Food, service, and environment were great. It’s inside the El Convento hotel. Met all expectations.
This restaurant has everything. Great food, friendly service in an spectacular place. Look no further in Okd San Juan, this is the place where you want to eat and have drinks. We will repeat!
The food was really good and the location is very nice. The service was okay, but not great. When checking in the receptionist said that he did not have our reservation and asked to see proof that we had one. I had to show him my email, which i have never had to do in any other restaurant. We were seated in the corner and almost felt abandoned there. On top of that there was a terrible smell that would come through with the breeze. I was hoping it was just someone with stinky cheese close-by, but my wife did not think so. Overall the place was good, but i will not return.
Good location. A little overcrowded, drinks were excellent and meals were ok.
We went out with a group of about 16. The wine was great. As, for the food, it was a mixed bag. The iron skillet chicken was the clear winner among entrees.
It took us over 40 minutes to obtain a cocktail here even though we told the wait staff repeatedly that we were in a hurry. We weren’t even having dinner
Great food, great waiter and ambiance— but they really questioned us as to whether we had an open table reservation.
The service was great, the food was not. Way over priced for the quality of the food.
Roasted cauliflower salad had raw cauliflower. The taste was not even pleasant. I didn't return it because there were 6 of us. But if it been just my husband and me I would have.
Hidden gem. Incredible food and atmosphere.
Our best meal, by far, in Puerto Rico. The food was uniformly very good, from salad to salmon, lamb and seafood rice entrees. But we had mostly decent food in all of our other restsurants on our 10 day trip as well. What set this place apart, is that it was the ONLY restaurant that was able to greet, seat, take drink and food orders, deliver the food and bring the check in anything resembling normal wait times and a normal meal pace. Every other restaurant on this island, from fine dining to burger joints, took literally HOURS. Not just old San Juan, but everywhere we traveled around the island.
We went to El Asador last night ... what a disaster. Ignored from arrival to departure, it was 3 1/2 hours to get a simple salad and entree. Meals in PR were ordeals to endure, not enjoy.
Santisimo was such a pleasure ... a beautiful locale within the El Convento hotel, and friendly, competent staff who were able to properly run a restaurant. It was such a relief to not sit ... ignored, frustrated and hungry for hours. Everybody we have met in PR repeats similar dining experiences.
When you are thoroughly sick of endless, interminable mealtimes ... go to Santisimo and remember what a normal dining experience is like.
Anniversary weekend and we ate here during our one night in Old San Juan. It didn’t disappoint and service was exceptional.
Tasty food but small, overpriced portions. They don’t accommodate multiple checks or groups over 6 people very well.
Our server, Mario, was excellent in every regard. The food was epic, the cocktails refreshing. Best meal we’ve had in Puerto Rico so far.
Place is really Good. Food is very tasty. Place is Lovely
