*When booking a table you will need to choose a Regular or Outdoor table. Our outdoor space is not covered and in the event of inclement weather we will move your party to an indoor table if one is available. You may experience wait times, as guest that booked regular tables will have priority. If you choose a regular table you will be sat at an indoor table; we will most likely not be able to accommodate changes as our outdoor seating is extremely popular. If the system is not giving you an option to choose between the two this means all outdoor or regular tables are booked for that time slot.

Sapalta is a wonderful spot to enjoy a fabulous meal and a view of serene Seneca Lake. If you are looking a good food, local wine and great ambience, don't miss Sapalta!
Excellent food, amazing view/ambiance, and really friendly staff!! Don’t miss it.
The meals were outstanding and our server Julie was excellent. We did move from the main dining room as it was very loud but they put us in a nice comfortable table in a different section. This was not a huge deal but we just like it quieter for conversation etc.
We ate on the patio. It get dark earlier now, and a bit chilly by the water. The gas heaters helped some. The tiny tables for two persons are way too small. Why even have them? Two bread plates and two entrees plus glassware and cutlery just don't fit. The tiny tables are good for one person, or at the bar for drinks only. Thankfully we were moved to a regularly sized table and had a wonderful evening. Our server was outstanding.
Delightful place with great food woulddefinatelyvo back
Beautiful setting overlooking the lake on a full moon night. Staff attentive. The roasted pork on vegetable risotto with fruit compote was well prepared and the presentation lovely. Nice Finger Lakes wine list. The lkemon tart and butter cookies were the best I've ever had and would go back just for the cookies- yum.
We enjoyed our evening at Sapalta. The food was delicious but we thought the portion size of the main entree was a little small for the price. However, it did allow us to have desert too without feeling too full.
The staff was friendly and the view was amazing as we were at a table by the large window overlooking the lake.
Great dinner place, very quiet, very nice staff, outstanding food. Looking forward to going back.
Its a beautiful location, for a nice Fall evening out. You can sit outside or inside.
The food is excellent, but extremely over-priced due to being next to (but not on) the water. A lovely piece of chicken, about 6 oz., was $27 without any side accompaniments, just about 1/4 cup of polenta that the breast was sitting on. We ended up paying $10 for bread basket that was quite good, but I would have gotten that with just a salad. So if you are looking for good food, its there. Just be prepared when you see the cost.
Interesting menu with local products well prepared.
We are here two nights in a row. The first night I had the swordfish special with risotto and last night I had tart cherry chicken with polenta. Both meals were cooked perfectly. The service was spot on and we loved being outdoors. I’d go back there in a heartbeat!
Excellent food. Outdoor seating steps from the lake.
Good food and drink and nice ambiance. Caveats: Like many places these days they are a bit understaffed and the service can suffer because of it. The menu is a bit limited, but they do offer some specials in each category to augment. The use of local products—the complete wine list for instance—was nice to see.
Dinner was great. Wait staff was very knowledgeable about the dishes, wines/beers and even the landscape. Would highly recommend.
Hannah was a great server!
Dinner out on a lovely late summer evening. Food was fantastic and service was excellent. Thank you Matty and Salpalta for a fabulous meal and experience.
Our group of 6 had the most delicious dinner here. We all had the soup of the day which was a tomato basil. We all loved it! For entrees 3 people had the swordfish, two had the pork chop and I had the gnocchi. Everything was so fresh and tasty!
Chef is innovative using local foods. Lakeside dining with a beautiful view
Service was outstanding and food delicious . Portions could have been a little larger for the price of entrees.
Our dinner was pretty good. Service was alright. Being outside by the lake was pretty great.
Great staff. Nice venue. Food doesn't match price. Overall I'd recommend because of great staff and ambience
Our time began waiting for 20 minutes for a server to greet my table. Tables that were sat after us were waited on prior to us. Had I not approached the hostess I’m not sure how much longer we would have waited. The noise level was the highest I have ever experienced to the point I could not have a conversation with those I was with.
What I did love was the farm to table concept using all local ingredients and wines from all of the local vineyards. The food is prepared thoughtfully, plated beautifully, and delicious.
Although the setting is nice, the noise level was so bad that the waitstaff had to repeat everything twice. Some simple rugs or wall treatment can easily solve this. The four of us ordered three different meals. Except for pasta dish which was flavorful, the pork chop was over cooked and the scallops were average.
We were blown away by the quality of both of our dining experiences at Sapatla this weekend. Space doesn't allow me to say all of the great things I want to say about the quality and flavor of the food at this great place on Seneca Lake, so I'll just say it was OUTSTANDING. Service was sketchy, i.e., the server didn't come around frequently enough. We would have ordered twice the amount of cocktails we eventually had, but the server was no where to be found after our salads and dinners were served. This also hurts the owners' profit margin. Also, Sunday night we decided to share dessert. When it was served with only one cookie on top I remarked to the server, "My wife and I will have to fight over it". Instead of simply getting us another one she said, "I'll leave while you two fight over it." In total, we spent close to $200 each night For the money we were paying, she should have given us another one. I'll chalk that up to her immaturity.
Everything was outstanding. A little pricey for overall
Beautiful spot on Seneca Lake with great food and service. Staff was very nice and accommodating.
Everything was delicious.
Always an amazing experience. Love our meal and it was clear the level of care put into every dish.
Our server Maddy was great and very apologetic for delay in food coming out from the kitchen and overcooked steak. Mahi Mahi was good. Nice place but understaffed like every other restaurant. We’ll be back.
Setting is excellent in good weather. Service is always excellent. Food is usually pretty good. Still, $27 for a fatty pork chop laid on a bed of polenta (and that's all) is a bit steep. The plate should at least have some sort of veggie complement.
This restaurant is first class and the best we have found in the area........eating outside was superb
My daughter and I had an outstanding meal. The humus appetizer was so good and I had the shrimp and my daughter the scallops, both cooked to perfection. We had a seat at the window with a beautiful view of the lake and grounds. The only issue was the service as they were down several staff members but our waitress worked tirelessly and with a smile. We will be back!
Beautiful setting overlooking the lake with incredible farm to table food.
Enjoyable meal from start to finish. So kudos to chef and staff. Waitstaff do a good job. Wine list could be improved and expanded.
Great food, atmosphere, friendly service. Definitely recommend!
Excellent food. Excellent service
It was fantastic from check in to dessert! Great, friendly service, fabulous food and beautiful setting. Highly recommend!
The food was wonderful and although our server, Ariel, was busy she gave us all the attention needed.
Excellent meal and fantastic service with Hannah, our server. One of our favorites.
Overall good experience. Service was excellent. Ordered two mahi mahi dishes. One was dry the other was ok.?great coffee and desserts
