Food and ambience top notch!! A hidden gem!!
Fabulous Chef and Service. Our place to celebrate our 40th anniversary!!! Loved everything about Sassella
Food was soooooo perfectly delicious! Wait staff was efficient, friendly and professional (hey Kristin!). Will absolutely return again…..and again….and again!!
The food was off the charts good especially the Burratta and the Lobster Risotto. I asked the waiter to pair some wines by the glass for me and he definitely got it right. The overall service was impeccable. I highly recommend dinner at Sassella!
We iIndulge in fine dining often. This was an Exceptional experience all the way around. If you were visiting Santa Fe I would encourage you to put this at the top of your list for a dining experience.
Another stellar meal. Our third at Sassella in as many months. My husband is still raving about the Lobster Risotto.
The chef came to our table and others to chat. I asked about eliminating an ingredient in the Carbonara Pasta. I can’t handle 63degree eggs so the chef was very accommodating and not at all insulted. In fact he treated us to dessert.
Lovely patio for outdoor dining.
Service was spot on. Attentive and cordial. Caesar salad was creatively presented and delicious - especially the tuna slant of the dressing. The lobster risotto was rich and creamy with tender lobster. The sous vide veal chop was tender as butter - no knife needed. Had a crispy thin breading that I assume was deep fried - a crusty textural combination to the velvety soft veal. Plenty of wines to choose from and all served at their proper temperatures. Overall a fine dining experience.
The food as before, always delicious, service was friendly and helpful. Sitting outside quiet, enjoyable and the spacing between tables great. Our only complaint was that it took forever for any food to arrive. A long wait for our starters, but lots of yummy bread (including gluten free) kept us going. Two fo us were sharing a pasta dish, the other two, no second dish. Again, a long wait. We asked the waiter about our third dish and he said they would wait until we finished the second course. Having waited a long time we asked that they fire up the third course before we finished our second plate, which they did. Almost 3 hours for dinner, much too long, thank goodness we were with people we really enjoy being with. There must have been kitchen problems as wait staff seemed to be waiting too. Perhaps COVID has impacted staffing which so many places are dealing with. Hopefully, our guest will return as they really liked the food. Oh, it would be wise to add more vegetarian options/flexibility.
Absolutely outstanding in every way. Service was impeccable. Food divine (especially the Varro salad and lobster risotto), wine list extensive. The outdoor patio was perfect, and we will enjoy the beautiful interior space come winter.
The service is exceptional, and I know of no other restaurant that takes such thoughtful care of diners. Everything about the restaurant is first rate. Sassella is one of the best--if not the best--restaurant in Santa Fe.
Superb chef. Excellent attentive service. Dined outside. Romantic. Pricey CA wines but extensive selection of Italian wines and also Lombardy wines hard to find in most places. Overall highly recommend.
Outstanding food. The food was all that I expected.
Food was delicious. Servers were lovely. Service was a bit slow, and wish they would have thought to move an umbrella over us when it started to rain in our food! When I asked them to do so, they did immediately. I think COVID has made staffing a challenge so I am very forgiving around the service aspect of dining. We will be eating at Sassella again.
The meal was outstanding in all respects. You will not be disappointed with you dining experience at Sassella.
Wonderful drinks food and service
10/10 would go back
Outstanding! Food, service, ambiance all over the top. One of the best restaurant experiences we’ve ever had!!
Sassella offers a truly fine dining experience with terrific food and excellent service. It is highly recommended, particularly for special occasions.
Food was absolutely spectacular and the outside dining experience was equally great! But our server Justin was really bad - arrogant with no social skills - not sure if he is going thru a personal crisis or not - if not, he needs to find another line of work! If you go, make sure you ask NOT to be served by Justin.
Sassella, by far, in our opinion is the best restaurant in Santa Fe. Chef Christian’s food is just amazing and Sarah at the bar is a gem. It’s a restaurant everyone should try as the atmosphere is calm, the drinks are great and the food is fabulous…what more could you ask for? 🌺💗
Great service and food.
Our third or fourth time at Sassella and did not disappoint. Since it was our anniversary, they started us with a complimentary glass of champagne. Next, gin cocktails with the Chef's Board. All the meets and cheeses were delicious. Entrees of Bison Bolognese for husband, who has had it three times, and he said it just keeps getting better and better! I had the Amatriciana con Gamberi, and it was very good with several "colossal" shrimp, and handmade pasta and sauce. Our waiter was very informative regarding an Italian wine to pair with my dish and he was spot on! Finished with cannoli and after dinner drinks. Sassella has become one of our most favorite restaurants because it is consistently outstanding. We love the patio, the wait servers, and we consider the food to be some of the best in Santa Fa.
A phenomenal dinner experience! Very romantic and delicious! We appreciate the chef preparing the gluten free bread…very kind of him. We will be back!
Northern Italian food, every thing was delicious and well done
highly recommend , the service is great for Santa Fe .
Absolutely the best restaurant we visited while we were in Santa Fe! Our server Arturo was most exceptional in his service and knowledge. We opted for the tasting menu. Each course was better than the last. Definitely give this establishment a try.
Our waitress did not know wine....could not even confirm red vs white! There was obviously a language barrier -- We ordered a bottle and she brought 2 caraffes for individual pours and it was difficult to flag her down. My husband's veal chop was excellent but my duck confit was tough!
Sassella is our new favorite Santa Fe restaurant. It has outdoor dining, excellent service and incredible food and cocktails.
Fantastic Italian restaurant. We are visiting Santa Fe for the weekend and have been longing for authentic Italian food and wine from Northern Italy. The food was great, wonderful wine list and unfortunately we did not see the Negroni flight until we were near the end of dinner. We will be back to try more menu items and the Negroni flight.
Four of us dined last night-- first time at this restaurant. We all live in Santa Fe and dine out quite a bit. We are also very knowledgable about wine. The quality of the food just did not meet our expectations. Pasta was overcooked, portions of risotto were very small, duck was a little tough. The starters were much better than the mains. Service was sporadic. Great wine list but our first choice bottle was not available. We dined on the outdoor patio which was very pleasant. Overall, this is relatively low value for the price.
Divine food and atmosphere. Server was not as attentive as we would have liked. He was slow in refilling our beverages. The server’s assistant was amazing.
Magical and delicious. Especially loved the outdoor ambience and the waiter was terrific.
Perfect evening at an outside lovely table! Food was Awesome! Service was awesome!
Great food and ambience. We almost never saw our waiter and course timing was badly off. Such a disappointment.
The pasta dishes we ordered were quite ordinary. I expected much better. The salad and dessert were very good.
Excellent food. Very knowledgeable waiter. Lovely patio for dining.
Great outdoor seating but we went inside to find beautiful decor. Good and service fabulous. Will return .
Increíble food and great Italian wine list! A romantic atmosphere for first time date, indoor and outdoor space are great but unfortunately the service staff was short or something because it took lots of time everything that we requested
Always great food. My wife had pasta bolognese and I had lobster ravioli. Appetizer of prosciutto and melon and goat cheese. Seemed to be a little short staffed, but server was quite pleasant. Prices are high. Patio is a great place to dine.
Lovely presentation and delicious food.
We had attentive but not fussy service. The patio was charming and relaxed. The food was good but a tad pricey
