Excellent food and fantastic service!!
Very disappointed. My husbands’ veal was so over cooked I couldn’t believe they would even serve something like that. Service was good but there are so many other fantastic restaurants to frequent. We had not been there in a long while,we remember it being such a special restaurant at one time but no more we won’t be going back.
Went on a Sunday night with a good friend and we had excellent food. Sadly, they were out of many favorites because it was the end of a busy weekend. But, the great service and ambience of the restaurant made up for that! Go earlier in the week rather than later!
Excellent on all counts. The service was attentive, the presentation was very good and the food was delicious. The bartender was in top form too. The Negroni I had was wonderful.
Everything was and is outstanding. Food, service, ambience always consistently excellent, especially with Chef Andrew
Nice ambiance. We ate upstairs and it was nice and fairly quiet. Food and service very good. Certainly plan to return.
Phenomenal dinner experience! This was a date night and it could not have gone better. Food, service, ambiance...Perfect!
Unfortunately my experience wasnt great. I was taking a client out and had to wait over 30 minutes for drinks to arrive and when they did , they were the wrong drinks. Food was great. However, I got cursed out by a cook when they almost walked into my car while leaving.
Lunch menu is terrific
Really loved Savona. Food was spot on, chef and kitchen staff did a wonderful job, and floor staff were all very pleasant and attentive. Would highly recommend.
Our party of 5 was seated outside at a very private table. The road noise was minimal, and it was a very comfortable ambiance. The service was impeccable (Sebastien), the food was tremendous and prepared to everyone's satisfaction. After reading through the extensive wine selection, Melissa (Master Sommelier) was quick to point us in the right direction. A wonderful night of celebration for my wife's birthday. Will return soon!!!
We arrived and where told we could not be seated outside as we requested in our reservation because of a problem with a table. We where then shown to a hightop table in the bar area in a very busy pass through spot. After one of our party told the host that the table was unacceptable we where told there where no tablea available in the dining room, though we could see several open. Finally after going back and forth we where given a table in the dining room. The rest of the evening was very enjoyable.
We really enjoy coming to Savona. The food, ambiance, and service are all enjoyable. Olivia is our waitress often as we request her. All the service people from Popie, to Kim, and all the others are very professional and helpful. It is one of our favorite restaurants.
Excellent food and service
Too noisy to have a conversation though
This place has great service and food, and at a convenient location. The outdoor seating area is nice and fully covered.
Appetizers were good, desert was delicious, cocktails were delicious, but main entrees (halibut and $55 special Cod?) were overcooked and boring. May be back for drinks and apps, might try the pizza.
Very welcoming when we arrived and very attentive staff. They knew about our special occasion and found ways to make it more special. Great for a special night out.
A very nice evening overall, and really a lovely time.
Service was attentive and timely (though I wish that servers would stop referring to patrons with the royal "we" as in how are "we" tonight. Ugh.)
Food was very good. Halibut was excellent (see below). Fried artichokes were delicious but a little too oily. Bread was pretty good with excellent olive oil. Outstanding cocktail.
A couple things to note:
I had the dover sole for $55, at the server's suggestion. It was ok but not worth the price. I tend to like my fish crispy/seared but sole should be buttery and melt in your mouth, and this wasn't. It wasn't bad--just not melt in your mouth $55 sole. My companion's halibut was much better.
My friend mentioned that it was my birthday and no fuss was made. I don't expect bugles and balloons, but I was a little disappointed that there was no acknowledgement at all other than "oh, happy birthday."
The appetizer, Fritto Miso, was excellent. The succotash with the scallops was strange, with asparagus in it. The veal was tough, flavorless.
Some problems with service as young waiter was slow with menus and mixed up orders. However, he was pleasant and well-intentioned. Excellent fresh pasta and friendly atmosphere.
Overall satisfactory and we will try another time.
Excellent cuisine. Awesome service (Karen & Natalie!) Beautiful spot. Thanks.
So elegant. Lovely atmosphere and food is delicious. Great, attentive service. Love coming here for a special occasion or just a nice dinner.
The only problem was the chairs had almost no back support —they were very deep (I’m tall and long-legged) and uncomfortable. A real shame because it’s a great restaurant otherwise!
This is the 3rd time I've been to Savona in the last 6 months and it has just gone downhill. My cornish hen was dry, the veal ricotta meatballs were mushy and not fully done and the water from the tea kettle was brown. Such a disappointment especially for the price.
Great dinner with great friends
Our family of four enjoyed a wonderful dinner with amazing service! Oysters and cheese trolley were great starters. Eggplant Parmesan, tuna and short ribs were excellent main dishes. Desserts ranged from gelato to chocolate cake to fruity type options. The cocktail menu is small, but fun with some purées. Definitely try this restaurant!
Sommelier was excellent. Other service was very good. Food was very good to excellent
One of our favorites: perfect , attentive service, amazing meals, we love any fish they offer, and delicious drinks.
Fantastic food and ambience. It was a great setting for a family birthday which is what we went for. Great mix of people and the service was great! We will definitely be going again.
The quality of food was not fantastic for the price. I just moved into the area and there are so many great restaurants nearby that we had very high expectations based on other reviews.
The wine list was amazing and the ambiance was great. Our server was attentive and personable. We are outside and it was comfortable.
The vibe inside was good and vibrant. The bar scene seemed to be lively and fun. I would definitely try the restaurant again, and perhaps try the inside next time.
Lunch with colleagues. Food was good. Waitress didn't give us separate checks as requested.
Enjoyed sitting upstairs. Salmon entree was fabulous.
It was a superb with a great variety on the menu. Enjoyed meeting the manager.
Fabulous experience. Staff ,food and ambiance Excellent!! It was my husbands birthday ( unbeknownst to Savona and we got a beautiful window table which made extra special. We have traveled the world and this hoes down as one of the best. Thank you Savona for making my husband’s Special day even better!
Service was excellent
Food was as usual too class
Haven’t been in a few years. Glad to know the food is still fabulous & service is on point. Will be back again!
The food is delicious. Ask for Brian as a server he was fantastic.
We had a lovely meal and the service was quite nice. Only issue its that ew were hoping to enjoy the full menu, and found out that there was only a limited prix fixe option available to celebrate Bastille Day. We booked through OpenTable, and the limited menu availability was not communicated on that site.
An unexpected surprise was smoked brisket made on the premises with a fabulous bbq sauce on the side!
