My wife and I went to our first brunch at Satterfields. It was everything we expected from this wonderful restaurant.
Martin was a server and does a fabulous job the food was always excellent we have never been disappointed we do hope that you put back door is on the menu at some point. Thank you so much for storing your birthday cake and serving it. Everything was perfect thoroughly enjoyed and we look forward to coming again. This is a great way to treat your kids and train them in dinner out behavior.

Happy hour was wonderful- great drink prices and half off appetizer selection (inc. raw oysters!). It was hard to choose main course off of the dinner menu bc it all looked so good! We ended up asking our waiter to choose. We love the atmosphere at Satterfield’s too; beautiful ambiance and super cozy. Delish and super fun night!
Satterfield's has been a favorite of mine for some years now. The food is reliably excellent, as is the service. It's quieter now than it often has been in the past since there are fewer tables--this is a big ~plus~ for me. I don't go to dinner to have conversation drowned out by "energetic" background noise; I go to have a leisurely excellent meal and an equally excellent conversation that doesn't require shouting.
Parking is convenient, as is the restaurant.
Nothing bad to say about it.
Seemed to be an off night. The fish was over-cooked (too crunchy and nearly burned) leaving it dry. Soup was served barely warm and was a very skimpy serving. Croutons in the soup were over toasted and the burn flavor covered up the cornbread taste. Muffins have little taste. The roasted beat salad was very good.
Great service and a wonderful meal. The Conecuh poppers are very tasty, and our salads were noteworthy - both the kale salad and the smoked beet salad. Entrees were good in portions and well prepared - the Pumpkin Agnolotti was incredible, and their hamburger - ground brisket with a slab of pork belly - is quite an undertaking. Looking forward to our next time there.
Trust Me - first four courses were great. Pork tenderloin was good, it great. Beet cake was disappointing.
Unusual, refreshing dishes and great tasting! Service great. Main dish was warm.

This was a brunch for a birthday. It was an excellent choice. The food was the best and the appetizers were wonderful. Martin our server went over the top. It was from start to finish a wonderful experience.

This is a great place for a dinner date or just drinks and desert. The food is delicious and the service is professional and courteous. Seems like a safe environment - limited occupancy, good spacing between tables, no sitting at the bar, and face masks are used by all staff.

Tonight out table order the special menu and it did not disappoint! Everything was so flavorful and it was a nice variety of dishes and definitely plenty of food. Our entire table enjoyed the food and the service
First time experience- very satisfied: Martin our waiter was excellent, made several great suggestions. I had the scallops and my husband had the rabbit stew. We are from out of town and will return when back in Birmingham.

Absolutely Wonderful food and cocktails! We had Happy Hour cocktails with half off cheese plate-soooo goood! Entrees: Rabbit Pot pie and Scallops- ohmygoodness! Sooo delicious!
The only negative was being seated near a person who talked not stop on her phone our entire meal.
Went to Satterfield's for Sunday brunch. Had eaten there at dinner and enjoyed it. Not impressed with brunch. First, dining room was hot. Temperature was 74 on their thermostat. Had fans blowing in each corner (not good in COVID era with patrons removing their masks, as necessary, to eat) to try to cool it down. Didn't work.
Brunch menu is fairly limited. And they are strict, ridiculously so, on any substitutions at all. For example, one dish listed it being topped with a poached egg. Was told when asked that the egg could not be over easy or over hard - must be poached. When asked why was told it was for presentation sake. The meal was being presented to me, thought maybe my wishes should have been factored in.
Got a wedge salad instead. Pretty, but not enough dressing. Was scared to ask for more, but I did. With the extra dressing, it was okay. Have had much better wedges - maybe not as pretty, but much better.
The sausage poppers appetizer was excellent. Highly recommend. As long as you like everything in the popper, which includes jalapenos. Fine for me, but again the tight "no substitutions" policy could hinder some who would not want the extra spice of jalapenos on a sausage popper.
Overall, between it being too hot and the restrictive approach to their menu, I wouldn't go back for brunch. I hope they are not the same way at dinner these days. Been a long time since we'd gone to Satterfield's. Will be a lot longer before we go back.

This place is a cute restaurant but the food was HORRIBLE. I’ve never had such a bad steak from somewhere out to eat. It was burnt on the outside and that’s all you could taste and I got the steak cooked medium so there shouldn’t be a burnt taste at all. My dates salad was super salty from the dukkah that originally was requested to NOT be on there but the salad came with it anyways. The server had literally no emotion and seemed she hated her job. I do not recommend anyone to go here looking for good food because they don’t have it and they are way over priced for such a bad quality of food.

Food not up to what it used to be. Maybe the covid, maybe not. Food not equal to price. All I can say is average.
The burger and the dessert were great. Bar is always good. We have been there many times.
The vegetable plate was a big disappointment. It was grits with some tough, inedible unseasoned eggplant and a piece of squash and some tomato salsa thrown in. It's one of the worst meals I've had in a restaurant. And it was $22!
One of the best meals we’ve had. The restaurant is beautiful - even set up for social distancing. Service was impeccable and the food was over the top. I had a smoked beet salad which, honestly, was one of the best things I have ever eaten. I think I could eat it every day. The grouper over succotash was incredible with all the vegetables being farm fresh and the grouper perfectly cooked. My husband, who never orders chicken in a restaurant, said it was better than steak. An incredible meal.
Fantastic experience— loved the half-off appetizers and select drinks until 6! Service was great (attentive but not overkill) and the food was incredible. Ordered two rounds of each appetizer we got because they were all so good.

The food was solid as usual but the service was average. The waiter could definitely use some training.
Was overall disappointed. Have not been here in over a year, last time was great. This time was so so. Never had the ambience but made up for it with the food and service. The food is still good but the service was lacking and upon completion, just don’t have that “can’t wait to come back” feeling which is unfortunate. They no longer serve the “coddled egg” which was amazing. Too bad. But, I will give them another visit, may have just been a bad night?

My wife and I had dinner inside at Satterfield's Restaurant twice in the past two weeks. The food was delicious and the service was professional and caring. They had good social distancing protocols set up, and the wait staff wore face masks. Satterfield's has good drink selections and a nice wine list. The food is a little pricey, but well worth it!

We’ve had dinner at Satterfield’s and it was AMAZING! Brunch not so much.. It was good but for the price we’d be better off going to Cracker Barrel..
Brunch was very good, especially the pimento cheese appetizer. We sat inside so there was only one other table occupied (surely due to Covid). Our server was very attentive and kept his mask on through the entire meal. We will definitely be back for dinner.
