Sapori never disappoints! Gnocchi is the best I’ve had in the city
Food was great - Good wine selection. A bit of a wait, even though we had a reservation. No space for people to wait and very small bar (they had us wait with a number of other people in a stairwell). Place is stuffed with tables; so crammed that our chairs were touching the ones occupied behind us. Server seemed very overwhelmed; forgot several things we ordered/asked for like a straw and my salad. Again, the food was good but would not consider again for a "couple's" meal and give it three stars for overall dining experience.
Great food, good vibes
Always have a great time at Sapori. Great food with outstanding service. Will be back soon!
We liked it here. Food was decent and fairly priced. Portions were generous and the atmosphere was old world Italian.
Megan was an awesome waitress.
This is our go-to restaurant after a movie at the Landmark. The food is reliably good and the service is terrific. Always friendly and accommodating. This last time we went with friends who had not been there before and also enjoyed it. One issue though is that the front room and back room can get loud. We were fortunate to be seated in a small side room which was perfect for conversation. The muscles and brussel sprouts salad were terrific as was the salmon dinner that two of us had. One of our friends had a pumpkin ravioli in sage butter sauce that was disappointing. We have had it before and liked it but this time there was almost no sauce. Other than that it was a great dinner and evening. Highly recommended.
Food was very good....huge portions. Loved the decor and atmosphere. Our server was very friendly and attentive. We will definitely go back.
I usually really enjoy this neighborhood trattoria., but most recent visit was a disappointment. The waiter came back to tell me they didn’t have the wine I ordered, so they were brining me the closest thing. That was ok but it was more expensive. We ordered salads. My companions came out, but I waited another 5 minutes and finally asked about it. They brought it, but within another 5 minutes they brought out the entrees. We were all still eating salad, so it was one of those deals where there’s not enough room on the table, so we’re all holding our salad plates in the air trying to finish. The food was good and, to be fair, the waiter gave us a $20 gift certificate, but it expired in a week!
We absolutely love dining at sapori and visit whenever we are in Chicago. Amazing food, service and atmosphere.
My favorite Italian place in the city - great for dates, out of town guests, girls' nights out, family celebrations, etc.
A regular customer. We have never been disappointed
Delicious food and amazing service! They make you feel special.
Excellent. As always. Don't even need the 50 characters but have to satisfy the website.
Great food, great service. It’s a favorite of ours for sure.
Always a great meal. We had great service as well,
As always the food is delicious
Went for anniversary dinner. The specially printed menus for our special day was an awesome touch!
Food was amazing (calamari, Cesar salad, spaghetti and osso buco) and service was great. Will be back for sure!
Amazing as always. This is our absolute favorite neighborhood spot and have been eating here since it opened. Always consistently excellent food, huge portions and approachable menu. Great atmosphere and phenomenal service.
Food was fantastic as always! I had the lamb chops for the first time and they were sooooo good! Great service and atmosphere. I always have a good time when I come here.
This is a classic neighborhood gem. Food is always fantastic with good service and a decent wine list. It isn't pretentious or snooty. Just good Italian comfort food. I recommend the Osso Buco, the Lasagna, and the Scogolio.
As always, dinner was outstanding! Our waitress, Grace, was fun and very knowledgeable of the entire menu and made perfect recommendations. The pasta was amazing! Fresh and so full of flavor. This is my favorite place in the entire city and I have never have a bad experience here. Love it!
I love this quaint little Italian restaurant! If you blink you might pass it but once you’re inside you’re greeted with friendly staff and live music. I love the ambiance, it’s dim lighting and chandeliers hanging with all the chatter of happy patrons enjoying their meal, it really transports you to another place. The food is incredible! The portions are huge and everything tastes so fresh. I have never been disappointed and I’ve ordered something different every time I’ve been there. Definitely a great place for a date, special occasion, or if you are just in the mood for some really good Italian food.
Chef Anthony never disappoints! Best Sicilian food in town!!
I enjoyed the food, service and atmosphere. I want to go back soon!
Found this from a review on tripadvisor. It is our favorite go to in Lincoln Park. Love everything we have tried!
This is our second time here and both times we have experienced the most kind, excellent service providers. In fact on our visit this time, the server we had before remembered us and stopped to say hi on his way by. The food is great, homemade pasta that is the BEST! We have tried several different things (family so sharing) and never disappointed. We have been for the last two birthday celebrations and the desserts are also GREAT! Definitely would recommend this little jewel.
Los platos son de muy buen sabor pero el tamaño es excesivo. La buena comida no necesariamente es de platos grandes
Food was fantastic, octopus, contadina, lasagna and brussel sprout salad were all superb. Service was mediocre at best. Waiter was quite pleasant and attentive. Service was not great, salads came and then hot appetizer moments later. There wasn't room on the table and when I said all at the same time, he just put it on the table and left. Main courses came very quickly. Felt rushed. Servers were unpolished and poorly trained. At one point the person pouring water had her sleeve in my food. If the service matched the food, this would have been a much better dining experience.
We go to Sapori whenever we are in Chicago and it is fantastic every time. From the food to the service, top notch... We highly recommend to all.
Came to dinner after taking family to Blue Man Group matinee - perfect location! As always, food was fabulous and service over the top!
We love coming here. Staff is great. Food is excellent! This our favorite Italian restaurant. Always a nice touch he sends coupons to us. We really enjoy the food and the service.
Excellent food and service
quality of food was amazing and so was the white sangria
This place was delicious! Everything tasted very authentic, even the bread was amazing. My boyfriend got the lobster pasta dish, and I got the gnocchi- you really can't go wrong with either. Our waitress was super sweet and attentive. We went on a Sunday at 7, and every table was taken, which definitely says something!
Family get together
As always loved the food and the service
Despite reservation, seated 40 minutes after. Then, appetizers and entrees were brought to table within 3 minutes of one another, as if they were trying to rush us out.
Had a work associate and wife in town from Brazil. The atmosphere and dinner were excellent. I would definitely come back again.
Wonderful, homemade dishes that were delicious! Great service, and ambiance. We would return on another trip to Chicago!
