Loved this restaurant. Food was amazing, really intimate and atmospheric, authentically Italian and brilliant attentive and nice staff.
Absolutely amazing food, that you can tell is cooked with the best and freshest ingredients. Really friendly service and good value considering the setting and quality of food.
Excellent food, service and surroundings. A lovely restaurant!
Not the experience we were hoping for. Expected an Italian dining experience in a cosy restaurant on a Saturday evening. However we were taken to a courtyard outside seated at a bench which had not been laid. This area was open to the public and we were treated to groups of rowdy drunken people wandering through the area. The service and food were good and we had no cause to complain but we would not choose to eat here again. To be fair I think the staff were aware they had let us down on this occasion as we were offered a discount without asking.
Excellent Sardinian restaurant and a lovely find whilst in york for a few days. . Food is very good, but the service is the real selling point. We were looked after very well with attention and friendliness. If you are looking for high end Michelin star efficient service then it might not be what you want. But if you want a relaxed and friendly service from people keen to look after you and do everything they can to make your experience good then it’s a great neighbourhood restaurant.
Amazing little gem of a restaurant, great food, great service, would definitely return. Recommend a visit if you want delicious food.
Had a great meal here. Service was great too. Highly recommend
Very poor service and very slow
Great food staff were lovely.
A lovely family run restaurant in a terrific part of York. Great service and ambience combined with fantastic food. Looking forward to our next visit already
Lovely staff, food was a bit pricey
Great little restaurant in the middle of the Shambles.
Amazing food and a great team who looked after us all night.
Food and service where excellent , very unique experience eating in a marquee 10mtrs from the restaurant, very speedy service . I would highly recommend a visit.
After 12 months of not eating out we couldn't have chosen a better restaurant .
Waited hours, ran out of spaghetti and vodka, food served in pizza boxes and Tupperware. Awful.
Very good value. Decent food and good service. We shall be returning.
We waited 1 hour for drinks
Excellent food and service as always !
Beautiful place to eat, especially where we sat upstairs looking out the window. Service was 5 star and the food was delicious! Highly recommend.
Food was good but not exceptional. Good service and friendly staff. A little cramped and bar stool chairs took a little getting used to. If you think of a good euro-style cafe this meets expectations but don’t book expecting an upmarket restaurant.
Food was okay, Pizza didn't seem very authentic as it was just loaded with cheddar. Reasonably priced and cocktails were ermmmm strong:D
Excellent food and service as always!👌👌👌
This place is just great- absolutely fantastic and attentive staff, brilliant food and drink.
If you like Sardinian you’ll love this place.
The only downside are the toilet facilities which do not match the very high standards set be the dining experience
I cannot compliment the team more in terms of the way we are looked after.
Definitely be back - so please keep the cannonau in stock!!
Lovely food, staff couldn't do enough for us, very enjoyable
Wonderful staff and welcome, excellent value for money, the food was impeccable. We felt very warmly looked after, would recommend
This was a lovely little place. The staff were all very attentive and friendly and helpful with the menu. I loved the atmosphere, it was busy but cosy and it felt intimate. My food was delicious, I had the garlic bread (big portion) and the sea bass with argentinian prawns - sea bass was exquisite. We wanted a suitable digestif so the waiter helped us decide by recommendation. Considering we found it by accident, it was a right little gem and am likely to revisit!
The Menu is was very small, the tables were tiny and were cramped together. The meaI turned up so quickly we was still eating our starter. I had the lasagna which was lightly burnt on top and was cold on the outside as they had not re heated in the microwave enough... I think trying too hard to be a restaurant when really a Cafe.
Excellent customer service and lovely food!
Lovely atmosphere, nice quaint restaurant. Only down side is very limited menu, special dishes available but no board or menu therefore no price list. For a restaurant that had a selection of homemade pizzas, the garlic bread was not restaurant standard.
Amazing staff and amazing food, the seafood risotto was out of this world! Definitely would return.
Fab from going in to the moment we left food was excellent + the staff where very helpful.
Amazing service, very attentive and genuine! Beautiful and cosy place! My partner and I had 4 courses each as the food was just glorious :)
First class. Service amazing as soon as you arrive, offered choice of table, menu explained. Specials described.
Enough attention to be helpful but knew when to stand back. Nothing to much trouble.
We had dinner there and it was truly amazing: staff was very attentive, food was authentic and we had great time. If we are ever back to York we will definitely come back!
Expect a warm welcome here! The staff are genuinely lovely and make for a really great atmosphere. The setting of this Sardinian restaurant is so picturesque, based on the famous shambles Street in York. The venue is small but perfectly formed. I was lucky to have a seat by the window enjoying lovely views over the street outside. There is a small but adequate list of drinks, with Sardinian drinks featured alongside other well know Italian drinks. The menu is Italian. Heavily influenced by traditional Sardinian cuisine. The staff are perfectly attentive and will give you their recommendation and talk you through the specials. Portion sizes are perfect and the food is delicious - full of flavour and perfectly seasoned. I had three excellent dishes and thoroughly enjoyed my time here. Recommend for couples and small groups. I look forward to returning soon.
