Loved it but the escargot was disappointing. Too dry. Not enough butter and garlic. Otherwise we loved everything. Husband was happy you had Jackson Oceania bourdon.
Went there for the signature fried chicken. It was well cooked but soaked in honey — sickeningly sweet. Seafood tower appetizer at $120 was very ordinary — nothing special. Broccoli rabe mushy with a funny taste. The drink menu for “old fashions” was impressive.
What a pleasure to eat out and be able to hear your date! The food was terrific, I had the Dover sole and my husband had the medium cut of smoked prime rib. He also said the Caesar was the best he's ever had. AND THOSE FRENCH FRIES!!!!! I wish we had been hungry enough for dessert as the show would have been worth it, but we weren't.
Incredible food in a great location. The service was incredible.
Sara’s is an exceptional experience all around. Highly recommended !
The prime rib was the best I ever had. It’s pricey but worth it for those special occasions. The service was spectacular. We had just a very special time.
Spectacular value and great service from “T”!! We will definitely be back.
We took advantage of the hidden in plain sight deal for their 1 year anniversary. We were so impressed by the service, food, and cocktails that we will definitely be back again!
Good effort but not well executed the night I was there. From being left in the lobby for 20 minutes with zero update, to being sat next to a table of 10 when there were plenty of other seats, to averagely executed food, it just didn't live up to what it was trying to be.
Great food and great service. We will be back! Thank you for an amazing evening
We came to Sara's for my husbands Birthday. The place is nice in decor and atmosphere. The service was okay. Our waiter described their foie gras as being less "bruised and battered" which I was taken back by. The first two appetizers were excellent. We had the Beef Carpaccio and the Tuna Tartare. However, we were very disappointed in our main courses. I found it odd that in a steak house our server recommended their best entree as the Chicken. In reading the reviews, I suppose I should have listened. My husband ordered the "Surf and Turf". It stated it was "Wagyu beef however, it was tough. We have had Wagyu steak before and this was nowhere near the tenderness we have previously experienced. The "surf" aspect of the meal was this TINY piece of king crab. I had the Scallops. They were so fishy, they were inedible. I didn't want to complain as it was my husbands birthday but I can't say that I will be running back!
The food was good, highly recommend the potato purée. We had crispy bones and seafood tower to start. The crispy bones were so so and the seafood didn’t taste fresh. The ambiance was fantastic. Would I go again? Probably not. Too many other great choices in Vegas!
Sara’s was great! From the service, drinks, and food everything was spectacular. We got the crispy beef bones appetizer that was amazing. For our main course we ordered the Prime Rib 14oz medium rare. It was delicious and perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. We ordered two sides the duck fat fries with garlic aioli and sautéed mushrooms. All of the food was absolutely delicious. A must go to if you are in Vegas. The dining room is small but the decor and atmosphere is great. They had great music playing to set the mood of the dinner.
If you have a “meat-easy” and are going to advertise it as a “special experience”, it needs to be just that! For starters, there are two rooms; a main dining area that it is truly a scene (laughter, music, fun) and an outside area (bathroom, busboys polishing silverware, quiet). We were sat in the later and it felt like we were at the kids table. The service is friendly, but nothing “high end”. The menu is very basic with little to do with master smoking. We had the smoked prime rib which was very nice, but nothing you couldn’t get at Lawlrey’s Steak House. Walking through Mable’s we saw guests feasting on ribs, brisket, and tri tip but none of that was on the menu at Sarah’s. Next time we will eat in the main restaurant and gorge ourselves on the terrific BBQ they produce!
The food was excellent as we expected. The lack of 5-star comes from the service and ambiance. Service started well but after meals were dropped at the table we were never checked on again and in fact we sat waiting for some time with empty glasses and finished plates before check was dropped. The restaurant is very loud. The music is too loud which causes an already rowdy Vegas crowd to only get louder.
Our dinner was outstanding from appetizer to dessert. The crispy bones were recommended by our server. They were amazing. The fried chicken was by far the best I have ever had anywhere. The duck...wonderful. The Dover sole..exceptional! Cherries Jubilee and Bananas Foster were the perfect ending! Service was the best. We highly recommend Sara's! We will be back!
The place was great a little hard to find which I think is the appeal. When we asked employees of the casino where it was they did not know. Food was great and service was great.
I cannot begin to say how wonderful our entire evening at Sara’s was!! It got off to a great start with the young lady who met us at the main check in desk at Mabel’s BBQ. She had a great look and vibe. She took us through the private door into a beautifully decorated intimate dining room. Attention to detail was everywhere. We started with cocktails, appetizers and entrees followed. All were fabulous!! Since it was my and my daughter’s birthday dinner we were treated to Bananas Foster cooked table side by a young man who looked very much like Danny Glover’s son, Donald!! Go, experience, enjoy this gem!! We definitely will return!
