Good food- good service- loud up beat atmosphere but a great placeFor friends get together! cauliflower pizza was delicious. Actually tasted like pizza
Loved our experience!!
Foodie, but not fussy. A cool room, a varied and unusual menu, and some terrific flavors. The branzino was expertly filleted, but overcooked and served without sauce. The accompanying root veggies and spinach were perfect. Many excellent choices, and many well-prepared, like the pasta, the chicken Milanese, and the vegetable dishes. More consistency would be great, but overall an excellent LES choice. The pizza looked amazing.
Excellent food just very loud in there with the music but had a great time!
Noise level off the charts and not because of the music. Extremely overcrowded, basically you sitting on other people’s laps. Food was just okay. Service was fantastic, if it wasn’t for the service I would have left. Would have been an enjoyable experience if it was not overcrowded. Never seen so many people pack in a Resturant. Concept of personal space as part of a dining experience is foreign.
Food was great but the service felt really rushed. Not somewhere to go for a leisurely sit down.
Hi- Thank you for taking the time to review us. We are reaching out to you privately.
Sauce is right around the corner from me and will for sure be a go-to place to bring friends and visitors. Service was very helpful, food was simple and delicious, and ambiance was very fun and cool.
Thanks for checking us out! See you soon!
The service was great.Had the meatballs as an app.Fair but the lazagna made up for it.The service could not be matched.
Thanks for your review! See you soon!
Great thin and crispy crust pizza. Cacio e Pepe is spot on. Recipe’s straight from Italy make the dishes standout from typical New York red sauce joints. Hip crowd and throwback hip hop music make it fun.
Loved this place! Had an amazing pizza and chicken parm.
Highly recommend - can’t wait to go back.
Food and service and good and the 90’s hip hop is the best!
Great food. We went for a girl's dinner and had an excellent time and delicious food.
Pretty disappointed with the reopen. Used to be regular visitors for their weekend brunch offer (entree and 2 drinks for something like $20).
All of that is gone now and they’ve got rid of all of the great Italian staple food that they were famous for (eggs bolognese, risotto etc)
The food we had was good but we’ll be going to Supper going forward
Awesome experience as always. Music is always on point as is the food!
Loved our food and waitress!! Food has been Great since the fire
Flavor is back on Rivington! The kings have returned, as good as ever.
One of my favorite restaurants, the food here is always incredible. Love the setting of the restaurant also, very friendly staff.
Unenthusiastic service. Poor presentation, our food was slopped on the plates & the pasta was undercooked, still hard. The staff didn’t even put our food on the table, they gave it to us in our hands. Super dissatisfied as we were really looking forward to it.
Great pizza and pasta. Service was excellent, but a bit loud for my liking.
I lived in Italy for 20 years, and I had pizza almost once a week.
I tried many pizza places in NYC, but no one like sauce made me feel like at home.
I came here with a group of Italian friends and we LOVED IT.
Phenomenal. Josh was a great server.
The seating is very tight quarters so it makes for a bit of an uncomfortable position as you're basically sitting with other patrons backs right up on your table. If you can get passed that though the food is totally worth it. The vodka pizza is to die for!
Looove sauce and was so pumped for it to reopen but was a little disappointed to find the menu change ups
Great italian homestyle dishes that are affordable and made to share. Buzzy atmosphere and quick service make this a place I'll frequent for a consistently good time.
Bolognese pasta was delicious, octopus was not.
Sauce is back and better than ever. So happy that they're back open and food is just as tastey.
Sauce had a fire two weeks ago and is closed. You may want to update your records.
One of the best gluten free pizzas we’ve had. Highly recommend the vodka gluten free pie. Servers were accommodating and cheerful. Will definitely return.
the garlic bread was incredible but wasn’t as impressed with the noddles themself!
Dark and downtown, this Italian place didn’t disappoint. Burata was delicious and lasagna was like nonna’s. Pizza looked great but we stuck with homemade pasta. Steak dish was unflattering. Stick to pasta.
The food was too salty, poor service, expensive and the roof was leaking with rain into a light fixture- which is really dangerous/electricity wise/water being a conductor
Met a friend here for Sunday brunch . They have a deal where you receive 2 brunch cocktails and your meal for $20, which I think is great! Good food, but I wouldn't say it was extraordinary. I had the pancetta and pecorino omelette (with the pecorino on the side since pancetta is already salty), and my friend had the mashed pomodoro sandwich. Both were pretty good, so no complaints there! All in all a great place for brunch with friends.
I went for my birthday dinner on a Sat nite, a little later rez @8:45. Atmosphere is perfect for a birthday - the soundtrack was awesome old school hip hop music & we were dancing in our seats. The food was delicious & arrived pretty quickly after we ordered. The only negative was that our table was in a corner & was very tight for 6 ppl but they were too packed to be able to move us.
Love this place! Food is incredible. The atmosphere is the best. Every time I visit NYC (I'm from Va Beach) I come here to eat :) Food came out really quick and is to die for.
good for parties
fun restaurant, definitely pack you in but good time there. very good food. louder, fun environment. good music.
I LOVE SAUCE!
