The food was awful. The pizza looked and tasted like a child’s menu pizza. The portions were small and flavors lacking. I honestly wouldn’t have eaten this meal for free let alone at the prices I laid. There were very few wait staff. The restaurant was overly lit for dinner creating a poor ambiance.
We ate there twice and both times the staff was wonderful but it is WAY to cold. Turn the AC system down. Thanks
Great atmosphere, good ambience but lacking in fast service
I had the chicken breast, which was cooked perfectly and was delicious. My review is less than stellar because the restaurant was chilly ( physically) and is reminiscent of a cafeteria in decor. It’s too big and loud., as it is all hard surfaces and completely open to the lobby. It has huge windows facing the ads on the walls outside. It feels like you’re at the airport.
Great choice for pre-game meal, close to Staples Center and Microsoft Theater.
You had no choice but to take the buffet and it had very limited options it made for an expensive brunch with minimal options. Only regular fruit was banana. I just assumed normal brunch/breakfast when booking.
It took an hour to receive our food.
The waitress was fantastic despite having to wait so long. She deserves a 5 star for her hard work.

The pasta is made in-house and has a very distinctive taste. However, the management on duty and server were exceptionally professional and exhibited outstanding customer service.

A great new location - easy to get to, inside the Marriott at LA Live. Food was delicious. Quiet so it was easy to talk.
We had a birthday breakfast for my husband here, we were staying at Ritz Carlton, my omelet cheese was not melted had to send it back we ordered the French toast and it was barely warm. They did remove both items off the check. Server was good just issues with getting hot food. When they did bring back the French toast it was great!!
What initially lured me in, upon discovering this place, was the "cottages" they had set up on the restaurant's patio with respect to outdoor dining during this pandemic. Each party was designated their own "cottage." It was charming, inviting, and might I say, romantic, and most definitely private. The ongoing change in lights also made us feel as though we were in Times Square, NY. It was quite the vibe!
Add to that our excellent and most attentive server, Ryan and his knowledge of food & drink and love of travel, and I began to doubt the naysayers on Yelp.
Though the menu is limited, the few things we had ordered were all absolutely delicious! I had my friend try the burrata, which is my favorite cheese ever, but a first for him, and we agreed the combination of the creaminess of the Italian cow's milk with the salted crispness of the fluffy Coccoli bread, sent our tastebuds to Heaven. We both thought we would definitely come back here just for this appetizer alone!!
The cacio e pepe (cheese & black pepper pasta), 3-cheese pizza, and pan-roasted branzino (one of my favorite fish and not one you often find on menus) were all divine.
When you have excellent customer service, delicious food, and a beautiful ambiance to boot, you've got the trifecta of fine dining that is very hard to come by these days. Savoca check marks all those boxes and is worth coming back to again and again.
The restaurant was understaffed and the food was pretty lackluster. My omelet was overcooked, the potatoes were tasteless and if it wasn’t for our wonderful server, Debbie, the whole breakfast would have been a pretty bad. She was attentive, and very nice and did her best to make us happy- she’s a pro.
We visited for breakfast, we had a large group with different households and wanted to ensure we sat close by. Savoca was wonderful by putting us in our own area while following COVID protocols. Going to a restaurant after COVID is hard. Thank you for making it a wonderful experience. We all had the same server and he was absolutely wonderful. Everyone in my party enjoyed it. We will definitely be back.
We stayed at the JW Marriott and made reservations for 8pm. We were seated right when we arrived and were promptly attended to. Our server Chris was very helpful and provided recommendations which were delicious. The food was great but the service was even better, my date and I definitely enjoyed dining here and look forward to returning.
OMG, I was expecting fine dinning but received cheap cafeteria food and atmosphere. So disappointed. I don’t get to downtown very often and was hoping for a bit more of an experience. The food was bland, the wine was bitter, the only thing that was acceptable was the service. The waiter was courteous and responsive. Will never go back.
Amazing service and very good food
Great brunch menu and wonderful vegan options. Really enjoyed the pistachio gelato for dessert too. Their gelato and sorbet are all super creamy. A really beautiful space with fun design and lots of natural light. Jhoana was our server and she was super friendly, thoughtful and knowledgeable.
It was wonderful
This was our third visit in a month. Usually JW restaurants are a solid 6/7. Never great, overpriced but predictable and quality. Not this time. The server didn't greet us until after 2 parties seated after us were greeted. The greeting was her and a cleaning bottle wiping our table with a rag. A) covid requires that be done before we sit B) disposable cloths are required... so not drink order, just a second time saying she'll be right with us as she wiped our table. Meanwhile other sections are enjoying the benefits of much better servers. We walked up to the host stand to change tables and she held up a finger to answer a reservation call. We finally spoke to a person in check-in to share our experience. And left to find better.
