Tanoshii (meaning delightful in Japanese) is the latest expansion by Chicago Sushi Legend, Chef Mike Ham. He is known to most as Sushi Mike and has been featured in Eater Chicago, Chicago Food Magazine and Chicago Tribune.

We are known for our Omakase style of dining in a unique and creative take on Japanese cuisine, making it stand out from the rest.
Our aim is to serve a lasting memory to our customers by creating a new interactive and engaging dining experience,

Best Sushi in the Northwest Suburbs, hands down. The Shiitake Roll is the best tasting Sushi Roll I have ever had! Must order, when you go!

The hibachi food was very bland and not worth the price. We had to ask the cook to add some salt. In addition , we added some soy sauce, that they gave us with our sushi rolls, to give it some taste. Cook barely spoke English and it was very hard to understand him. We will not be returning!

We may have been the only family in the restaurant. The staff was amicable and attentive. The food is delicious, and the portion sizes were large, so come with an appetite.

Highly recommend! The food was delicious and the service was excellent. We ate at on of their hibachi tables and our chef was very entertaining.

We live very close to the restaurant but this was our first time trying it as we previously frequented a different hibachi establishment. I read reviews on this restaurant which looked promising. My birthday is a week after my fiancé’s so we wanted to celebrate together, my mother, father and brother took the two of us and our 7 year old daughter yesterday. I had made the reservations and requested a chef that was repeatedly praised online. When we arrived we were seated right away with friendly faces. The staff was amazing and so sweet. We did get the chef I had heard such good things about, his name is ROI. He was absolutely fantastic. He made our experience fun and definitely memorable! Very talented on his craft and personable. Had the entire family laughing and smiling the entire time, especially our 7 year old, that really warmed our hearts. The waitress was happy to take our pictures and laugh with us as well! Everyone was great. The food is absolutely fantastic! The restaurant is clean and beautiful. Side note, thank you as well to the lovely couple who sent us the pina colada’s for everyone at our table to help us celebrate! Thank you again Roi and everyone who helped make our celebration special. We will definitely be dining here often.
