Fathers Day was nice but our waiter seemed extremely busy. Food was good but not exceptional. We ordered from the Father’s Day 3 course meal so I want to give them another try for brunch. I’m hoping that will be better.
I must say the amount of money I spent on this Father’s Day Brunch was not worth it. The Westin Is a rated 4star hotel, but the brunch service I would rate a 2 star. The waiter was very polite, and the food was delivered pretty quickly; however, the food was not tasty.
The restaurant ran out of straws which caused my party of 6 to drink from the glasses. Completely unacceptable, especially during an ongoing pandemic.
There were flies/nats all over the table where we were located. There were also dead flies on the window seal where we were seated. Very unsanitary and unpleasing to look at while trying to enjoy the view of a waterfront hotel. I would recommend white table cloths on the tables, especially if the restaurant doesn't plan to invest in new tables. There were plenty of scratches and chipped wood on the table, making it difficult to determine if the table was wiped clean.
Also, the Father’s Day menu was combined with Juneteenth special menu, which in my opinion, was tailored to African American people only.
Menu included...BBQ ribs, macaroni, collard greens, and red velvet cake.
Enough said, I believe the readers understand my stance.
Food was fair, just needed more options to decide from
There we 5 of us for brunch including my 15 month old grandson. All of the food was very good except for my Eggs Benedict which found the eggs way over cooked. They were cooked very hard. Our waiter was great and the overall feeling of the restaurant was very good.
Glad we went. Beautiful view, nice waitress. Food was fine. Nothing to rave about but a good meal. My only complaint was we were seated at a window which was great but on the sill were many dead flies and bugs. This always makes me wonder in restaurants if they do not pay attention to these kind of not so small details then what else is not getting cleaned or noticed. We had a very good time.
It was beautiful
Very attentive server and great food!
Sauciety was really nice. The food was pretty good. The view of the harbor was awesome. I would recommend this restaurant to my family and friends.
The Cajun blackened pasta was delicious! Overall good and fast service.
First time dining here. The menu was great! Had all the great brunch favorites...french toast, pancakes, omelets, etc. The staff were very friendly and professional. The atmosphere is great with a great view. Definitely will be back!
Service and atmosphere great. Menu is lacking variety and cream of crab was like water with bits of crab.
The food was really good but it took almost an hour to get it. The server was nice but I was so hungry at the table.
Great service and the breakfast was good.
Service was extremely slow. We saw tables go almost 30 minutes before being cleared.
The food was very good. Service also. However should update their furniture , tables are old and matted.
Very quiet and customer friendly atmosphere. Servers were courteous and wore mask the whole time.
We didn't like that the tip of 18% was on the check...We were only 3 people....They did not advise us that the Tip was included....We understand when 6 people or more...They left the tip area blank on the merchant & guest copies and we left a 25% tip....Before departing, my brother wanted to know what they charged for one of the speciality drinks we ordered and that's when he noticed the 18% tip included in the total.
I have never been a fan of "Buyer Beware Tricks"....We felt that as a couresty, we would have been advised....We would have added the extra 7% tip.
In hindsite, i guess we all learned a valuable lesson...Scrutinize every charge on every check...Left a bad taste in our mouths.
Let me first start with that our waitress Bette was amazing! She was kind and took very good care of us once we were seated. The food was good
Our issues were with the overall management. We made a 10:30 am reservation for six for outside dining. Upon arrival, it took approximately 15 mins for the hostess to get to us. Once we were able to speak with her, we were told we would not be able to be accommodated as there was a group who had put down a deposit for 12pm in the outdoor seating (an 1.5 after we should have been seated). We were offered outside seating where our party would be broken up into groups of two, which was unacceptable, as we had young children. After much back and forth, they relented and seated us in the outdoor area but with an hour time frame. We were seated and again well taken care of by our waitress, but unfortunately the overall initial experience was very poor
Skip this place. Usually Marriott properties have good food but this one did not. Went with three friends all of our food was very mediocre. One plate arrived cold. Zero crab meat in the crab mac and cheese. Overcooked burgers. Service was also blah. One of the workers walked around consistently not properly wearing her mask
Pros: Good for the view; decent food; good service
Cons: Not enough menu selections; pricey for no reason; interior and dining furniture need major cleaning/ updating.
The service was great but the food was horrible. My crab cake tasted like it was cooked earlier in the day and was reheated when I ordered it.
The food was great and the service was very timely also I dropped my bank card and they called me to come back and get it thank you...
Great brunch spot by the water. Food was so bomb and fast service . COVID SAFE
COVID has changed dining so much. Everything was spaced out which I approved. The tables and chair appeared a bit worn which I didn't expect since it's a Marriott property. The food did not look very appetizing but it was actually tasty. The pancakes were amazing, as we went for brunch and we also had a view of the Potomac. I may never book a reservation to go there again unless I stayed at the property, although it was a solid 6/7.
Great food and table overlooking the water.
Nice ambiance but over priced for the meal we received. Service was great.
It was a great experience, the view was amazing and the kids enjoyed the burgers!
Great Birthday Brunch !!
Excellent customer service and great food. Love the ambience of the dining area
Great hidden gem with very tasteful foods and drinks
Cold coffee, terrible food, slow service , incorrect reservation.
Wings were basic and the crab flatbread had the worst aftertaste. The Henny punch was good though!
Brunch was good!!!
Drinks were week. Kitchen was slow and food mediocre.
I’m so disappointed by everything about this restaurant. I will probably not be coming back to the hotel at all because of it.
Had beautiful seating outside with Harbor and Wheel view in the evening. Took awhile for the server to come to the table but once she did the service was very good. The food came out quickly and the Filet Mignon was cooked perfectly. We fully enjoyed it!
Upon initial arrival, manager/host sat us, we weren't offered water (despite the same manager/host seating another table and offering them water after seating us) at that point we had to wait for our waiter for approximately 10 mins.
The table assignments were strange, with waiters having sections in different corners of the restaurant, I believe this aided in the confusion.
I think even with limited seating/staffing due to covid, this just may have been a bad service night.
Food was good however.
Nice setting with a view of the Ferris wheel and pier.
Although the service started out a little slow, once our waiter finally took our order, everything was great. Out waiter was great, the food was unexpectedly excellent. I will return.
