Our famous meat lasagna layered in our hearty bolognese sauce with fresh Mozzarella, Provolone, Parmesan and Ricotta
Handmade ravioli stuffed with lobster, shrimp, crab, and seasonal sea food served in a rich tomato cream sauce with a touch of vodka
Food was amazing and it was such a cute outdoor space! Went for a date but would definitely go any day of the week
Wonderful experience. Laid back, comfortable place. Our waiter (Mario?) was fantastic. There when we needed, helpful with questions, but didn't hover over us.
Food was fantastic. High quality ingredients, well prepared, big portions.
We will defitniely go back.
Fantastic food and service. Portions still huge after all these years! Proud to be a long time customer.
Great food. Try the calamari! Loud sirens at times but it’s Chicago
Ricardo and the team made our evening special. Very pleasant outdoor space and a wonderful neighborhood vibe
We went at 4pm on Friday for Happy Hour…however online was wrong and they don’t have HH on Fridays…and they don’t open till 430! But it didn’t matter bc they were more than accommodating and sat us and gave us the HH menu anyway! Such great service and that’s why we keep going back. Sitting outside was delightful and we had a great time.
Our server was AMAZING.
Always great food and great service
We had the octopus (6/10), Caesar salad (8/10) for appetizers. Entrees were gnocchi (7/10) and rigatoni (7/10) Meatballs were not good at all. Dessert was the tiramisu, which was a little dry.
We had 6:00 reservations. The restaurant was mostly empty, but it was early on a Friday night. Our wait-person, Carol, was very nice and knowledgeable about the menu. She checked on us occasionally and we never felt rushed. Appetizers and dinner were fantastic. By the time we left, the place was busy with people waiting outside. I understand why! We will return!
My wife and I are new to the neighborhood and have heard great reviews about this place. It lived up to it's reputation. Our portions were enormous and our server Mike was helpful and attentive. We split a meat lasagna and a rigatoni with tomatoes and mozzarella, and both were delicious! A little noisy, but that's probably the only negative I can give them.
Great food, great service. One of my favorite Italian restaurants in Lincoln Park. Nice selection of Italian wines.
Been coming here for years and Sapori delivers every time.
I felt like I was in Italian café in Italy. The server was kind, hospitable, and helpful in describing the menu items. The food was delicious- lobster ravioli in a light pink cream sauce. Save room for dessert because the tiramisu is about 7’in by 7 in square
Food was good, service was good despite being fairly busy, nice ambiance and good use of space.
Good Italian restaurant. Cute aesthetics inside and felt very cozy - great date night spot! Our server was very friendly, and food was yummy. Would recommend!
Great food, attentive servers, and a restaurant that we would definitely go back to
Amazing as always. Perfect food and amazing service! We’ve been coming here for over 20 years.
Initial thought it was great but then the service was weird. We got sat ordered apps and drinks ans they forgot oil and cheese for the bread. And then we ordered dinner and wine. They brought the food but never got the wine, they also didn’t ever come back we had to flag a food runner down after 25 mins to get a box and then waited about 15 more for anyone to offer the check. We never got the wine and no one apologized for it. It was weird
Amazing service and food. Custom menus for the birthday was a great touch!
Birthday - delicious and fun!
Didn't know about this place - a gem. Awesome food and service. Will be back for sure.
Decent food! Service was scattered, not the waitors fault. I think they're understaffed from COVID
Definite difference post covid. Bread was tough. Avocado bruschetta, not even close to its former self. No table clothes, scaled back menu …. All consequences of shortages, I am sure.
One of my favorite places for 15yrs, I hope they can get fully back on their feet in the coming months.
Nice get together with friends in the tent on the side street. Ossobucco and gnocchi were outstanding. The side of spicy red bell peppers was a nice addition to the fried calamari.
Party of 6 including 2 little kids. We were all well taken care of and enjoyed great food and wine outside on a temperate evening.
Nice wine list.
Each time we go we have an amazing experience. The food is always excellent and the service is always exceptional.
I can’t believe the past reviews. The ambiance, service and food were all disappointing. Cheap crammed together tables. The calamari appetizer was fishy. The main courses were underwhelming. Overall a bad experience. There’s much better food in Chicago.
Amazing place! Food and service are outstanding
This is my favorite Italian restaurant in Chicago
Not an actual Italian restaurant, just the name. Good Spritz to drink and good risotto. Forget about the pasta. Overall not so bad, just a little bit disappointed for the expectation. Nice place to go sometimes
Nice outdoor seating. Love this place!
Fantastic food and everyone is going to need a takehome box for the inevitable leftovers!
Always good and consistent quality. Excellent service. All staff very friendly.
We really had a nice time and a great meal here. The service was excellent--attentive and friendly. I wish I knew his name so I could add it here. The Spaghetti Barese was so good--the veal meatballs were perfect and I want the recipe for their sauce! My husband had the mushroom risotto and enjoyed it very much. The wine list had good choices with some being very reasonably priced. We are from the burbs but if we are in the city again, we would definitely go there!
The fried calamari and burrata appetizers were great. Same for the sea bass and ossobuco. The Brussel sprouts were not up to par. Service was good. We ate in an outdoor bubble which was really good.
Mike M was a terrific server. Food was very good.
We celebrated my partners birthday with his close friends. Everything was great and we especially loved the personalized menu!
