Wow. What a great restaurant! There's nothing on the menu I don't want to try. This was our second time to Sassafras and, just like the first, it didn't disappoint. The crab nachos were incredible. You have to get the she crab soup, too. You won't experience fried chicken the same after you have theirs. It's a stuffed breast, almost like cordon bleu, but deep-fried. Amazing! And ask for Joshua. He's the absolute best. He will make your experience top notch.

Everything from the service to the food was excellent. I had the hot and spicy pork tenderloin for an appetizer and was not disappointed. I also had the Filet with pimento cheese, which was an excellent choice as well. My wife had the salmon (of course I sampled) and it was delicious. Overall a great experience.

We thought the food was great. My wife got the salmon and I got the beef en croute. We also had the she crab soup and a wedge salad. It all was really good. Our server at the bar (Charlsie) and our server at our table (Caroline) were both terrific. The place itself was ecclectic and many of the customers were in t-shirts and gym shorts. We did not think it would be that casual. Comfortable place with really good food and service.

We were seated at a quaint table by the window which was excellent! The food and drinks were amazing. We started with the fried green tomatoes and pimento cheese and both had the filet as our entree. The steaks were cooked and seasoned to perfection. Because we were celebrating our anniversary, we were treated to a complimentary dessert— the crème brûlée was wonderful as well. We will definitely be back when we revisit Greenville!
