It was a little disappointing. Had a reservation for three people and stuck us at a table for two... food was bland, table was crowded with cups and plates. Would not go back to this location.
Went for weekend brunch. Food was good and services was excellent. At brunch time, it is very noisy. Otherwise a nice experience. (Bathrooms are down a flight of stairs, in case anyone has mobility issues.)
Courteous service and good food, albeit pricey. The ambience would have been excellent if not for the loudness created by a packed restaurant. I can't suggest what to do about the noise.
As usual, Sarabeth’s was a delicious and reliable dinner out. We were there early and it was quiet and relaxed. The waitstaff couldn’t have been more attentive or friendly. It’s a great go-to place.
We are friends who love to enjoy a good meal while we have a wonderful time talking together. The service was wonderful, the suggestions perfect and the food delicious. Even better, after the meal we stayed talking and were never encouraged to leave.
Everyone said their meal was terrific
Enjoyed the food, staff, and ambiance of Sarabeth’s. Looking forward to dining here again on my next visit to NYC!
I made a reservation for 12:45, and we weren’t seated until nearly 30 minutes later. Restaurants should honor reservations or not take them at all.
I have always loved & will continue to go to Sarabeth’s. The wait time is better with the benefit of Open Table, but the wait is still long with a reservation. But the food is delicious and once our food is served, you manage to forget about the wait.
Too expensive for what it is.
Lemon ricotta pancakes are incredible- best pancakes I have ever had!!!
Service was slow; salads were good, but my sea scallops with fettucine & broccoli rabe was too buttery. Also, for $26, I only get 3 scallops?? The restaurant was near empty and I think pricing and service are the cause.
Great service for a Sunday brunch with friendly staff and delicious food. It was packed so be sure to make a reservation.
Excellent as always
Great to go with kids!
Thanks, excellent experience
Excellent food (even for the prices); long wait, but worth it. Despite having expanded to multiple locations in the city, Sarabeths still retains exceptional standards of quality.
I love Sarabeth's but was disappointed in the potato waffle; undercooked. The bloody mary had so much salad in it it was very messy to drink.
Visiting NYC and always make it a point to stop in for breakfast.
Room loud but had table in the back that worked. Service good and did not rush us. Food arrived promptly. Went back the next day to have their kale Caesar Salad again. Strip steak was excellent. Real bistro steak frites.
My friends and I were in the City for a special trip to Lincoln Center to see My Fair Lady, so we were looking for someplace cute to grab an early lunch, and we were so happy with Sarabeth’s Amsterdam Avenue location!. Delicious coffee and the lemon ricotta pancakes were a big hit! Friend # 3 had the French toast with whipped cream and strawberries, another rave review. This is a perfect gem!
Great place to take my mom who is strictly gluten free, as well as my child. Delicious risotto! Kids menu was great.
The noise level was disturbing along with the service. Coffee and food was barely warm when served. Might be because it was a Sunday afternoon but still very disappointing.
The restaurant was not crowded for lunch but the service was truly terrible. I ordered a kale caesar salad, which consisted of kale and very few croutons with grated parmesan on the side, for $14. The kale was not stemmed or chopped - even a bit, and could have come right out of a bag. My friend ordered an omelette, which was okay. The waitress breezed by, asking if everything was okay without waiting for a reply. Getting the bill was a challenge. We've been there before for breakfast, which is always crowded and we never had such poor service or such a paltry dish. Won't try this Sarabeth's again.
Birthday dinner with family. The service and food was fabulous and so much that we decided to have breakfast the next meeting.
I came here for late breakfast and it was just ok. Very busy, reservations are a must. Staff just wasn't very friendly overall, but they were very busy. I ordered the ricotta pancakes and added eggs and bacon. The pancakes were just ok - nothing spectacular. Eggs and bacon were very good, as was the coffee. Overall, a bit overpriced for what you get, even for NYC.
The food was fantastic!! I had the eggs Benedict and it was super tasty. Not very big portions, though. Coffee was really good and kept coming! Service was great and people were friendly. Loud and bustling around brunch time.
Sarabeth’s continues to have the tasty comfort food it’s been famous for a long time. Unfortunately, the service was uneven. Our lead server was very helpful and knowledgeable, but the assistants were still getting up to speed. They tried to deliver the wrong entree to me, and when the right one (chicken pot pie) came, it was cold, instead of hot like it should be. Still recommend it overall, but you need to be patient with the service. It’s not a place to go for a quick lunch.
Love Crispy potato waffle
I know this place is known for the brunch.
It was quite empty for dinner. So, I don’t understand why they gave us a very small table.
The food was amazing, though.
Very nice place to stop and dine when in the upper west side. We were on the early side on a weekday so there were not a lot of people in the restaurant, but the service was impeccable and the ambiance of the dining room was excellent - promising even if you are there on a Friday or Saturday night. The menu (for both drinks and food) is relatively small, but with excellent choices and specials). A great stop after an afternoon of museums.
The pancakes lemon pancakes were to die for but the eggs Benedict were nothing to write home about , their hollandaise sauce was lacklustre and I definitely wouldn’t re order ( even though I’m a Benedict lover) . The servers were very nice aside from that over rated.
place almost empty but the service was VERY slow ....i feel the quality is going down
30 minute wait to sit even though we had a reservation!
Service and food were great! The business meeting transpiring next to our table, obnoxious! But rude people, oblivious to other customers are everywhere...
Our meal was very good but not extraordinary.
The prix fix dinner has a limited numbe rof choices, but is an good buy for $29 for three courses.
The baby kale Caesar salad was fresh and generously sized.
The scallop entree was heavy on the garlic, and the scallops were not as fresh as they should have been.
The fish and chips and fresh fish. The panko crust was crispy but on the heavy side.
Decent meal, but I won't be rushing back.
They are better for brunch.
It was delicious and light food in a cozy ambience.
Dinner and service were great! Will go again!
Sarabeth is always pretty reliable for a good brunch. The four flowers drink was really tasty, as was the French toast. Also had the burger that was just ok. Good scene, but rather overpriced for the food.
