The carefully curated menu features traditional Italian delicacies like pasta and pizza, some secret Sicilian gems, few hand-picked family recipes such as Matarocco sauce, home baked desserts including classic pistachio cannoli and the best Italian wines. Sapori D’Italia offers classic Italian fare in typical Sicilian setting, warm and fuzzy like the comfort of an Italian home.
Food and service was amazing! Very authentic. I would highly recommend.
I knew it would be active on a Saturday evening and for a small space, it certainly was. Those who dropped in without a reservation were turned away. Most who appeared with a reservation were promptly seated. Nonetheless, I felt like I was tying up a table for the next reservation and hurried my experience. The waitstaff did not hurry me along, to their credit; they were very gracious.
The food was delicious, and fast. Most enjoyable. I was disappointed to learn my wine selection was not available, but the alternate offered was a suitable replacement.
The service was most attentive and not at all invasive.
I recommend it to couples and up to parties of six with a reservation.
It’s was great! I went on Valentine’s Day with a few friends, we had made reservations a few days before . We didn’t have to wait, the food came out quickly and they didn’t rush us at all. The sangria was amazing, not too strong. Meatballs were so good!! The space is a little tight but other than that, we will definitely go again!
Charming restaurant, excellent food., attentive & friendly service. The table felt cramped. There is no buffer from the wind when the door opens. I would return, however.
It is a casual restaurant. We had late lunch. It was perfect for the occasion.
I was looking for an Italian American experience and the place was highly recommended by trip advisor. All the staff was Latin America and the vegetables in my orecchiette tasted like Chinese food. It was not bad, just not a good Italian American place.
We all thoroughly enjoyed dining at this restaurant. The food was excellent. The service was excellent. Just a lovely little neighborhood restaurant. Nothing pretentious. Just a lovely place to dine.
Food is great- my husband is from Italy and he really liked it. Service was awesome- really enjoyed my experience overall!
I love this little place. The food is fantastic and the wine is completely worth every penny. I've gotten numerous dishes here and it has all been fantastic. Can't wait to come back.
Touristy. Definitely not what we were expecting.
The cocktails were also not very good, and overpriced. Service was awful.
Absolutely delicious pasta and affordable. Loved it
Amazing diner . On New Year’s Eve with all the caution and careful associated . Recommended
Nice but by far to small restaurant in Little Italy with absolutely no italian atmosphare. Good kitchen however.
Always good. My favorite Italian restaurant when visiting NYC.
Loved the food, decor, service and atmosphere would definitely return
Great ambience, food and spectacular service.
La comida es excelente; proporcional al servicio desatendido.
Great experience ranging from the atmosphere, service and food. We had the charcuterrie board, the caprese salad in addition to our main meals which were out of this world.
Thanks for a great night guys.
Excellent, authentic food. Great service. Definitely recommend!
The service was really good.... the wine was so Italian and they had gluten free pasta which made my day... my BF enjoyed the meat balls... the tiramisu was excellent... the restaurant doesn’t look fancy from the outside but go in you won’t be disappointed
Thoroughly enjoyed the meal and our waitress was attentive and pleasant.
Vincenzo helped with food and wine choices and even had some special dishes prepared for us. Everything was wonderful, from the food to the service to the conversation just a fantastic night.
It was freezing, felt rushed through our meal. Food was okay
A small spot with some of the best Italian dishes I've had. I will definitely be back.
Great food but the place is too small and cramped. Hard to navigate to your table.
We choose this restaurant based on its good reviews which it clearly deserves.
I made an early birthday reservation for my husband for the start of a mini vacation from southern California.
We love Little Italy and we visit NYC every other year.
The staff was friendly and we were seated on time.
I ordered the spaghetti El pesto pomodoro and my husband ordered the tagliateller all ragu. I love how light, yet flavorful the pesto dish was. I typically can't finish a full dish but this was a perfect portion. My husband said the rich and meaty ragu was fantastic. The bread was also amazing! I think we had two baskets, which I ate a majority of. We had the meatball appetizers and I swear when I go back to NYC I'll have two orders! The sauce on the meatballs left me trying to figure out how to copy the recipe. It was perfection.
We shared 1 bottle of Chianti which went down easy.
We were celebrating an early birthday for both of us and the tiny tables for two made for the perfect date night.
We did have dessert which we had no problem cleaning our plates but I can't recall what we ordered and we inhaled it so I didn't get a photo. We dined here on November 19.
Just what we were hoping for - good food - quaint and sort of quiet. Felt like a favorite spot !
Nice place in Little Italy, close to Chinatown. A small location but there are quite many places to sit. Cosy. Nice. We liked it a lot. We ate the lasagne both. It was ok-good.
This is a cozy spot that feels as Brooklyn as Little Italy. Highlights: charming Italian market decor and quick service. Good wines by the glass. I had the linguine vongole and the sauce was super flavorful. Oddly the spaghetti itself was not great--maybe they need to upgrade the quality of the dried pasta? A nice choice for Little Italy when you don't want the tuxedo'd all-male waiter experience.
Absolutely amazing! Fresh, authentic Italian food was what I wanted and is exactly what we got. Highly recommend going.
The food is delicious especially the Lasagna! The waiter and owner are always friendly and on top of making sure you, the customer, is completely happy. We absolutely love this restaurant.
Great Sicilian neighborhood place! Food was wonderful and authentic. I would come back again.
A-MAZING! It was the most perfect meal for our NYC trip! The service could not have been better and the food was five star! Everything from the meat and cheese board, to my spaghetti and lasagna! We will be back and don’t hesitate to make a reservation here! Promise it’s worth it!
So glad my friend recommended this amazing restaurant in little Italy for me and my girlfriend to enjoy a nice meal. Told the waiter I was vegan and he knew how to serve me well. I had the gnocchi and I was thoroughly satisfied. My girlfriend loved the spinach ravioli and cannoli. Will definitely come again next time I’m in New York!!
Great place - reminded me of Italy. The only thing is that it is right next to Canal street, which doesn't feel Like little Italy. Food and wine were great and prices good - very small place so i suggest a reservation. Get the wine from Sardinia - awesome!
Made a reservation through Open Table on a rainy night in NYC, took a long taxi ride from Midtown to Little Italy, only to find that they decided to close early and would not honor my reservation. Thankfully, I walked to the end of the block and had a fine meal at Casa Bella. Disappointed that a restaurant would close before advertised hours, especially with a reservation on the books. I was told it was "because of rain". I think it was a quiet night and the they just wanted to go home early. Sad that I never got to try their food, but with all the great restaurant choices in NYC, I won't be back.
My wife and I had dinner there on October 19th. We enjoyed our meal very much. My wife had plain spaghetti with marinara sauce and I had penne with salmon. Both were very good.
Lasagna was soooo good
Meatballs starter was delicious
