Amazing staff, great food and I couldn’t ask for much more!!
Have been to Perla a few times first time here for the Kayman dinner. Food was amazing, great staff, and a really positive experience. HIGHLY RECOMMEND
Server was attentive and the food was authentic! If you order the ube french toast, I think 1 is enough to share between 4 people; it's very delicious but heavy in my opinion :)
With all that is going on with Covid-19 Saravida does a fine job with compliance. There was a temperature check at the door prior to being seated and everyone there was wearing a mask or face shield while working. The food was excellent and the ube french toast was very addicting. We will definitely be back in the near future!!!!!
First time eating Filipino food and it did not disappoint!! You definitely get a good value for the pre-fixe menu. My boyfriend and I got the two protein option and felt like it could feed at least 3 people! We got the fish and chicken. I wish I had learned about Filipino cuisine earlier! My boyfriend got the calamansi drink and it was very refreshing and citrusy without being heavy. 10/10 would come again and would come again with a group of friends!
First time experiencing Filipino food & it wont be the last. Interestingly different and tasty. Great rolls !!
Food was distinctive and served beautifully. The special spring rolls and snow pea greens were outstanding. The chicken thighs and pork skewers were also good. Loved the pompano fish too. Small menu but everything was delicious. They encourage you to
share the small and large plates. New and modern surroundings with an excellent server.
Sarvida is a great neighborhood spot. It's often not crowded (though not empty either) and the food has not disappointed the handful of times I've been there (or ordered takeaway during the COVID pandemic). I really enjoy the modern, higher-end take on classic Filipino dishes. Service is always great as well.
Small portions for moderately expensive prices. I almost laughed at the portion sizes for the longanisa, but the food was very delicious.
Sarvida was pretty good, but the restaurant was incredibly smoky from the open kitchen layout. Food was good, but really heavy and fatty. Highlights were the pork shoulder and fried sweet potato plate. Service was great, and it's BYOB.
I loved the food and had a good time. What else does one want from a dining experience!
Traditional Filipino fare with an upscale twist, the food at Sarvida was absolutely delicious. I especially enjoyed the lechon. The skin was super crispy!
The atmosphere was very intimate and homey. There is no separation between the kitchen and the restaurant floor. This allows the wonderful smells of all the cooking to waft through the dining space. Really makes your mouth water while you're waiting for your food.
The service was great. The staff was very attentive and our server was very knowledgeable about the food. Whether it's your first time trying Filipino food or it's something you grew up with, I highly recommend checking out Sarvida.
Service is outstanding. After a little food mixup, the servers provided us with (a lot of) extra food and drinks. Usually most restaurants would apologize and move on, but Sarvida went out of its way to provide excellent service and very tasty food.
Extremely noisy, so very hard time talking. Very smoky. My clothes smelled afterward. It was cold and drafty. The decor and feel was cold and harsh. Food was good. But not great.
This was our second time at Sarvada, and a much different service experience. The first time was incredible, every detail was perfect. This time was different The waitress was obsessed with upselling us and was visibly frustrated and verbally shamed us for not ordering enough food. She made snide comments and completely abandoned serving us once the food was delivered. We would have ordered dessert but didn't get a chance to. I had to eventually exit the table to get her to cash us out at the hostess stand.
Second time there and just as good as the first time. Every bite was delicious. Menu is fairly small but we still felt there are plenty of choices. Will be back again!
Chicken and pork silog was overly sweet, lacking spice.
Moved to Philly from Manila and this is the best filipino food I've had so far!
We had a delightful experience at Sarvida, and are thrilled to see more variety in options popping up in our neighborhood. Wonderful service and delicious food. My only hesitation in giving this spot higher marks is the ventilation system is just not strong enough to keep you from walking out smelling like smoky grease. It actually kind of hits you in the face when you walk in. Makes some sense as it is an open kitchen but an adjustment to the environment here would be welcome. In the end though, the cuisine and friendly servers are what will keep us coming back and I will also absolutely recommend this lovely little spot to others.
There were four of us, so we got to order practically everything on the menu, and nothing we had was anything short of delicious. Modern presentation of traditional Filipino food and ingredients. Sparkling flavors and very high quality ingredients.
amazing take on filipino food and the staff is nice and courteous. will definitely be back!
We were so excited to try this place because of the consistent good reviews, but we were underwhelmed. Some of the flavors didn’t jive with us and we didn’t feel like we had any stand out dishes.
Food was great. I wish the menu was a little more descriptive for those of us who aren't totally familiar with Filipino food. I didn't know all of our dishes would be fried. I'm ok with fried food, and everything we had was good, but I definitely would have switched a couple of meals like the ukoy (fried sweet potato strings--my least favorite of all the dishes). My only gripes are that the place is very loud and very brightly lit--it almost felt like we were eating in a cafeteria. We went for date night and was hoping for a dimmer, more romantic vibe. I would rather go with my crew of loud girlfriends instead of my husband. Food made it worth it, however. The snapper and lumpiang were very tasty. Service was excellent.
The inside was cold because a window had to be left open to allow the smoke from the kitchen to dissipate. The escabeche fish was overcooked to the point of being inedible.
Service was friendly.
Fantastic and different meal!
Awesome -great food, nice atmosphere. Jason looked after us!
I took family, who were visiting, for brunch. We enjoy enjoyed everything. Quick and friendly service. Food was even better! I will be coming back again for sure.
Food is super tasty. You have to be adventurous if you come here because the descriptions really don’t explain what will be served. It was so yummy, but very carb heavy and a lot of fried elements. Definitely good for a treat. We went as a group of 5 and it was fun to try lots of the dishes. My stomach was a little angry with me afterward, so I won’t be able to eat there often, but I’d happily go back when guests are in town.
My friend and I enjoyed Sarvida for Brunch. She is a native Filapino and wanted to see how the food stacked up.
We both ordered the fried fish, garlic rice and 2 eggs as well as the pork sausage - of which I forget the name! Our meals were very good. My friend also thought that they got it right with the taste and flavors of the Philippines.
The coffee was not as good as we thought it could be. That is our only complaint!
Went with another couple on a busy Saturday night. Service was great. Server was very attentive despite a packed restaurant. Food came out as ready and was delicious. We probably over-ordered but it was all quite good. Highlights were the chicken dish and also a veggie dish in fish sauce. On top of all that - they inadvertently gave our packed leftovers to another couple so they made us an entire new fish to take home. Big thumbs up. Definitely recommend.
I had high expectations for this place but the food was lackluster and bland.
After reading reviews, I expected more than a dinner atmosphere. The food was relatively good, and service adequate.
You can smell the garlic rice from blocks away!! The atmosphere was relaxed and bright while service was friendly and prompt. The longanisa and tocino plates were super flavorful and filling. We will definitely be back to try the French toast!
Get four people, order the whole menu everything is amazing
Great introduction to Indonesian cuisine. Delicious and excellent value
We had an incredible dinner here last evening. Some of the best Filipino food we have ever had! From the pig tails to the pancit to the halo halo everything was fresh and delicious! We can see why they were voted one of the best new restaurants in the country. Get here while you can! #droolworthy #gaygourmands #lovefilipinofood
So happy to have this new gem in our neighborhood. Amazing food and service. Made our birthday celebration feel special! Can’t wait to return.
Can't wait to go back to this place with friends. We loved everything we ordered.
