Pros: the food was amazing, drinks were good, our servers were nice and helpful even though there were only like two for the whole restaurant, and the dj had an amazing playlist that consisted of old and new reggae, dancehall, and soca.
Cons: the space was limited we were a group of 5 and there wasn’t really much space to put anything on the table after the food came, they were understaffed, and the music was so loud our waitress wasn’t even able to hear us neither was the bartender when he came over with our drinks.
Overall I still had a really good experience, I would love to eat from there again through doordash or Uber eats. If i go in person I’d go with a smaller party like a party of two.
The food was delicious and priced right. Will go back
Thank you, hope to see you again
Customer service was horrible. Some food arrived cold.
I love everything about this spot. It took me back to the Caribbean. Very intimate, cozy feel. The staff was super sweet ,friendly and made great suggestions. Try the hibiscus Margarita. The tacos were heaven and the Snapper with cassava waa delight. I would definitely be back with my girls
The server Jade was sweet. The food Carvinal pasta (tasted like a container of Parmesan was poured onto a can of Chef boyardee) red snapper (tasted like it was sautéed in a jar of ketchup and put on a plate) the jerk wings (were flavorless, dry and tasted as if they were microwaved). We waited long for our food and never checked back to see if we need drinks replenished. Though Jade really nice they can’t expect her to be on her A game being the only server there.
The only nice thing I can say is my Margarita was good.
A little too loud but outstanding otherwise. Felt almost like a family cookout with top of the line Caribbean chefs and cooks. Can't wait to go back.
I went for Brunch on Sunday....
My girl friend and I really enjoyed. It has a cozy feel to it and music is a true Caribbean vibe.
The food...yummmm. I had stew pork with cassava, yummmmmm. She has Calypso Shrimp...loved it. But you must try the oxtail taco!!!!! Heaven .I will be back...drinks were great..staff friendly
It was just okay drinks was the best
Definitely will visit again.
I really enjoyed my visit here...the space is super cute and cozy. If you enjoy the caribbean culture ..you would love this spot. The drinks are amazing..my fave was the hibiscus. The oxtail tacos and red Snapper waa yummy... the dj waa a vibe...I will be back for sure. The staff waa fun!!
Food was soooo good! Drinks were great. The dining room looked small so we dined outside but in the summer time, lots of flies and mosquitoes flying around. Will definitely come back.
Thank you for visiting.... yes ...the quirks of outside dining,...those NY mosquitoes are annoying we are trying our best to smoke them out , but it's difficult especially when it rains hope you will visit again
If you are a fan of Caribbean vibe..this is a cute spot... the music the drinks the food.. they were very busy so I suggest a reservation...the food is yummy and the drinks delight. Staff was friendly and made great suggestions i.will definitely visit again
thank you, hope you visit again
What a fun place. Very cute. Has a homely feel....they were very busy...but the food was worth the wait... the hibiscus is the truth and the oxtail pizza was amazing. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be back...the Caribbean music was a nice vibes
Thank you, glad you liked. Hope to see you again,
Horrible service but they automatically add 18% tip to your bill. The food is very tasty but portions are small and not worth it. 18 dollars for two small oxtail tacos. Probably won’t be returning.
I am sorry you were unhappy with our pricings and portions Since covid there has been an inflation of food prices, especially OXTAIL Our appetizer taco sizes are medium, not mini... will love if you gave us a try again
The food was great! Would definitely go back.
Thank you, hope you would visit again
Food was really good and the drinks are great. Nice DJ too! Will be back!
Hands down they have the best oxtail and shrimp taco I ever tasted. Chicken pelau tasted like good home style food like granny use to make.
The food was outstanding and flavorful. Must try the jerk shrimp pizza. The drinks was good, great recommendation by the waitress. Great vibes throughout the night. Kudos to the staff for being attentive, professional and so friendly. Will be back for date night.
I could imagine it to be busy because a lot of people were off work fro the 4th of July On the Monday that I went. So I gave them a cushion of consideration. But poor drink mixing and food temperature at time of serving were not there at all. I wanted to go out and stay local but Should have traveled out a little further I guess
Met up with a friend here after seeing it on Tik Tok and had a great time. From the initial phone call to set up the reservation to setting it up on open table the staff was very respectful and polite and the process was easy. They seated us right away upon arrival and we did not have to wait so long for our drinks or our meal. I would definitely go again and I can’t forget to mention the music which was on point for a Caribbean girl like me. It’s definitely a gym in Brooklyn
The taco shells were from Target and they were dried out from being heated up too long. The oxtail taco didn’t not have anything of the dressings on it that were on the menu. It was minimal oxtail, corn and lettuce, nothing else. Additionally, it was $18 for 2 tacos, not 3 which is absolutely ridiculous for extremely empty tacos. The food took way too long to come out. The jerk chicken wings were more spice than jerk. The music was too loud for such a small indoor space and the waitresses took way too long. Myself and other customers had to call the waitress over to ask if anyone is going to take our food order. And then the audacity to add an automatic gratuity of 18% on terrible service for a table of 2. I will never be going back.
Food was great. Wait time was crazy on a busy night with a reservation. Overall I would return.
On June 20th I brought my family here for Father’s Day dinner. We arrived on time for our reservation at 7pm and was seated almost immediately. The seating was kind of tight for my table of 7. I sat in the inner corner of the table. My seat must of been under someone’s window because the air conditioner kept dripping on me. We adjusted our seats and I was fine. It took some time for us to be seen by a waiter. A table who was seated after us was seen before us. Once we were finally greeted we ordered EVERYTHING (drinks, appetizers, dinner) all at once since we had more than enough time to look over the menu. After being there for over 30 minutes we received water. By the 45 minute mark we received our drinks. I ordered the Zesser and wasn’t fond of it so I asked for a drink change. I then ordered the Dingolay Margarita. At 8:15 we received our appetizers. At 8:37 we received our dinner. The dinner did not come out hot. It was Luke warm. My mother ordered ribs. The waiter asked if she wanted pork or beef she replied pork and received beef instead. When it was time for the bill there was a child (probably the owners son) handing out the bill. He brought us the wrong bill. Once we did receive the right one they had not taken the drink I sent back off the bill. We then proceeded to the bar to fix the issue. After sitting there for so long we didn’t want to wait any more for someone to come back to us to fix that. We weren’t the only group that had a complaint about the service. The table next us had issues as well. Not sure if they didn’t expect that amount of people on that day but the wait times and cold food were unacceptable.
Shoutout to Jay snd the amazing staff! Food was spectacular and service was great.
Food, drinks and music made my birthday celebration one of the best!!
Thank you, we hope we see you again...
Definitely coming back everyone was super friendly!! Food was amazing!
The customer service was horrible
And we was waiting 1 1/2 almost 2 hour for food and never got it
So we had to leave still hungry
Hi, sorry about your experience, I remember this table because you left without taking your food . The wait time for the food was half an hour, because I checked the ticket, We were extremely busy that day and did our best to accommodate . We hope you would give us a try again so we can make it up to you...Thank you
Very nice and lively Caribbean restaurant with authentic food, drinks, and music.
Great food, and experience! Jay always makes sure her customers are taken care of
Drinks were great so was the food
