Every time that I've visited Savannah for the past 15 years, Sapphire Grill has been a "must do" on my list of places to eat. This time was no exception, but I will say it was the first time I came away feeling that I'm not sure I'd want to go back. The server acted like he didn't really want to be there at all and our food, although beautifully presented, was VERY under-seasoned. It was as though they ran out of salt in the kitchen and thought no one would notice if the food was pretty. I'm 3 days out and I'm still disappointed that 2 of us spent $150 on dinner and we both were horribly disappointed. I'm just hoping it was an "off night" in the kitchen and not a sign of the how the restaurant is going to be from here out.

Great food and drink, friendly service, a memorable evening. On the downside, pretty pricey, and some small gaps in server attentiveness. But I'd go back again for a special event.

The evening was lovely. The maitre'd was attentive. It was a birthday dinner and the chef sent a VERY pretty and tasty dessert out. The salmon was quite different. The asparagus was a little tough. The beverages were VERY alcoholic. The bartender did an excellent job. I had a Mule and an Irish coffee.

Always order the calimari...best we've ever had. Scallops were also perfectly cooked and delicious!

Our first visit as we were recommended to try it. The service was excellent but I felt the food was not exceptional as I had expected. I had the crab cakes with soup to start with and the soup was only lukewarm, I had the fish served over a bed of vegetables for main course and again the veg was not hot enough but the flavours were quite good. My wife enjoyed both her courses. The wine list was excellent.

The ambience was perfect, the noise level was low, I couldn't have asked for better service. This is one of Savannah's great restaurants.
