Wonderful experience. Great food and service. Highly recommend.
Very empty at 8pm on Saturday night which made ambience a little weird, but the weather was inclement that night.
Food was very good, especially the shrimp and grits. Service was fast and friendly.
Maria was amazing!!!! We had the best time. Her service was impeccable. The next time we come back to Cleveland we will be coming back!
Place is very unorganized. No one checked us in until a manager saw us wandering around trying to find a hostess. Waited a while for service, not a deal breaker, but ordered 2 beers and sat for 15 more minutes with no drinks while 1 server tried to keep up with the 5 or 6 tables she already had, not to mention the huge group of people now waiting to be seated. We gave up and went elsewhere.
Food was very good it was not very expensive and the server Maria was fantastic
Showed up on New Years Eve as I had made a reservation several weeks ago for the evening. When I arrived I noticed they were setting up for an event and the normal tables had all been removed. We were told that the restaurant was closed for a private event. I explained that I had made a reservation through OpenTable a few weeks ago and it did not say the restaurant was closed. The woman explained the restaurant would not be open and it was determined to be closed for over a month but we could purchase tickets to the event, explaining that it was OpenTable’s fault. I checked the restaurants website which did not mention anything of the private event. There was also no signage outside the restaurant indicating there was a private event. I’m guessing that there was just a lack of communication to OpenTable of the event. I also would guess that the restaurant is able to see there are reservations coming in for a night they would not be open, and so I feel that they should reach out to guests who booked to let them know they’d be closed. I would hope the restaurant would remediate this issue in the future as it really threw off our dinner plans for the evening being that it was New Years Eve and everywhere else was pretty packed.
Both Open Table and the restaurant failed me and my colleague. Even though the hostess could see my reservation ahe had no table, she said there was nothing she could do, basically it was Open Table's fault. I get that it was game night, but this restaurant did not have its game on! Hope restaurants and Open Table find a better way to communicate.
Went there before Browns game. We were 10 min late- they had given away our table despite telling the people in line ahead of us they had stopped taking reservations hours ago (they had said they reserved 1.5 hrs prior). Finally got table, the music was so loud our waiter couldn’t hear us and there was a limited menu. Restaurants should have to notate if their regular menu isn’t available on big events. Unfortunately we had cancelled at a steak house to go there.
Great chicken, good pork, only 1 block from hotel. Liked glass openness and high ceilingz. Wasn't crowded but no hostess, took while to get seated
Our food was excellent. My husband ordered the crawfish special and i had the shrimp.
The one down side is the bar service. We waited over 10 minutes for our drinks and they were the specialty drinks. It was not due to crowding as there were only 3 tables occupied while we were there
We were there for 30 minutes and never even got our drinks. The manager never gave an apology for the long wait. We ended up leaving and going to the winking lizard down the street. I asked the manager if we’d be able to make our 730 showing at the Playhouse on time; he lied and said oh yeah you’ll get your food quickly. I would never recommend this restaurant to anybody. It sucks.
Great happy hour choices
We usually frequent Sausalito on 9th pre Browns game so naturally we did on Thursday for the 1st preseason game. Food was excellent as always;however, the service was unusually and terribly slow. We waited 10 minutes to even be greeted at the table and the wait for drinks, for order and food arrival were longer than normal. If I was my first visit, I’d not likely return due to slow service and not friendly or upbeat attitude of staff; however, since it was unusual service, we will return
Server was inattentive. Food was not tasty. They were out of the special at 6 PM. The restaurant was not busy so we're not sure why. It was a weekly special so, if you're out of it, change the special! Soup one of our party ordered was delivered before his cocktail, even though he'd wanted it as part of his entree. Our server disappeared after bringing the food. We had to flag down another server to get drink refills. We will not return.
Waitress didn't know how to take a drink order and bar tender for confused too. We ordered a Gin and Tonic with Tanqueray Gin if they had it, a Jack and Diet Coke and an Ameretto Sour. The waitress had to come back for more specifics on the Gin and Tonic because he didn't know how to make it and then wanted to clarify we wanted the Jack and Diet Coke in the same glass. There were no questions about the Ameretto Sour drink order but they brought us a Whiskey Sour which is not even close except they share the word "Sour". So drinks and waitress, not good, but the food was awesome!
