Our experience was a mid afternoon lunch celebration. It was a very nice experience.
The food was nothing less outstanding. Exactly as ordered, perfect temperature and the courses were very timely - not rushed and we were not waiting either.
I would highly recommend this restaurant and very much look forward to returning in the evening for drinks and dinner sooner than later.
Very nice restaurant - a bit pricey. Service was very good.
Savona used to be our “go to” but has become a disaster. It took an hour and a half to get our appetizers, had to flag down our server for refills, could hear the kitchen staff yelling at each other throughout the night and that’s just the beginning. It was definitely the worst Mother’s Day location. I’m embarrassed I selected it.
Service was attentive and professional.
Food was presented well and tasted delicious.
We have visited Savona 2 - 3 times of late after having been regulars a few years back and recently ate there for Mother's day. Food was great and I have always liked the drinks and wine selection. I think they have an ambiance second to none on the main line. The bartender we knew from our earlier days is back and he is a real plus. The kitchen is top rate; my read is that "execution" - marrying kitchen to service to table - has sometimes been the weak point and it continues to improve.
Didn’t feel welcome in the restaurant on Mother’s Day. Food was only okay. I ordered seared scallops which were way too salty. Brownie is too dry. My daughter ordered short rib which wasn’t what we expected. Overall we won’t return to this restaurant again.
Excellent service, valet parking, very good food. The staff seemed incredibly well trained. The time between courses could have been a little shorter but it was a fine dining experience.
The food was excellent! Unfortunately we had a long wait for our food to come after we placed our order. The food was worth the wait.
We regularly come here but lately disappointed. Menu selection has become limited. Our dinners were uninspiring. The cornish hen was tiny and oversalted. The pasta entree was bland. Halibut was fair. Chef needs to revisit menu choices. We asked about old standards such as veal milanese and were told it became too expensive to purchase, yet the veal chop is priced at $55. Doesn’t make sense.
Everything was exceptional from our valet to Sebastian to all servers..
Very memorable meal!
We will return next Saturday after Villanova graduation!
Perfect in every detail from deliciously refined cuisine to the best service and chic ambiance.
Savona was recommended to the friend with whom I was dining as neither of us know the area at all, so we had no idea what to expect. It was so good that we have already agreed to eat there when she's back in June! We both had the Dover Sole, which they say is something they are known for, and it was phenomenal. The sommelier was very knowledgeable and helpful - recommending a fabulous Chablis to go with the fish. He also seemed truly interested in our opinion of the wine and the food - he was very attentive, making sure that the wine stayed chilled but not so cold as to lose the flavor. I've been daydreaming about this meal for the two days since we ate there!
Food was terrific and probably the best old fashioned I’ve had.
We enjoyed a lovely evening at Savona with a couple friends visiting us from out of town on Saturday evening. The noise level was quite loud during our initial time there (our reservation was at 8pm) but seemed to quiet down as the evening progressed. Service was prompt and attentive. The space is very nice. The food was delicious and thoroughly enjoyed by all 4 of us. All in all, we had a great time at Savona. It was just what we were looking for!
An outstanding dinner for a special occasion. Despite a busy Saturday night, the staff was continuously attentive and most professional. Had a shrimp cocktail that redefined the genre. Halibut was perfectly prepared and delicious. And the Dover sole was - well, the Savona Dover sole; simply superb. None better anywhere. Also got great help from the sommelier pairing a nice French wine for our selections. We will be back soon.
Excellent. Had very nice business dinner. Staff was impeccable and food was excellent. Perfect evening.
Lovely dinner. Thank you.
Service was attentive, food and drink, outstanding! Wonderful experience!
Food continues to be great... meatballs are a must try. Great cocktails and superior wine list. Dover sole special was amazing.
We had a wonderful Easter dinner and birthday dinner. Food was amazing.
Our biggest complaint was the length of time it took to get a drink - 20 minutes is ridiculous. Our second drink came much faster.
I always enjoy Savona. The food is delicious and interestingly prepared. Service was excellent.
The staff at Savona went above and beyond to make our great grandfather’s 84th birthday a memorable experience. The food was outstanding, and I would highly recommend the ambiance for large crowds and special occasions. The chef made sure our dishes were perfect, and completed the afternoon with champagne and dessert. It was a wonderful day.
We have eaten at Savona twice before and were amazed at the food and service, it has a expansive wine list and the staff are the very attentive, professional, and absolutely unobtrusive.
This time we went for Brunch for my sons birthday, the food was exquisite and the service from
our arrival to our departure was highly professional.
Our shellfish tasted as if it had just been caught, the selection of "Benedict's" are amazing, I had a Steak and Eggs that was to die for. Do not miss this wonderful "Occasion Restaurant Experience" Delightful.
Food was excellent but we felt rushed. We were trying to enjoy conversation with our friends and food came very fast and waiter kept coming back. Drinks were overpriced also
Awesome food, fantastic service and an overall amazing night out!
The food was comforting, fresh, and also fun, our servers were very attentive and helpful, even making an iced coffee for me when there wasn't one on the menu! The live jazz trio was the icing on the cake. We will be back for brunch soon!
Outstanding....back in a month!!!! Thanks to Karena nd team for taking great care of us.
So disappointed in this restaurant! Pass this restaurant all the time - and it looks so beautiful. Heard it was good from friends who frequent other 'higher end' restaurants in the same area. So hired a sitter for date night and can say the bronzino was excellent - everything else was fair to poor. Octopus was raw - sent it back for more char - and it came back, but still was gross (you would think the watiress or gm would notice we sent it back and still did not eat entire portion and apologize or replace). There were cobwebs above our heads - you would think they would take more care of details like this in any restaurant - let alone one that charges for water (without asking you). You also have NO CHOICE but to use their valet car service. Their 'homemade' pasta was not warm and had very little flavor. The artichokes were fine - but felt like something more our of applebees than a fine restaurant. Spent $200 with few drinks and no dessert - most of all, just would never go back here, was not good!
We absolutely loved our dinner experience at Savona this evening!
We loved it here..food was delicious..great bottle of wine...great desserts...excellent service..friendly staff..highly reccomend!
My wife and I went here for the first time tonight. Cara was our server. Let's just say she received a 25% tip. :) Every employee was very nice and personable. They have a dedicated water person ensuring that you are never thirsty. Chef Andrew came to our table to discuss the gluten free options that appear safe for Celiac sufferers. He sat down next to my wife, giving a true sense of caring. I ordered the Fritto Misto which was the best I've had in a long time. I also ordered scallops as my main meal with creme brulee for dessert. My wife had Shrimp Cocktail, Halibut that she stated was the best fish she's ever had, and a banana split for dessert. The meal, without tip, was $130. No drinks. Would we go here again? Yes we definitely would. Came away with a smile on our faces while we tipped valet. :)
We celebrated our friend’s 60th birthday. A memorable evening. Savona never disappoints.
Great food and loved hearing live music during Sunday brunch.
Service was excellent, food good, good portion size, and overall great dining experience
Nice atmosphere. Service was very good. Food selection was limited especially Italian dishes however the food was well prepared, enjoyable.
Sabina serves a very delicious Sunday brunch. Live music as well
The restaurant is located in a beautiful house and the setup is nice too. Not sure if it’s the restaurant week that the kitchen has been super busy or not, the food was not as good as expected. A nice place to dine but not as good as the reviews suggested.
