The magic of this place is real. Starting with my man Christian, the whole wonderful staff, the food, the vibe, every night it's a blast. I defy anyone to find a better value when dining out in NYC. Bold statement perhaps, but these guys have never let me down. Everyone I bring here leaves happy. Date night, family night, solo dining at the bar, client dinner, check, check, check, check. Boogie on down.
Different pizza then their normal pizza shop sells. Paper thin, crispy and delicious. The rest of the menu was great with everyone in our party enjoying their pasta. Would go back in a heartbeat.
Food quality and wine list were both amazing. If I lived in the city this would be a spot I frequent!
Incredible espresso martinis! Highly recommend them. Everything was really delicious
I love LOVE coming here. The staff is so nice, the food is exceptional, and the music.... ❤️
What a loud. fun and lively restaurant. The food is legit, the vibe is awesome. We had pizza for lunch so sadly didn't get to try, but it looks amazing....super thin and super crispy. Went with the cacio y pepe and the kale caear, which my boyfriend said was the best he's ever had. Espresso martinis from Miguel behind the bar were delish. Will definitely be back next time we're in town.

I hadn’t been to Sauce since they reopened. Was a little underwhelmed by the food. I love al dente pasta but this just honestly was severely under cooked. All the food apps, dinner, and dessert came out so quickly that it was almost concerning.
Ambiance and service was good.
Great food but very loud music. We would dine there again. Young vibe
The tomato gravy was super rich and fresh; probably one of the best tomato sauce I have ever had. I would recommend adding meatballs too. Good atmosphere, but kinda loud with the bar.
Super trendy place with great standard italian food. Great for catching up since it is not too loud and has a great ambiance and environment.
Food was good. Service very friendly. Loud rap music was interesting ambiance, especially in such a classic Italian cafe setting, but to each their own.
We had a lovely date night at Sauce. We used a Gilt voucher, and it was a great experience. Some restaurants give you bad or inattentive service if you use a Gilt/Groupon/LivingSocial voucher, but the Sauce team did not.
The double garlic bread was delicious. The meatballs were good (honestly, I really like the ones I make, but I also didn’t have to make these) and the sauce, appropriately, was awesome.
My date had the chicken parm, which he loved. Growing up in an Italian household, he can be a tough critic, but said it was one of the best he’s had. His only disappointment was that he couldn’t choose the type of pasta and he’s not the biggest fan of spaghetti.
I had the beef bolognese pasta and it was very tasty. The pasta was fresh, cooked well, and the sauce was perfect.
We had two excellent bottles of organic wine, and the tiramisu, which seemed a little frozen, but had good flavor.
It was dim in the restaurant and had an eclectic vibe: neon, photos of Jesus, old pots and pans. They did play rap the whole time, but I couldn’t hear it that well. My date loved it, as he’s an old-school rap aficionado.
Finally, the service was wonderful. Prompt, but not rushed, and an appropriate number of check-ins. While the restaurant was fairly empty when we got there (7:30), service did pick up swiftly.
Food was really good, the atmosphere is is dope, they play hop hip give and serve up good service
Sauce is the best restaurant in NY
The staffs were friendly, but fixed menu, the prices were little high
We learned just before going that for Valentines Day there would be a $75/person prixfix menu with no alternatives. So we went and were seated at a drafty window seat where we draped our coats over our shoulders. The table was tiny and not big enough to hold the plates comfortably. The pasta dish was far too salty but the meatballs and salads were good. We noticed other tables had pizzas which weren’t on the fix menu. The music was so loud we had to shout across the little table. Not great. Never again. Sorry. It seems to be very popular judging from how filled it was by when we left.

It's a cool place especially at the bar or sitting in the back room with 3 or 4 people. The table for 2 is like the old nyc apts as 1/2 an oven. The noise level is deafening. Meatballs, homemade Tomato sauce is excellent. Bolognese ok, pasta very good.
LOVED food and service at Sauce. Typical loud music and difficult to talk with your dinner mates, but worth it for the delicious food and wonderful service.
Food was unbelievable!! Great atmosphere and our waitress was so great. Husband is from Italy and is so picky about italian and loved it! Will definitely be back :)
Rustic Italian decor, service is right on point and the food is amazing! Great wine accompanied.
people are always great there.. Allegra is winderful and Miguel was so sweet and charming.. i come there often and everyone i bring is impressed
The best cauliflower crusted pizza in NY. really good. Think crust and crunchy. You would not even realize it is cauliflower. Very pricey for a 10" personal pie, but to be expected in NYC.
Food is great and music is even better!
I wanted to love Sauce, but unfortunately the food was mediocre at best, the tables were tiny, the chairs were uncomfortable. Very disappointing.
Music awful. Loops of the Star Wars theme a la rap. Awful background for eating
The customer service here was excellent. While the appetizer and desserts were disappointing. (Do not get the brownie) The main courses were excellent and our waitress and the host up front in the restaurant were absolutely accommodating.
Food was as delicious as I remembered! I’ll be bdck
I’ve been here probably over 40 times and will continue to come back for the great food and service.
Cool Italian casual date spot
Fun atmosphere and great food.
Plank board is delicious and the presentation of it being built on the table is awesome
door was kept open during very chilly night, due to the smoke detector constantly going off. I had to close the curtain myself because the staff did not want to close the door.
Pasta was undercooked (more than al dente). Dessert was a cold brownie. Service was fine but minimal. Seated at the end of a table and kept getting knocked into
Delicious food, friendly service, and easy to get to. We loved the breakfast pizza and kale salad.
The food service and atmosphere was fantastic. The only complaint is it can get a too loud for a Dinner with the music levels
Loved our server Miguel 💕 food was amazing.
Sauce really hit the spot. We needed a pizza and pasta place for our family - that was a step up from the regular chain joints throughout the city. The pizza was unique and different - but in a good way. We did two orders of pasta and two different pizzas and shared everything. The upside down pizza with pepperoni was may fav, but everyone liked something different. We jumped at the chance of dessert as well - going for the Tiramisu and Chocolate brownie for the table to split. Again - everyone was divided, because both were amazing. I recommend sauce to everyone staying near Chinatown or the Village.
Waitress was unattentive and aloof. Table next to us was LOUD and smoking a weed vape pen and blowing it on us, but waitress seemed to know them, so was unconcerned with our complaint. Had to ask a random server to get our tab and run our card.
Great food and wine with some classic tracks on the speakers. Amazing place
Our entree came out incorrectly with actual full peppercorns in the cacio e Pepe. My friend thought she chipped her tooth and it was completely inedible. Pepper yes but entire peppercorns is not how the dish is to be served. Regardless we ordered another to be made and patiently waited. A new cacio e pepe came out which was wonderful but the problem is that after we waited for so long (mind you we still had glasses of wine and dessert to eat) the host told us we need to leave the table so he could sit the next party...it was completely distasteful and inappropriate considering we were only delayed at our table because of the poorly made dish and we still had wine and dessert to enjoy...very unfortunate because we’ve had great experiences there but this was terrible. Not sure if they have new management but the service was terrible.
