The salmon with corn risotto was excellent! Server Jenn was responsive and friendly. Would definetly recommend
Pasta dishes were too salty. The place closes at 2pm so if you want lunch, be there before 2pm to get your orders in.
The food & drinks were terrific. What made the biggest impression was the friendly and upbeat attitude of the staff, from the hostess to our server.
Very good food my fries were a little underdone though. Great selection of drinks and homemade pastas!
What a disaster this place was! My friend and I made a reservation there for dinner before a concert at Blue Hills Bank Pavilion earlier this week. It took 45 minutes just to get our drinks, and that was after we asked three times for the server to check on it. Dinner took a solid hour and four bouts of begging various servers to check on the meal for us. They claimed the kitchen was backed up, but the restaurant was not full, and other tables were served before we were. When the food came, it was awful - my pasta was rubbery and tasteless with almost no sauce. I ate three bites and gave up. My friend's pizza was no better. The bread, which was supposed to be served first but which we got 5 minutes before our meals came (again, that would be nearly an hour after we ordered) was the only thing that was edible. We ate three bites of our disgusting entrees and begged for the check so we could get out of there, since we were missing the opening act of the concert. Interestingly, they were able to take our money in a very timely manner.
In short, one of the worst restaurant experiences of my life.
We arrived at 6 pm. We ordered outlet drinks and meals around 6:15. It took 20 minutes for the drinks to be delivered. We left at 7, none of the food had arrived. They are terribly understaffed, on the dining room floor, behind the bar and in the kitchen.
This was one of the worst restaurant experiences I’ve had. The food wasn’t bad (not good enough to make me want to return) but that was its only saving grace. The service was terrible! It started off ok, we ordered, our drinks came, and then we didn’t see our waitress again until I had to go find her to ask for our check, which I received attitude about and then did not get it for another 10 minutes. Someone else dropped off our food and quickly left. We were never asked if we needed anything else (salt/pepper, more drinks, anything AT ALL). The table next to us never even received their food which I heard them asking about multiple times and the wait staff giving attitude back. My husband and I were legitimately shocked at how bad the service was. We don’t get out for a date night often since having a child, and we feel like it was wasted at this restaurant. Definitely would NOT recommend.
Food was good but there were fruit flies all around our table.
The pasta choices are all excellent . I had the boulonnais small portion which was perfect. My husband had the Cacio e Pepe spaghetti and loved it. Our cocktails were equally as good and the service was on point and friendly.
Very expensive food with low quality ingredients. My lobster carbonara was 28 dollars ,with lobster hard tendons pieces, not able to chew them, no tasty at all and with a bartender with an ugly attitude. Not going back!
Food was good, server was very attentive. Pizza was a pretty good value and the balsamic fries were a great-sized portion. The margarita was not very good though. The ambiance was very nice, but be careful in the evening as the sun streams in the windows quite strongly.
Good spot for a business lunch or lunch w friends. Tasty Italian food, fresh breads, great salads. I’m sure dinner is great too.
Better than average. Not great. Limited wines by the glass and average choices. Better than most “hotel” dining. Uniforms unprofessional, poor casual.
Overall no real complaints. Just “plain vanilla”. No Italiano Spark.
If you're near the convention center, this is a good spot for a business breakfast or lunch. Food was fine; nothing spectacular. But good enough. I'd suggest getting one of the smaller tables if you want to chat with a colleague. The booths are rather large, with very large tables, making it difficult to converse quietly, especially during a busy morning. Otherwise, a very good place for a bite to eat.
One of the best brunch buffets in Boston and very reasonable price. Highly recommended and will definitely go back again. Everything is spot on.
Excellent all around! Great servers and very comfortable joint.
Lovely hotel breakfast with great omelets. Close enough to the Seaport and BCEC to be a 6 minute walk.
Good food. Great gelato and great service
Ordered the Fritto Misto and the Margherita pizza for our appetizer, both were excellent. Most of us ordered the Reserve Burger for our lunch and one other person had Chicken Pesto Panini. I thought the burger was very most but tasted a little bland. The pancetta was like a thick piece of bacon so you couldn't eat it with your burger. I wish there was a choice of cheese. One of the guest I ate with wanted to exchange the marble potato with French fries but was told that they could not accommodate.
Restaurants in hotels are not usually very good but my husband and I tried this one in the Renaissance Hotel in Boston because we were staying at another hotel that did not have a good restaurant and we needed somewhere nearby for a nice dinner. The reviews for this sounded good and our experience supported the good reviews.
