   Every bite was good. Quality is on par with the current price of $195/pp. At ~5’ tall, 105-115lbs, my wife and I were thoroughly satiated by the amount of food. Service was great: friendly and attentive.

   It's one of the best Omasake that I've had throughout the years. It's not too pretentious and uptight. Elegant casual and comfy environment. The food is outstanding. Service is genuine and attentive. I'm usually not a uni person but the Hokkaido uni is phenomenal. It's not your typical Omakase as it's with a twist of Peruvian vibe to the dishes and atmosphere. We enjoyed our evening very much.

   I rarely write reviews for places, but Sato Omakase was an unforgettable dining experience. The Omakase menu featured fresh and delicious fish and the supplemental wine pairing is a must. All the staff were incredibly helpful and nice, including the sommelier. Definitely on the pricier side, but well worth every penny. An absolutely wonderful experience and will definitely be returning!

    What an unique experience! Not only was the food delicious it was so neat to watch it be prepared. Chef Lee was so engaging and informative. The cocktails were also delicious!

    By far the best Omakase experience in San Francisco. Been to many in the city, including The Shota, Kusakabe, Akiko, Sushi Hon and Hinata being my top faves – Sato Omakase is now at the top of this list. From the service, presentation, drinks, atmosphere nothing else can really compare to how perfect this place was.

    We celebrated our anniversary here. Everything about the Omakase experience was amazing! The food was delicious, our favs were the barracuda, the Hokkaido uni, the toro…the list goes on. The service was great, they refilled our sparkling water several times, never left our glasses less than half full. The staff were friendly and very informative as well. 10/10 would recommend and definitely will be coming back!

    Went to sato omakase yesterday for anniversary dinner and it was definitely the best omakase I've had (out of the 5) in sf. We sat at the bar and was provided an exceptional service. Our sushi chef and all the staff were very detail oriented and explained all the dishes. We got a complimentary non-alcoholic Rose for the special occasion. :) Apparently the menu changes slightly each day also! Portion wise it was perfect. The whole meal lasted almost 3 hours and we enjoyed each piece of fresh sashimi and nigiri! By the end, we were pretty full, but still wanted to try the toro uni truffle bowl. If you like fresh uni, I'd definitely recommend it, the pictures don’t do it justice!

    Quite nice place! Chef and staff are very available and knowledgeable, and this is one of the few omakase restaurants in the area that allow same-day reservations (or even walk-ins if supply allows, as I witnessed). It's nice to have this kind of availability, especially with a hectic schedule.

    One of the best meals my husband and I have ever had, if not THE best. I think the food was even better than French Laundry. Each bite of nigiri was an experience. For example, a piece of nigiri might start as herbacious, then turn citrus-y, then salty, then umami meaty, then turn smoky, then fatty & creamy.... It was amazing. Every single piece of fish had it's own story to tell, and its own individual flavor profile. Sato Omakase also makes its own soy sauce which was so good that I asked them if they sold it by the bottle. Sadly, they don't. The staff was lovely, attentive, and helpful. As we went for our anniversary, they started us off with a beautiful glass of non-alcoholic Reisling on the house. Very thoughtful and much appreciated. My only complaint was that the website was set up in such a way when you click on Menu, the menu for Sushi Sato automatically comes up and at the top of that menu, it lists the 8 course tasting menu as $110 per person. That's the omakase I thought we were getting. I didn't realize that you need to click on Menu>Sato Omakase in order to see a completely different menu that is priced at $195 per person. That said, it was expensive and worth it.

    Sato is one of the newcomers to the omakase scene in SF and, in my opinion, becoming one of the best. The fish were well cured, sliced, and plated. The menu was carefully curated. The staff was attentive and elegant. Chef Lee was a good conversationalist yet casual and professional at the same time. We were seated at the bar early, when there were only a few other seats taken, so it felt like all the attention was on us, but we didn’t feel rushed either. Each plate was a good blend of taste and Instagram-worthiness. Overall, we enjoyed our experience and hope to be seated in front of Chef Lee again soon.

    Amazing Omakase night at Sato Omakase. The ambient was joyful with classic music, private room with friendly chefs and servers. Food quality was phenomenal and wine pairing was also amazing. Chef Lee served me and my girlfriend for her birthday. All Omakase menu was selected by Chef Lee and it was amazing. I was bit worried to see some reviews saying the food amount was small, but it was perfect to full fo both of us - asian couple. Very worth spend money for the experience, and making for an eventful night. Recommended!!

    What can I say? Phenomenal. Chef Lee is a genius. This a more diverse omakase compared to others in SFO, which is a good thing. The lobster dish was one for the books - simple and soulful. Reminded me of the simple soup I had in a tiny resto just outside Ishin temple in Nara. All the nigiris were fresh, perfectly seasoned, and delicious. The succession from lean to fatty with pause/ of acidity in between was seamless. The uni was, to chef’s words “my icecream” -creamy, salty, sweet, with the smell of the ocean in every bite. My only regret was not getting the hand roll. Overall, worth every single penny. And it wasn’t just the food but the top-notch and thoughtful service from the servers. They were knowledgeable but not intimidating. Best decision ever.

    The food was good. A few bites were exceptionally delicious. But $1385 for four people with drinks seemed outrageous for what we were given. The service was attentive. But at the end of the meal we were all still hungry and a shocked by the price. I guess I just expected more. Doubt we will ever go back.