Outstanding food and service in reasonably quiet and sophisticated atmosphere. We had the prime rib and the surf & turf....both were wonderful. The caesar and the endive salads were excellent, as was the mushroom side. And bananas foster for dessert was a fantastic conclusion to a great meal.
Honestly did not know what to expect prior to go into this place, is very well impressed upon entering. Just wow, Chestnut soup is something worth experiencing
Last night in Vegas and the staff at Sara’s made it special.
An absolutely incredible experience!!!! Beautiful space, wonderful food and cocktails, excellent service. Already looking forward to the opportunity to go again.
My 53 birthday dinner with my parents who are very picky about their food. Mom and Dad have been here since 1966 just months before I was born and seen and eaten at almost every “it” spot in Vegas since the 60’s. As he finished his Dover Sole, Dad said, “best meal ever in Vegas!” And not very often would I say go to a gourmet place for fried chicken, but Dang if that’s not the best fried chicken ever!!! Cannot recommend this place highly enough!!! Well played Mr. Symon!!! We will definitely be back and cannot wait to use my “coin”! 😉
So this is coming from someone who was already a Michael Symon fan. I loved the ambiance of the restaurant. Here is my breakdown of food: baked oysters were outstanding, the hamachi tartare was fishy, the fried chicken with the extra $20 truffles was good but definitely not worth the $65 and the $50 duck wasn’t great either—they only gave you 3 tiny slices of it and the majority of it was tough!! To top it off, we ordered the bananas foster, which I can make a much better one at home and crepes with “Nutella.” The desserts were not great for the $20 per piece price tag!!! The most disappointing thing though was the fact that everyone knew it was our anniversary and they still didn’t send us a dessert or write happy anniversary on the $40 worth of desserts that we ordered. Overall, I was disappointed in his restaurant. And, the restaurant was about 1/4 full so you would expect the service to be top notch, but it wasn’t.
Atmosphere is awesome along with the concept of the restaurant. Our service from the main waiter was just ok. They did bring some sample appetizers out and that was a nice touch. The prime rib was too rare and had a smoked flavor. For the price Wasn’t worth it and we are ok if we don’t go back. These high end steakhouses are all the same. Our favorite is still SW inside Wynn
We enjoyed Sara‘s on Thanksgiving. The staff was very attentive and everything we expected based on past reviews. The cocktails were quality and definitely go for the bananas fosters. Made our own surf and turf platter with prime rib split and the seared scallops. Wow!
Sara‘s is not as much of a speakeasy as we thought though in terms of being unknown location. It’s clearly marked throughout The Palms. Regardless, highly recommend. Sara‘s is the highlight of this trip to Vegas for us.
Room and ambiance was nice. Nice selection of cocktails and wine. Wide range of affordable wines. The service was beginner level, not on par for what is supposed to be a more upscale establishment. Prime rib was just okay. The truffle chicken was decent, but I expected something great after seeing many rave reviews of it.
Eat here. Don't ask questions- and if you're a cheapo, go someplace else. This place rocks!
Food was amazingly delicious and well portioned.
Beef bones were great but messy lol, the fried chicken is some of the best in Vegas. Great fry on the skin.
Also dessert was great we got the bananas foster
From the minute we checked in we were treated wonderfully! A lovely fine dining experience in a smaller space made it a wonderful get away from the noise and flash of Vegas for a few hours. We were greeted with a cocktail taster, promptly ordered a specialty cocktail and spent time with the waiter going over the menu. I was pleased to know the seafood tower items could be ordered ala carte, as the entire tower was too much for two if we wanted a meal. We has escargot casino, a half dozen oysters, split a Cesar salad and then had prime rib and surf and turf for our main course. Each item was delicious.
We had a late reservation and the restaurant was only about half full. Due to that, my only complaint was we were seated at a tiny table for two and wish they had put us at one of the empty four tops instead as it would have allowed both of us to have a full view of the lovely restaurant (poor hubby had his back to the place all evening). Other than that, it was a memorable meal in a lovely spot with impeccable service. I will definitely recommend to others.
LOVE!! Everything I ate was phenomenal!! Smoked prime rib with crab béarnaise , truffle chicken, duck fat fries, broccoli rabe, bananas foster ... even the homemade dinner rolls ... super yum! Everyone on staff was fabulous!!
Sara's was bit of a disappointment. It was the resto that couldn't. First let me say the flavors were all really good but the execution was lacking. The appetizer qas excellent (fried bones) but a tad cold. The crab meat served with the halibut was akso too cold, like just out of fridge cold. Hard to eat hot and cold food together. The prime rib was supposed to cut in front of us but it came out from the kitchen, it was also much larger then we ordered. It was obvious it was a cancelled or miss-cut order. It was probably just an off night but when you charge as much as they at Sara's your expectations are that much higher
