About Sardinia Enoteca Ristorante

One of the most authentic and exciting restaurants to open in Miami Beach in ages, this ultra-friendly restaurant has made fast friends of the neighborhood around Sunset Harbor. The young staff is exceptionally knowledgeable and helpful. Highlights on the lengthy menu of rustic dishes include spaghetti bottarga, orecchiette with wild boar sausage and nearly melted broccoli di rabe pesto. Salt-crusted branzino, prepared in the wood-burning oven, is a masterpiece. The fantastic, value-priced wine list is always a winner. Best to go with a crowd and share a platter of thinly sliced meats and cheeses with vegetables roasted in the wood-burning oven. Order a plate of crackly rosemary carasatu bread, too. Desserts, like the millefoglie with nutella and pastry cream, are as addictive as this new hot spot.

Sardinia is always good. On Open Table you can select inside or outside tables and since we had our dogs, it was no ce to know we could be accommodated. Highly recommend starting with a cheese plate.

So, I had made reservations for outside but when we got there, there was a foul smell so happily the restaurant could accommodate us inside.
The noise level was enormous. But that seems to be the case everywhere. I guess that’s why all my 60+ years old friends go out to dinner at6!
The food was delicious. Some dishes better than others. The octopus, the sole and the rabbit where delicious. Ironically, it was the pasta dishes that were off.
The wine was very good and reasonable priced. Although there were not that many choices under $80-90.
And the best part were the desserts. We ordered 3: crema catalana, lemon sorbet, and Mille feuille. There were all 3 very well made. Although the sorbet was more of a lemon mousse but delicious.
Our waitress was very accommodating.

Consistently satisfying and unique dining experience. This is not your everyday Italian food and must be experienced to appreciate. The mozzarella platter is incredibly fresh, flavorful, and abundant; enough for an entree with or without sides. Highly recommended.

After frequenting and recommending this restaurant for years a, we returned after a long absence and I am sad to say it has really changed. The appetizers (cheese plate and eggplant parm) were good but the pastas were flavorless (the pesto sauce tasted like chalk, the sausage in another plate tasted as though the flavor was boiled out of it). In addition, the service was non-existent most of the time; our food was even brought out before they cleared the appetizers and the waiter set our food on a table for several minutes by the entrance to wait for the table to be cleared. The woman's bathroom was a tremendous turn-off as it was really littered and on the dirty side.

Food is always outstanding. Straciatelli with roasted peppers, branzino and spaghetti with clams in light broth were all superb. Great selection of wines by the glass as well.

We went on the recommendation of a friend. We parked on the street and walk two blocks to the restaurant. I am not sure if it’s all the time but there was a significant smell coming from the sewers which was unsavory. my wife and both I commented that we would not want to eat outside where they have outside seating because of the smell. that being said we ate inside. we each had wine appetizers, she had the salad with beets, I had the quial, Small plate entrées, she had a pasta special, I had the ravioli with goat cheese and basil. the food was excellent, the ambiance is excellent, but the service was slightly slow at times. We are going to try the one in delray beach as well. Not typical Italian food. Different and good, more Mediterranean.

This used to be our go to Italian. Sat outside on a not busy Monday. Drinks took 15 minutes to arrive. Appetizers: minestrone was Luke warm. Salad was very good. Entrees were brought by a server who never returned with the cheese and black pepper that was requested. The veal with mushrooms and pasta with sausage and rabe pesto were barely warm. Didn’t see a server for about 15 minutes. Told her food was cold and never got cheese and pepper. She offered to get cheese but no comment on cold food. Told manager (Rodrigo) who never apologized, but the waitress offered to buy us coffee and dessert. Just wanted to leave. There are a lot of much better options for Italian food in Miami. How can a place stay in business with a hostile manager?

Eggplant parm appetizer was just oily and tasteless. Not what we expected. The Bronzino Baked in salt was the high point as well as the Fried goat cheese with honey dessert. Lack of attention to detail though was annoying and distracting. Missed that we had OpenTable res and I had to call and remind them to fix it. They advertise a “Happy Hours” wine pricing and were told at the time the check arrived that it was only “at the bar” even though it was clearly on our table menu. The devil is In the details. We have had excellent to mediocre experiences over our visits.

I'm a big fan on Sardinia and be going there on a regular basis since the opening, it has becoming quite expensive for a dish of pasta, but everything is expensive now in Miami and I don't mind as long as the value is there.
I ordered the rabbit, it was a good preparation and I ate it all despite the fact that it was very salty, I told the server who sais to me, I'll tell the chef and nothing, no reply like the chef didn't care.

Past Its Former Glory?

I've been going to Sardinia Enoteca for many years and the food has been consistently good. On my last visit we almost left the restaurant as soon as we arrived, The problem was an astonishingly noisy party/corporate event in the area of the dining room closest to the front door. The noise was deafening and it was only because I'd brought two Australian friends who were in Miami for the night that we decided to stay.

The wood fired oven pizzas are good and the rabbit entree which comes with an abundance of vegetables for very good.

Massimo the longtime manager has apparently moved on, which may explain why the restaurant didn't feel the way it used to. I think the minimum the host who took our reservation could have done was to warn us about the corporate event and its impact on the ambience.

The dishes we were looking forward to, a prix fixe menu with wine for each course (Mare/Sea and Monte/Mountains) was no longer available, which was a disappointment.

We arrived on the early side for a quiet dinner and were seated by a large boisterous party in the midst of festive celebration. Our waitress kindly offered us a table in the (empty) next room. Dinner, service, food and drink were excellent!

Dinner was excellent and everyone was very happy. The fish done in parchment paper was delicious as were the caprese salad and the beet salad. Also, the Caesar salad got very high marks from my friends. The ravioli in butter and sage was phenomenal and the orecchiette pasta was sausage and pine nuts was excellent. The wine of the week selections are always very good choices as well.

Sardinia is one of South Florida's best and most authentic Italian restaurants. It is well managed, the menu is creative and it's refreshing to see a wine list without the same usual suspects of every other restaurant in South Florida. The service is always impeccable, the portions are very fair and the food is always delicious. The only problem is, there are too many great choices! I guess I'll have to return soon!

The place was too loud and it was hard to have a conversation amongst the 6 of us. The food was ok. I especially enjoyed the brasaola and truffle pecorino cheese. We were disappointed to be asked to hurry up by our waiter, even though we hadn't yet been there for 2 hours and still hadn't received our coffee or the check. Never had that happen before. They should not have taken our reservation time if it was going to be like that. He fortunately realized his mistake and greatly apologized, offering us each a limoncello.

Has always been and will always be one of our very favorite restaurants in MIAMI Beach. Wonderful owner, outstanding manager (the always gracious Santiago), and a first class staff. The food is consistently delicious and always completely satisfying. This is a place you can visit several times per week and never grow tired of it. The menu choices are vast from antipasti to pasta to fish to the exquisite bistecca (a must for meat lovers). I go for all that and the broccoli rabe which is made just like my grandmother made it. Perfection!