The ambiance is very pleasant and comfortable, the service could not have been more friendly and professional, and the food was outstanding. It bills itself as an Italian restaurant and that is exactly what it is. We had an appetizer of a mixed cheese board and cold meats - great Gorgonzola and prosciutto, and especially wonderful pate - very fresh and great taste.
We both ordered pasta dishes - the pasta is made on the premises and was delicious, as well as perfectly cooked. We both had a glass of red wine that was a good solid red table wine - we could have ordered fancier - they have it - but the table wine was very good. We would definitely go back to this restaurant when in that area of Boston again, we thought that it was exceptional.
Dropped in last minute and was glad we did. I had the rabbit ravioli and she had Brussels sprout and bacon pizza. A beautifully poured martini and great service made a nice evening even better. The menu has great options and all is reasonably priced. It was a quiet evening and the restaurant goes under the radar for Seaport options. Will definitely be back!
The cod and salmon dinners were outstanding. Our server was very helpful.
We had a lovely anniversary celebration.
Another great meal at Sapore - started with clam chowder and beet salad, both excellent. Then the Sunday Pasta dinner, small portion (was perfect size) with wonderful meatball and the sea scallops with pork belly and mushrooms, great combo! And chocolate cake to top it off. Great service!
Delicious, quick, and the perfect amount of attentive.
We have eaten dinner here a few times and it is never busy. At first we thought that was a bad sign but every meal has been good. So not sure why this location isn't that busy especially since there are other restaurants very close by that are packed. It is the lobby of a hotel. We actually come here because the hotel we stay in doesn't have a great restaurant.
I like the ambiance. Service is always good. Menu has been different each time. I've had some different pastas and salads. Always enjoyable.
Every time we have been, we have been able to have a nice conversation.
Good for a fast meal. Burger was great as was service.
Easy walk from the convention center. Very friendly staff. Fun and tasty cocktails. Yummy light dinner.
Very good location for a bit before a show @ the Pavilion, but location & the beer list were the best parts. We had the balsamic fries (not my thing, but my husband really enjoyed them), the chicken saltimbocca and the halibut. We ended up switching entrees midway through b/c the halibut was completely overdone but we didn't have time for a "fix" -thankfully my husband would eat pretty much anything, so even though he made some noises about it, he finished it and I got some of his very tender chicken. The sides on the entree were reversed though, the side on the halibut was fantastic-but the prosciutto & potatoes on the saltimbocca had absolutely no flavor (how can prosciutto have no flavor?!). It looked like steamed deli ham -very odd. Anyway, all in all, fine, but not good dining experience. I really enjoyed that they have great beers (and some really good looking wines!)
Nice place the waiter took was slow on maintaining service to our table.
Took especially long time to get our desert.
The restaurant was quiet enough to carry on a conversation without yelling. The food was delicious although the portions were on the small side. The olive cake dessert was a disappointment. Service was excellent.
Spectacular service. Beautiful location. Nice to sit outside. Food was delicious, fresh and out quickly. Nice wine list too.
Our waitress was a delight. We shared a Caesar salad which was just okay - lacked flavor. Our entrees were outstanding! I had the seared scallops and my husband had the haddock - both were perfectly portioned, fresh and delicious! The carrot cake was the perfect ending to a perfect night. Highly recommend!
It was delicious but more pricey than I expected. Only one waitress for too many tables.
food was well prepared and our server,Ashley, was very good
We were somewhat disappointed by the food. I was excited to see Pappardelle w/ Wild Boar Ragout on the menu, and although the flavor was excellent, the pasta was slightly undercooked and the boar was a bit tough and stringy. My companion had a lobster roll and the roll was dry and tasteless. The lobster salad was good though, as were the hand cut French fries. I did enjoy the Heirloom Tomato Salad and we loved our drinks ordered from the specialty menu - a fancified bourbon old-fashioned and a pineapple rum concoction.
For some reason, the door to the patio was left open which resulted in the restaurant being quite humid. It totally defeated the air conditioning and made it stuffy and uncomfortable.
Came before a concert and mentioned we were time pressed. Restaurant was fairly busy, although there were quite a few empty tables. Not sure if understaffed, but service was very slow.
Food was excellent, although they delivered a completely incorrect meal and we did not have time to wait for a redo.
Food, drinks, and service were all good- only gave it a 3 star because there were a lot of fruit flies, pretty gross to be consistently swatting flies away beginning as soon as we were sat at the table.
Service was very slow and food was nothing special at all--fell very short of our expectations.
Great hidden gem. Great ambiance, food selection, wine/beer. Our waitress was very accommodating and friendly. My fiancé has a gluten allergy and they have GF PIZZA!! Excellent spot.
