Saska’s menu is a take-off from the classic menu of the ’60s and ’70s. It includes Wedge salad, Crispy brussels sprouts, various cuts of steak, and a wide variety of seafood including roasted salmon and Alaskan king crab legs.
As San Diego’s original steakhouse, Saska’s is committed to preserving its status in history as an instantly familiar gathering place for locals in the Mission Beach community.
I have been a customer since the early 60's. I appreciate the efforts made from the transition of a 65 year plus family owned to the more corporate type restaurant. There is still a feel of the "good ol ' Saska's and a very attentive wait staff.
Our waitress was beyond amazing. Food was good, fast service, and the staff was so nice to my daughter who was not the best behaved.
brilliant food in a cosy location. Very unusual for Pacific Beach and worth more visits. We will definitelycome back soon.
Amazing time, great food, great drinks, great service.
Our wait staff, Kristen, Geronimo and the maitre d Ryan were all awesome. we were there New year's Eve and went for the old world style dining and that is exactly what it was. We enjoyed the feel of the old-time steakhouse combined with upscale service and friendly people.
Everything was awesome .
Service was great😁😁😁😁
I made a reservation and in error we arrived on the incorrect day. Although we did have a short wait ( as expected ) our party of 8 was accommodated. Our waiter was friendly, and the food was delicious.
For 17 years we have gone to Saska’s and experienced great food however, it is best if you make reservations for 2 or more in party. Singles/pairs can sit at their bar to eat, but wait times may get long. The signature drinks are fun to try as well. We love the deep red leather booths, it reminds us of the old steak houses. The Mac & Cheese could be a decadent meal on its own❣️❤️❣️ We also like that “happy hour” is twice a night! For that night of beef or seafood, sports or conversation, drinks and cheer...SASKA’S, Pacific Beach, Ca
Great Food - like an old time Steak place. Wait staff was excellent
I had filet mignon medium rare— really good/ husband had prime rib cooked to his liking and he said it was better than previously. Only complaint was they served us both Brussels sprouts - they said that’s their seasonal vegetable— you don’t get a choice. We both dislike them — but otherwise a very good meal. Excellent wait staff.
We spent the week at Mission Beach, and found Saska's on Tuesday night.....loved it so much we came back again on Saturday! Terrific everything, great staff, We'll be back next time we're in town
I'm sure there is a reason; however, it would have been nice to have the giant fireplace going for a more cozy ambiance in the dining room.
Been going to Saska’s for 50 years, never a disappointment
Service is great, ambiance is lounge, exactly what I wanted. Unfortunately, I got sick from the food. Will take me some time to return.
Tasteful food and excellent service.
I was not sure what to expect upon entering and we were happily pleased with the entire restaurant.
This was I think the worst restaurant ever. My husband got sick immediately upon leaving. Just horrible!
Same quality food and service that's been there for years. I love the atmosphere and location. I'll be back to this "go to" restaurant.
Good service and good food! Missed having the valet there
I've never been disappointed eating here. Their steaks are always perfect.
Awesome food and great atmosphere! Well done on the remodel
The food was very good, I can't remember the last time we had a twice baked potato. We love the "old school" vibe. It was very clubby and cozy.
Good bar, average steaks, very good service in a well known and popular “old world” ( in the positive sense) establishment.
It's wonderful to have such a top quality steak house in Pacific Beach. Saska's never disappoints. We try to get the big red booth in the bar area when we come with friends. The steaks are great, the prime rib perfect and the twice baked potato is awesome. The honey blue cheese dressing is not to be missed.
Very good food from starters through entries. Reasonable prices for high quality food.
Was an amazing meal with an intimate atmosphere. Fantastic service and overall experience!
Great waiter as always. Food is overpriced for what you get. Chicken was tough and rubbery, burger was rare even though ordered medium. The cheesecake was great, but the fact that they put frozen berries on top made the plate watery when they melted, so it soaked the dessert and made the crust mooshy. Waste of money. If the restaurant emerges again after its month off of “kitchen renovations”, I hope they hire cooks that know how to cook well. This place used to be so good but in the last 2 years has really gone down the tubes. RIP Saskas.
Great quiet atmosphere! The food was outstanding and our table of 8 was no problem for them to handle. Yhe food was outstanding and a great menu to pick from.
The food was very good. Although there weren’t many people in the restaurant our service was very poor
It was a very pleasant experience. Would have preferred smaller portions. Steak was done to perfection.
Service great sirloin great. Bone in rib eye not worth $20 but I played $45
My wife and I went for our 30th wedding anniversary. The ambiance was quiet and lovely. The staff let us pick our own table where we would be most comfortable. We started with appetizers and a retro bourbon drink and they were made to perfection. The staff did not rush us as the restaurant was getting very busy! Next, our entrees came and again could not have been prepared any better! My wife got the seared scallops and were the best scallops she ever had, as she is a seafood aficionado having worked in fish companies and markets for the past 25 years. I got The 10 oz sirloin and enjoyed it very much! It was a wonderful evening and will always be remembered by both of us.
Great place, great service very accommodating. Great food.
We really enjoyed and hope to come back when I'm down here again
Had the Filet and it was tender and flavorful. Cooked just right. Great service and finished with three scoops of ice cream with chocolate and caramel sauce.
Been coming here for years. We like some of the changes and not others. Food and service is always good, though. Please consider putting your fried zucchini back on the menu and try and get back to the original honey blu salad dressing. I really miss the original. I also miss “the carpetbagger”steak. And the teriyaki too sirloin was good too.
The steak and prime rib is excellent and the sides were also delicious.
Wait staff only seems to care about parties of 4 or more people. Food was good but nothing special. This was my second and last visit to this restaurant.
Really cute at first glance but as I look further this restaurant has an amazing potential to be a legendary spot.
Food was really good but nothing extrodinary, nor do I think that is what they are going for. Staying with the normal non froofie, confort food & traditional steak house menu selections. Love the old school steak house feel and apprecieate the local vibe but new floring & fireplace in the DR would really be cool (:
The bar area would be perfect for some live music
Food was great, service was impeccable! We had dinner with friends, and we had a wonderful time! Thanks!!!
Thoroughly enjoyed our old school charm of the restaurant
We loved the history and certainly will be going back
This was a great place for a nice quiet, romantic birthday dinner. We thoroughly enjoyed the food and the staff was phenomenal.
