The carefully curated menu features traditional Italian delicacies like pasta and pizza, some secret Sicilian gems, few hand-picked family recipes such as Matarocco sauce, home baked desserts including classic pistachio cannoli and the best Italian wines. Sapori D’Italia offers classic Italian fare in typical Sicilian setting, warm and fuzzy like the comfort of an Italian home.
Vincenzo helped with food and wine choices and even had some special dishes prepared for us. Everything was wonderful, from the food to the service to the conversation just a fantastic night.
It was freezing, felt rushed through our meal. Food was okay
A small spot with some of the best Italian dishes I've had. I will definitely be back.
Great food but the place is too small and cramped. Hard to navigate to your table.
We choose this restaurant based on its good reviews which it clearly deserves.
Just what we were hoping for - good food - quaint and sort of quiet. Felt like a favorite spot !
Nice place in Little Italy, close to Chinatown. A small location but there are quite many places to sit. Cosy. Nice. We liked it a lot. We ate the lasagne both. It was ok-good.
This is a cozy spot that feels as Brooklyn as Little Italy. Highlights: charming Italian market decor and quick service. Good wines by the glass. I had the linguine vongole and the sauce was super flavorful. Oddly the spaghetti itself was not great--maybe they need to upgrade the quality of the dried pasta? A nice choice for Little Italy when you don't want the tuxedo'd all-male waiter experience.
Absolutely amazing! Fresh, authentic Italian food was what I wanted and is exactly what we got. Highly recommend going.
The food is delicious especially the Lasagna! The waiter and owner are always friendly and on top of making sure you, the customer, is completely happy. We absolutely love this restaurant.
Great Sicilian neighborhood place! Food was wonderful and authentic. I would come back again.
A-MAZING! It was the most perfect meal for our NYC trip! The service could not have been better and the food was five star! Everything from the meat and cheese board, to my spaghetti and lasagna! We will be back and don’t hesitate to make a reservation here! Promise it’s worth it!
So glad my friend recommended this amazing restaurant in little Italy for me and my girlfriend to enjoy a nice meal. Told the waiter I was vegan and he knew how to serve me well. I had the gnocchi and I was thoroughly satisfied. My girlfriend loved the spinach ravioli and cannoli. Will definitely come again next time I’m in New York!!
Great place - reminded me of Italy. The only thing is that it is right next to Canal street, which doesn't feel Like little Italy. Food and wine were great and prices good - very small place so i suggest a reservation. Get the wine from Sardinia - awesome!
Made a reservation through Open Table on a rainy night in NYC, took a long taxi ride from Midtown to Little Italy, only to find that they decided to close early and would not honor my reservation. Thankfully, I walked to the end of the block and had a fine meal at Casa Bella. Disappointed that a restaurant would close before advertised hours, especially with a reservation on the books. I was told it was "because of rain". I think it was a quiet night and the they just wanted to go home early. Sad that I never got to try their food, but with all the great restaurant choices in NYC, I won't be back.
My wife and I had dinner there on October 19th. We enjoyed our meal very much. My wife had plain spaghetti with marinara sauce and I had penne with salmon. Both were very good.
Great food
Great service
Lasagna was soooo good
Meatballs starter was delicious

Food was delicious. Authentic! We had lasagna and eggplant! The service was outstanding!,,,
Excellent service, very tasty meatball pasta , good Italian beer!
Although we requested specific detail about specific food that we could not eat, we were still given wrong cooked food. Our son got sick within an hour after eaten wrong cooked food. We were charged extra for substituting some food item (chicken instead of beef, creamy sauce) without letting us knew that it would be extra charges. We were given overcooked small amount of zucchini and carrots (given us as substitute vegetables) although we were told that broccoli weren’t fresh.
We went there because the restaurant’s rating was high. Unfortunately, we experienced unpleasant and unprofessional dining experience.
We were in New York for a day trip to the Tenement Museum. Many Italian restaurants were not open for lunch. What an absolute find! Everything about Sapori D’Italia was wonderful. We’re debating a return trip just for the homemade pasta.
Amazing food and great service! Loved it.
My husband and I went to Sapori D'Italia last Saturday to celebrate San Genaro's Festival in Little Italy. However, we were not prepared for the amount of chaos and loud noise that we walked onto once we turned onto Mulberry St. We tried to make the best of it as we had come down from the UES and were famished for a great Italian dinner. We were promptly seated on the outside veranda area but decided to move inside as the street noise was unbearable. Inside we sat next to a nice couple and tried to have conversation over the very loud table on the other side of us and another table on the opposite side of the small room. The waiter was charming and very attentive, even apologizing for his difficulty with English as he's from Venice originally. We ordered a nice bottle of Barolo and our appetizers. Everything was delicious and beautifully prepared and presented. Then we ordered our entres and they were equally amazing. The two loud tables eventually left and we enhjoyed a nic conversation with the coupole next to us visiting from the Netherlands. We will probably return again to this wonderful spot but never during a festival outside!
Wonderful food. Great ombiance and friendly service. We'll be back!
Excellent great food
As usual, outstanding.
Poor service. The servers had poor listening skills. Overall not a great experience
Delicious. Authentic. They cooked the pasta PERFECTLY. Very flavorful.
Great service, salad “tired”, no vinaigrette, vaunted tomato sauce so so. Service excellent.
The prices and service were excellent given the location in Little Italy. I would definitely go there again.
My entire family agreed! Best Italian we've ever had!
Excellent!
My 9 year old daughter is a foodie and desired a dining experience in Little Italy. Although the reviews were a mixed bag, I was still hopeful about having a delicious Italian/Sicilian meal...and that it was! 4 children and their three mothers...we were all treated warmly and wonderfully. All of the food was delicious and fresh. It was clear that it was prepared carefully. We had a wonderful lunch...my daughter was so pleased. Thank you so much! We will be back.
Très bon souper dans la petite Italie, mon carbonara n’etait Pas le meilleur mais le plat de mon conjoint mmm! Très belle ambiance et le personnel tres sympathique et vaillant

Food was good. We have these spinach and ricotta ravioli and a clam linguine.
A high degree of care was evident regarding both ingredients and preparation. Delicious!
