First experience with Georgian cuisine and it did not disappoint. We had the Georgian’feast’ and the dishes just kept coming!!! I expect similar to a “Supra”
Also gad two interesting wines from Georgia, made in qvevri (amphora). Try them!!
First time at this restaurant. Our server was very friendly and attentive. She helped us navigate through the menu and suggested a few dishes. We took her up on her suggestion and didn’t regret it. The food was delicious and very generous portions. We will definitely return.
Awesome! The food is always fantastic and a little different from the other options in Winnipeg. Really friendly service. Fast becoming one of our favourite restaurants in Winnipeg.
Wow! This was one of the best dining experiences I have every had! We did the meal for 4, an amazing 9 course meal for the guys and 10 courses for the ladies, because the guys were too full for dessert. I will be eating here every time I come back to Winnipeg. Everything was fabulous!!
If you're in the mood for a hearty, home style meal with a twist, it's a great place to go. Food was delicious. Service was very good. Ambience could be a little better with adjusted lighting and a little more separation of space.
I would return to this place for sure.
One of the best wines I have had from Georgia
Looking forward to returning soon!
Food was excellent and portions very healthy. Service helpful and friendly. We chose the meal plan for 4 which offered a great variety and had plenty left over. Will be dining here again in the future.
I booked with Open Table and they had trouble finding the reservation when we arrived on Sept 25. The room seemed a bit loud due to low ceilings. The food was a 6.5 out of 10. Felt like they overcooked my meal, seemed a bit dried out. I've had better elsewhere. I took a chance with our Wedding anniversary meal and was a bit disappointed. Waitress was extremely good.
The food was excellent, pretty much anything on the menu was excellent. We are Celiac and most of the menu is gluten free (apart from the baked goods). Highly recommend!
Our server was lovely, first date, and they had us set up at the window. You can't beat the prices and the service is fantastic. Won't lie the ambience was meh, but go with a great looking date and that's what you should be focused on anyways!
We went as a party of four. Ordered the supper special - a multi-course dinner for four. It was delicious - EXCEPT for two things: we were served #9 and #10 - almost identical dishes. Then, when it came time for dessert, our waitress asked whether we had saved room for dessert, one of us said "no", and that was the end of it. But wasn't the dessert included? (I think she said two desserts?) Rather than just bring us the bill, shouldn't she have asked whether anyone else wanted any? Whether we'd like "doggie bags" so we could take it home and enjoy the next day? Also, two of us ordered a bottle of wine - adn not ONCE did our waitress fill our glasses.
Food was amazing. Suggestions were spot on
We had Kubdari (very good!), Lamb shashlik (amazing!) and Chakhokhbili (good). The chicken in the Chakhokhbili is bone in winglets. The taste was good but didnt like having to deal with the little bones. Service was great.
I feel like my experience isn’t what most people have from this place. The food was phenomenal though very small portions. The menu is definitely geared towards females, having many vegetable little meat and super small portions. I would imagine if we went for lunch it would have been more expected that we would have smaller portions.
Our server was amazing, she did everything she could to make our time enjoyable. The biggest downside I found, was the other customers in the restaurant. They serve liquor and the couple girls sitting behind us got louder with each drink. The male server employed was doing a great job of keeping them engaged and drinking.
So all in all I did enjoy my time but if you plan on bringing your hockey playing boyfriend, your gonna have to get a sandwich for him before going.
Service is too slow take on average 40min + to get order
One of my favourite restaurants! Food and service are great!
Stepped out of our comfort zone and really enjoyed it!
Food was really outstanding. Lower rating due to no dessert offerings.
Excellent food, savory , but not spicy. Interesting menu choices, without being weird. Good Georgian red wine.
We took our adult children for their first experience at Saperavi (we have been there many time’s). My daughter has a lactose allergy and staff were great at letting us know what was safe. Great food and great service.
I do like this restaurant. It was a nice time. I have one criticism which may not be valid, because I have never been to Georgia or really eaten Georgian food. That being said, it seemed very 'Winnipeg' influenced. That is, we really like cheese, bread, and tomato sauce in Winnipeg (or at least others do), and it seemed as though the menu largely centred on items that reflected these preferences. When I go to an ethnic restaurant, I want to get away from Canadian cuisine, so in that way, it was a little disappointing.
The food is fantastic. Very flavourful and the service is superb!
Wanted to try Georgian food and it did not disappoint! Great service & lovely atmosphere on the outdoor patio. Will definitely be back
This restaurant is one of Winnipeg's little jems located on the popular Corydon Street. We sat on the patio and social distancing rules were followed and had a nice setting. The service was very good with good assistance with the menu and the food was very tasty and highly recommended. Will deffinitely be going back to try more of their menu.
Apparently there were some computer issues and this slowed service down. Meal was wonderful but no one checked on us after being served and I would have liked to have salt and pepper.
Timing was perfect! Meal was delicious. We ordered the dinner for 8! Loved the bread with cheese! Beautiful patio!
Great food and lovely atmosphere directly on Corydon Avenue. Dining partner was born near this geographical area and commented that the flavours are truly reminiscent of the region. Would recommend the clay-pot cooked stews!
Tried Saperavi for the first time and the food was delicious. The meat was fall-off-the-bone tender and delicious and, for the dishes we tried, it was in a delicious stew of potatoes and veggies. Service was friendly and professional.
First time at restaurant. Got a great seat on the patio. Server was excellent. Food was amazing. Will return soon.
Food was excellent. Not your typical restaurant fare but that does not mean that it was not inspired and delicious. Service was prompt and helpful. Patio seating great for people watching.
Our first time in Georgian restaurant.
Amazing! Definitely will come back.
Awesome food. Different experience.
We sat on the patio and had a wonderful time! I am now obsessed with the eggplant appetizer (I’ll be getting that for myself next time!). The ambiance is great and wonderful spot to people watch.
Absolutely amazing experience. We had ordered dinner meal for four (we were 5 people, three young high appetite teen boys and two adults). The amount of food this order had would easily feed 6-7ppl. The variety and number of dishes we had was very wide. After finishing the meal, unfortunately we had no space for desert... we all really loved the experience, meals were served at a very good pace, no rush, no wait. Great value for what we had. Definitely recommend!
Great place , nice and quiet. Staff tried they’re best to serve. Food is amazing, don’t forget to ask for lamb and hachapuri. I would certainly come back . The my only wish is they had gluten free options as I have family member with gluten intolerance .
fantastic cultural and food experience. We would return, and we encourage others to check this out!
Food was good. Service was terrible.
Was there for 30 minutes before our order was taken.
Food came out in this order...girlfriend's entree, appetizer, my entree. I got to watch her eat her's, and she got to watch me eat mine.
Will not go back.
Overall great experiance. Food was good and portions were perfect. Youbgot totry their breads, we tried stuffed with cheese. It was fantastic, i would go back just for the bread and it would make my day. You got to try it.
Excellent food. Friendly and accommodating waitress who explained things when we had questions. Will definetely be back.
Very unique menu but everything was so tasty! And the server very knowledgeable and helpful.
Fabulous place to go as group and share dishes.
