Saviano's Italian Kitchen
The best authentic Italian cuisine! Knowledgeable staff. Great ambiance for date night or family night.
authentic Italian food and delicious the services is pretty good too.
Very good Italian food from a family owned business.
We enjoyed a hearty meal with good wine and excellent service at Saviano’s!
First timer - service was great and despite the somewhat grungy exterior, the interior is well decorated and welcoming, even a bit dark. Service was on point and has no issues with the food. Pizza was okay, sauce was a bit sweet, the chicken parmesean was great and the ravioli bites as an appetizer were also good . The seafood combination meal was a bit lacking in flavor. The bread served before the meal was good, but oily. The service was decent enough, and had no qualms about it. Where I really feel like Saviano's lacked was pricing. It was hard to justify a $140 for four people. I'd rate everything as good, but the value for the money just was probably closer to the $100 range for 3 entrees + 2 apps split between the four of us.
Overall disappointing. The dining room is very dark, cavelike and dank. Part of the enjoyment of food is the presentation and visual appeal. It was so dark I could barely see the food. Included with the meals is a small house salad doused with vinaigrette and served in a metal bowl! I’m sure the chef does that to keep the salad cold and crispy (which it was) but it reminded me of the metal bowls In which I serve my golden retrieves’ dinner. The night’s special was six shrimp on a bed of sautéed spinach and mushrooms with a delicious light Alfredo sauce. It was quite good. My friend had lasagna which she said was good but nothing special. I hate to say, I will not return to Savianos, not because of the food or service which were better than average, but because the dining room doesn’t warrant a trip across town.
Very pleasant experience.
Hospitable and kind wait staff
I love Savianos---best Italian in the metroplex. At this visit they had changed the wine menu...now all of the wines appealing to me are by bottle only. Would be nice to offer more of those by the glass.
Food, service and value were very good. The only glitch occurred when the food arrived at our table of four my order wasn't there. The server checked and my meal was mistakenly given to another customer. They apologized for the mistake and brought my meal not too long after.
We were in a corner table which was very comfortable and the noise level was such that we could carry on our conversations at a normal speaking level. It was overall a very pleasant meal.
Their food is phenomenal. The atmosphere is great. I booked a party of 10 randomly and they were able to accommodate us with only an hours notice. Everyone who came with me had never been here before and they have not stopped raving about the food. We will all be back. Family owned and a good neighborhood spot that will always make you feel comfortable.
Saviano’s is the best Italian Food in DFW!
The owners and the staff were extremely friendly! The service was OUTSTANDING!
Food was delicious and staff was friendly.
The renovations are amazing!
Wonderful place for dinner; Saviano's exceeded our expectations. The restaurant is stylish, the food was great, and the server was so attentive. We will be going back to Saviano's, it is a great find!
This was a true great find for us. We love Italian and this family run restaurant reminded us of the ones we enjoyed in New Jersey. We just went with the basics on what will be our first visit, lasagna and eggplant parmigiano. Both came out hot, good and large portions. The best thing was the warm garlic knots. Excellent service too.
Kitchen was a little slow but it was crowded and they were probably backed up. Worth the wait. Excellent food!
This is my new favorite Italian restaurant. We were treated at the door Friday night by two smiling hostesses. Our table was ready when we arrived. They have new kids menus that the children in our group enjoyed. Our waitress was very attentive and kept us up to date on our food.
If you make a reservation they will not honor it. I made a reservation for 3 at 7:00. They had my reservation and just put us at the bottom of the list. Food and service is very good.
Went to check things it after the remodel. All was good except for the noise level. It was way to loud and we couldn't even hear each other talk. Was very disappointed.
This was our second trip to Saviono's since their remodel. We had reservations for 6:30 and I have to say we were seated immediately. Foodd was great as ever but service was very slow. We waited at 30 minutes for our food and then a long wait to get our check. And our water glasses were never filled.
Bottom line e Great Food but Bad Service.
We were concerned with reviewers post. We were pleased with our visit. Food-good, ambience-great and service - excellent. We will be back without hesitation.
During my 2 most recent visits, Jack knocked it out of the park both times with 2 specials. The first home run was a perfectly cooked veal tenderloin wrapped in prosciutto with a Marsala sauce, scalloped potatoes with melted cheese and spinach. The next home run was a piece of delicate salmon, lightly seasoned and cooked to perfection served with hand rolled penne-like pasta with a white wine, lemon and butter sauce. Molte bene Giacomo!
I have 2 more reservations planned for next week already.
We've known Jack and the family for many years now and know each dining experience will be outstanding. The food as always was delicious.
Jacob was our waiter and he rocked! Excellent service!
There were 8 people in our party. Food was wonderful, service was really good.
The newly renovated Saviano's Italian Kitchen was great - offering the same great Italian food and pizza in a nicely decorated space. On Friday night, there was a talented pianist playing great music. We enjoyed the food, the atmosphere and the great service.
Very relaxed atmosphere. Good Italian food. Service was very professional. Access to the restaurant was very easy off of the freeway. Overall, it was a good experience.
I ordered eggplant parmigiana, the eggplant was meat-like or simply breading only... very strange... there was no eggplant. This is my go-to dish when I eat Italian so I’m familiar with what it normally looks & tastes like. Tea was refilled as I was leaving but not during the meal. This was my first time visiting the restaurant and I was disappointed.
One of those neat places you hope to find in a town.
Food is excellent! Service is great! Before it was remodeled, we liked going there for a cozy quiet meal. The ambiance has changed since it as been remodeled. It is NOISY now. We had to actually raise our voices to hear each other. It’s updated and more trendy looking but I miss the charm and quite atmosphere.
I have been to Saviano's before, but not on a date. It is such a perfect date atmosphere. The food is amazing, and huge portions(we took more than half home!), the server and hostess were very friendly and competent, the chef even came out to speak to us directly and see if we liked it! We will be going back again!
Excellent food. One of the best Italian in town.
The waiter was in trained and screwed up our tab extremely bad
I love the place, but a bad server can ruin everything, yes I will go back
We are loving the updated decor and the fact that they kept the classic pictures of the family up! The food is still amazing, if not even better :-)
Waiter was kind of pushy in terms of trying to upscale EVERYTHING we ordered. He was miffed when I did not order wine. Was there for a friend's birthday. His comments were more than a little wrong in terms of trying to be cute.
Hard to read the new menus, probably due to dim lighting and because the menus are on a black background. I saw several tables pulling out their cell phones for a reading light.
The water tasted strange. With renovating the entire restaurant, one would think they could put in a water filtration system.
Loved the old place. The renovated restaurant looks great, the atmosphere has changed and in my opinion, not for the better. The new focus is on sell sell sell more more more rather than come in and enjoy our good food like it used to be.
Way too loud. They know about it and still haven’t fixed it.
I loved my dish ...It was great!!! The food is fresh ...
Saviano's has been a staple for great food for years. Recent remodeling all but ruined the cozy relaxed atmosphere to a more high end paneled walls and very noisy interior. No more booths. Chairs and tables that are too small for the room needed for the number of plates (bread, salad, dining and dessert plates if not cleared away promptly.)
The owners are aware of the detractions and promise to fix it. I won't be back until it's compete unless its for a quick lunch. So PLEASE hurry Saviano's!
First time I went was really good. Second time not at all. Waiter was very very nice but got order wrong but are it anyways and was sick all night from something. Was disappointing.
