Disappointing - my Cesar salad had the 3 lettuce cores in it. I found the restaurant dirty and fruit flies bothered us. Not worth the price

Sunday breakfast was quite disappointing. This location did a very poor job with the food. Lower Manhattan and west side locales far better. “Green and white” eggs and lox and eggs dishes overwhelmed with cream cheese. Three pepper potatoes were underwhelming and seemed mass produced elsewhere — and not cooked well (mushy, not crisp as usual; tiny overcooked pieces of peppers and onions). Muffins on smaller side.

We waited an hour and 20 minutes to he served after the waiter ignored us or assured us it was “five more minutes”. The excuse was that they had a party going on. But others received their orders. We had an event that had to get to and we all had lass than 5 minutes to eat. We ordered the prix fix hut had i no o tome for dessert. No apologies no offer of even one free entree. Sent us packing with a paper bag of cookies. Never again

Had tomato soup, crabmeat guacamole, a few salads and some iced teas. Soup and tea were the highlights. No gluten free options. Everything else was forgettable, as we must have been to the waitstaff. Hardly saw our waiter. Would not come back on a return visit to the city.

Creamy tomato soup was just that, creamy and excellent. The omelette was excellent as was the accompanying biscuit. Salad was a little dry and served on a plate slightly small for all of it, although it was not a particularly large salad. The waitstaff was efficient, not particularly welcoming. This is a good place to have lunch. It is a large room with a lot of tables, sunlit in the front part of the room, and clean.

The dining area was beautifully appointed, with high ceiling and lavish (faux) floral arrangements, but still maintaining a feeling of informality. The staff was very friendly and efficient. We were headed for a lecture at the Guggenheim after dinner, and our plates appeared quite rapidly, without any special prompting, so I assume they are used to a pre-concert or other event crowd. The menu had a number of interesting choices and they were responsive to a number of special requests on the items we ordered, without any delay in service. Prices seemed a little steep, but perhaps that's just because I've become used to dining out in Westchester these days. There were not a lot of other diners there on a Sunday evening, but I understand it can be quite crowded for Sunday brunch.

I usually love this restaurant but boy was I disappointed. The omelette that I had which was simple - the Farmers Omelette had no taste and later that evening I was sick to my stomach. In addition we were there for brunch and they did not have one muffin left. The worst thing though was that the people next to us had a water glass with lipstick on their table when they arrived. When they told one of the servers he removed it and gave them a new one but put the dirty one on someone else’s clean table!!! It was disgusting and I will not return.