Crab cake appetizer with zuchinni noodles was delicious and enough for a meal for me. A very good value at $12. My husband had the tuna appetizer, a nice piece of tuna for $10, also a great value. Service was friendly and the outdoor patio was very enjoyable.
Waitress was the best.
Loud. Food tasted like a frozen pizza. Happy hour still somewhat pricey.
This is a bar trying to be more upscale with creative entrees and vegan options. The entrees were not well prepared. I suspect the bar-fare (burgers sandwiches, fries) is just fine. I would steer clear of anything else on the menu.
Admittedly, I visited Sausalito during someone else’s large party, so my experience (I hope) isn’t the norm. Despite being completely swamped, waitstaff were courteous and helpful while wading through a massive croud. The one irredeemable thing was the food. It was bland, and over cooked
The food and service are great! I have dined here several times, and each time was amazing. They have great vegan options.
Food was nothing to get excited about. I would consider it average at best. Pricing was about right for quality and quantity of food.
We were on a business trip, and were so glad to find Sausalito! The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The service was amazing!
Great food, service and neat restaurant. Great menu!
We enjoyed ate dining experience at Sausalito on Ninth, we had a great experience with friends
Only two servers (one behind bar). Nobody there at hostess desk to seat us.
We had an excellent experience at Sausalido on Ninth. The food was fantastic and Amy, the server was spectacular. Thank you for a great experience. Highly recommend to anyone looking for great food, ambiance and service.
I had a awesome time. The food was so delish! I will definitely be back
The food was amazing!! Service was great! I will definitely be back and would recommend this place to everyone!!
This was a really bad dining experience. We had five people at our table and not a single one of them enjoyed their meal. Multiple items on the one page menu were not actually available to order along with the specials for a 530 dinner reservation.
My husband compared his veggie burger to eating a patty made out of fancy feast cat food. I am pretty sure he has never tasted cat food but I can imagine how bad it tasted to make that comparison.
The first hint that this was not a good restaurant to eat at was that there were only other two tables eating on a Saturday night with multiple events going on downtown. Unfortunately because we had a larger party and had other reservations to get to early in the evening, we didn’t really have the time to shop around for another place to eat.
I would’ve rather gone to chipotle on East ninth than eating here, at least everyone at the table would’ve been able to finish their meal.
Best fried fried chicken I’ve ever had. The service was good.
Although I had a 6:30 p.m. reservation through Open Table, my party of two was not seated until 6:50 p.m. After being seated we were never visited by a server. One walked past our table several times to go to tables of people seated after we were seated but not once asked if we had been served, etc. Finally, at 7:20 p.m., we simply left.
I made a reservation using Open Table but the restaurant did not have it when we arrived. We waited awhile as she checked with the manager then were seated at a table upstairs by the exit door to a hallway.
We then waited at our table for 30 minutes and were never acknowledged by anyone working there. Meanwhile the tables around us were being tended to. We had to flag down a server & he had no idea whose table it was so we left. By this time it was 7:15 and the Browns game started in an hour so we had to go the stadium without having dinner.
The food was good. The cocktails were very good. The service from our waiter David was excellent.
We opted for a quiet dinner before seeing Hamilton at Playhouse Square. The service was wonderful. Outdoor patio was nice, although a little buggy. Food was great - I will definitely eat here again. Very convenient to E. 9th Street, the Rock Hall and downtown Cleveland.
My husband and I enjoyed our lunch after the US Age Group National Championship Triathlon. The service staff was very attentative and friendly. The food was delicious.
Great service and food. A shout out to Christine and David. They were very friendly and made sure we had everything we wanted.
Lizzie is a great server!
Terrible .. had reservations and waiting 90 minutes and no food! Waitress was going to send Manager over .. never came .. got a basket of bread after 80 minutes. Terrible experience .. had to leave without eating
