My waitress was wonderful. Sad that I did not get her name as she was extremely helpful and had a great personality!
I’ll definitely be back!
Phil was amazing! we were hosting my mom from Seattle and she loved it!! A wonderful Mother's Day!
The food was great! The service was extremely slow. After being given a dessert menu and waiting nearly 20 minutes for the server to return we had to request our check from a manager.
We had a great time, however the acoustics of the restaurant make it difficult to hear people sitting directly across from you.
Outstanding on every level! From our server to cocktails through dessert, we loved everything about this place. Nice, private and quiet location in the design district, so different from the Dallas norm. Very fresh, flavorful and interesting Italian cuisine. Will definitely go again and driving in from Keller, not exactly a convenient location for us but well worth the trip.
Very friendly service, food was fantastic and the drinks were great!
Service was slow, lagging and could’ve been more attentive. Food was good. Had to ask for more wine. Overall was still good and will return.
So many first dates! Pastas were great and the wines were good. The banana budino dessert was a great nightcap.
So much lemon in the food. Restaurant was super warm and noisy inside, so moved to an outside table. Staff was fantastic. My other experiences here were great, so I’m hoping this was just a bad day.
Slow start with service but once it began everything was great.
We have been here many times. Sat. night the food was exceptional. Love everything about Sassetta. It is our favorite before the Meyerson stop.
I love this place! Great for any occasion and the service was incredible! I will definitely be back for their carbonara and lasagna!
We happened to have a larger party next to us so it was a little loud from them. Ravioli dish we had was great and the clam white pizza was also very good. Although wish it was a little bigger.
Love the vegetarian options! Well done appetizers and pastas. Sorbet is a must have; light yet very flavorful. Highly recommend.
Than you so much for the review. We appreciate your feedback, especially about the sorbet(I'm a huge fan of it myself)!! We hope to see you again soon.
Cool atmosphere, but noisy group next to us made it difficult to have a conversation. The food was okay, but Brussel sprouts were bitter with an overly lemon taste. Pizza was great as well as the ricotta appetizer.
We had reservations and the restaurant was mostly empty and we were seated at a banquet in the corner against a wall. So one of us was facing two walls and the other person got to face the restaurant. I don't know why restaurants do this when there are so many other choices of tables. This decreases the dining experience and puts the responsibility on the guest to request to be moved, which I didn't do because my daughter hates it when I do that. But it is frustrating to have this happen. When we left, the restaurant still had many open tables where we could have dined.
Started with a Pepperoni pizza as appetizer; great flavor, fantastic crust. Had the Carbonara and orecchiette pasta dishes as entrees; both excellent. As was the hazelnut torta for dessert. My only complain was that the restaurant was freezing cold inside! Mentioned it to the server, who did respond that they were working on it; it warmed up from freezing to just cold while we ate.
Steve, Thank you for the great review, especially for the feedback. I'm so happy to hear how much you enjoyed the pizza, pasta, and dessert. As a management team, after reading this email, we addressed the air conditioning and agreed that it can be a little chilly in here. I'm so happy that you brought this to our attention, as it's the necessary feedback that we need to make a better dining experience. We hope to see you again soon!
Great lunch out with my family. Really enjoyed all the great flavors and combinations. Recommend (again) the taleggio.
Excellent as always
Great service, food delicious!
Great food. Excellent service. Beautiful night to sit outside.
Great area and great food. We all really enjoyed our different dishes and great service!
Do not miss the fennel sausage pizza. Or the octopus. So many delicious things on the menu - in a pretty room with pretty people. What's not to like?
Beautiful, delicious food with service perfectly balanced between attentiveness and privacy. We will be back many times in the future.
Me and my boyfriend come almost every saturday night for date night. We order the toast with spread and burnt honey pizza. Our waiter this saturday evening was phenomenal. Quick service and kind. I honestly suggest this place to anyone celebrating any occassion .
We keep coming back!
Sassetta is a place you will want to return to again and again. I started going in early 2018 when very busy on a transaction. I would work every Saturday (my office is downtown) and would meet my wife there for lunch every Saturday. Even after that transaction closed, I have continued to dine at Sassetta on a regular basis. The location is ideal if you work in or near downtown (it is not at all far from the AAC so think about it for a great meal before a concert or game). It is at 1617 Hi Line and it backs up to Oak Lawn Avenue. Everything on the menu is great, but my wife and I love sharing a salad and a pizza. I am particularly fond of both the chopped salad and the baby romaine salad. All of the pizzas are great, but I love the pepperoni pizza and the sausage pizzas. The chicken parm sandwich is also really tasty. Great place for a business lunch or a date. With Spring here, the outdoor seating will be very popular. Give it a try and it will be a regular on your lunch/dinner rotation.
Love Sassetta but they have got to figure out service. We sat for almost 45 minutes before a waiter took our order. Too long especially at lunch!
Wonderful place!! Great food:) And especially enjoyed the amazing jazz trio!
I brought my fiancé who is moving to Dallas here and he loved it!
I’ve been to Sassetta twice now and both experiences were outstanding. The food and service are both fantastic. A special shoutout to the pastry chef who is making some of the most delicious desserts in the game.
Great flavors and quality. Farm fresh. Homemade pastas with combos
Such a great surprise! Great food, great wine & great service! Perfect combination for lunch or dinner! The ricotta and sourdough was so amazing, the flavors in the mushroom salad were incredible and the pasta was truly an Italian experience! Glad to find authentic places like Sassetta! The only watch out for you guys was the espresso as it was a cold when I got it! A espresso being cold is such a sin! But overall congrats!
The food was amazing, really some of the best Italian I've ever had.
Continuously one of my top 3 spots in Dallas! It’s fantastic for everything from business meals to get-togethers with friends, and date night too. Wine list is great and food is top notch. You must get the whipped ricotta appetizer!
I loved your Monday special! There was a great outdoor area to sit in and our waitress was so kind and eager to offer suggestions. We had a great experience.
I have been to Sassett for lunch and brunch but this was the first time for dinner. We stopped in a bite after a show (9p) and the nose level was still overwhelming. However our server (Courtney) more than made up for the distracting shrill of the drunk woman next to us.
Courtney’s recommendation of the Mushroom salad was the big hit! Wow - really delicious and light. And the pizza was very good as well (sopressata).
I’ll be back - but when the crowd has thinned out so we can hear ourselves talk to one another - when the weather is nice enough to sit outside.
No gluten free options but delicious food and great service! Wonderful flavors!
Could use some automated shade / filters over windows for when sun is shining in. Made for an annoying 10 to 15 minutes.
