and it was a bit chilly however.
I've passed the place for at least 70 years, but just this Saturday did I ever stop. I'm not going to wait so long in the future.
Service and ambiance were wonderful.. The food presentation was good but quality of food for the price point was mediocre at best.
Great! Will be back
The food is always good, as is the service. Wait staff know the wines. Not cheap, but ALWAYS very enjoyable.
Can’t wait to go back! Absolutely next level delicious. Reminds me of being back in Italy. Also pasta and pizza for example flavorful, filling, but not heavy/doest’t weigh you down! Exactly like dishes in Italy. So indulge! Highly recommended. Service was exceptional. They really took care of us.
Everything went well food service, service, wait time, ambiance etc.
Not inexpensive but worth it !
Excellent service, culinary art, presentation and wine list
This was my second time here and the food, once again, was top notch! I love this place, the food and the atmosphere. The staffs attire, as well as the service is just superior. My only complaint is- why is the bread served ice cold! It was very weird when we received it and it felt like it was just brought from the fridge. Maybe serve room temperature or heated! Just because that made us feel like we were just given something that may or may not have been served properly.
But again, everything was excellent! Still 5 star!
My husband and I recently ate at Savona. It was our first time eating there. We had a lovely meal seated at the bar. We tried the fried artichoke hearts. It's a dish we particularly like and can't seem to get right at home. The artichoke hearts at Savona were crispy and delicious, served with a tangy sauce. It was a great starter. I had a pasta dish with short rib and mushrooms. The pasta was cooked to perfection, the sauce was wonderfully savory and the portion was generous. My husband had scallops. All in all it was a lovely evening and we'll definately come back to Savona.
We sat in the outside area. It is beautiful. The tables are well spaced, and the chairs are super comfortable. The lighting is perfect and elegant. Our waiter, Jose, is also a trained sommelier. He was delightful. The food was delicious. Savona does the outdoor dining experience better than anyone else I’ve seen.
Usually delicious, savona is a favorite of mine. Last night though, every item we ordered was either not good at all or just okay. Even items we normally get. I always get the fantastic calamari but last night it was over breaded and over fried. Servers as always were great though, and the cocktails were delicious.
Amazing , yummy , fun
Anniversary dinner. Service and food was excellent. Highly recommend the rack of lamb and the grilled octopus.
Savona has always been one of our favorite places but because we had a later dinner last night they were out of our favorite dish so I tried the Magherita pizza. It was very good but I could only eat half. I asked to take the the rest home and was given a large pizza box. When I got home I saw that there were only 2 pieces in the box. I guess someone in the kitchen was hungry!
Amazing staff .. from Chrissy the hostess.. and our server Lisa!
The braised short rib pasta dish was to die for! All the food was delicious but that dish stood out.
Had pizza and Octopus salad. Good pizza good salad Service fantastic. Wine glass Pinot noir. Not great
Excellent service! Everyone’s meal was wonderful. Only criticism was Concord grape sorbet. We all tasted it (6guests) and no one was a fan Tasted like grape kool-aid other than that everything else was delicious!
Excellent outdoor space. Food was mediocre.
Great outside dining. Welcomed nicely. Seated right away and server very accommodating. Food was delicious.
Have not been to Savona in a quite a few years. Everything we tried was great. Nice menu with plenty of options. Service was perfect.
We had a wonderful meal made even greater thanks to our waiter Mickel. From the beginning he was super and very helpful. Even took the time to show us other rooms we could bring a group to. Was our first visit and certainly will not be our last. If your a foodie, this is the place for you!
Always delicious food and stellar service
The food and service were excellent! I would highly recommend this restaurant!
