Fabulous! You can't pass this place up if you visit KW. Wether it's lunch or dinner you will be glad you went. But make a reservation well in advance they are loved that much
The small plates were all very tasty though we thought it was a little bit pricey. Service was great. We requested a table outside and at first we were told by a woman that it could not happen, then a man stepped in and said - Sure! Don't know why one said yes and the other said no, but we were thrilled to located outside. The only issue we had was there was a bench right next to our table where people waiting to get called were sitting. It was a little awkward that they were so close to us. The dishes were paced nicely and we never had too many plates on the table at once.
Each time we dine here we are reminded of how good the food is. Don't miss the beef carpaccio and beef tenderloin. Service is timely and friendly (A shout out to our server Brooke who was fantastic!) and the atmosphere is fun. Don't miss this when planning your Key West meals!
A rude hostess seated us a very small table in a dark and cramped corner....while many tables were empty and remained empty thought our stay. Key West offers very good and some great restaurants. No one needs to waste time or money at Santiagos
We had a fabulous meal - four of us each ordering a variety of items, and every single item was wonderful! Our waiter was great and the serving time was good. The atmosphere was fun for our 19 and 22 year olds, and not too loud for us. We would definitely put this restaurant on our must-go-to list for Key West.
An interesting menu with beautifully prepared food served by an energetic and knowledgable server made our introduction to the Key West restaurant scene an excellent start. Highly recommended restaurant!
The food was great. Loved the short ribs and brussel sprouts. It is close quarters so get to know the people sitting at the table next to you. Also it was a little warm inside because of the amount of people. Service was great and there wasn't a long wait at all for the food to arrive.
There is something for everyone on the menu with a wide variety of small portions that allows you to build your meal exactly to meet your taste and the amount you want to eat. We eat at Santiago's every visit to Key West (multiple times annually). It is located in Bahama Village which is a couple of blocks off Duval Street and about eight blocks from Mallory Square. Our waiter was excellent and takes the time to understand your taste and makes excellent recommendations - both food and wine. We highly recommend Santiago's .... reservations are a must ... happy hour ends at 6:00 pm.
Because Santiago's Bodega is a tapas restaurant, my husband and I enjoyed a wide variety of small plates, all of which were delicious. To say that we had a favorite would not be accurate because each and every dish we ate was amazing! If I had to choose, though, I think the beef carpaccio and the shrimp & chorizo dishes were our favorites. Not only is the food wonderful, but the service is very efficient & friendly. We enjoyed our dinner so much, in fact, we went back two days later for lunch!
Santiago's is a must on our annual visit to Key West. Everything on the menu is fantastic (we have tried just about everything!). Can't go wrong with this place.
Short ribs were dry, brussel sprouts were too salty and overcooked (I sent them back). Cerviche was amazing along with the stuffed figs (leave the bacon off next time , way too salty). We will try it again and see if it improves.
We’ve been coming to Santiago’s Bodega just about every time we visit Key West because the food and ambiance is simply amazing. It always typically requires a reservation with how popular it is and could tell with the amount of big parties and families in attendance this time around. Perhaps this is what caused a 15 minute delay to be seated after our reservation time which is my only gripe. Other than that, the food and wine is top notch and keeps us coming back time after time.
We had a great dinner here while in Key West. A little off the beaten track but well worth it.
We went here on a weeknight, the service and food were both exceptional. The speed of the food coming out of the kitchen was great too. Our server recommended a nice wine accompaniment for our dinner, and worked hard to make the overall experience a 10/10! Highly recommend this place! It's a hidden gem off of Duval!!
Snotty people. Not very welcoming. Although the food is outstanding.
Great food. Great atmosphere and great location. Just make sure you have a reservation
So glad we listened to the reviews & recommendations. A brilliant tapas menu. Excellent service. A gem in the Key West food scene. RESERVATIONS ARE A MUST!!
Only complaint we had was the noise level. It was almost uncomfortable.
On our yearly excursion to Key West, my wife and I enjoy getting to experience the variety of dining options on the Island. I am in the resort business and have two restaurants on our property so I have somewhat of an "insiders" perspective on our experiences. Santiago's Bodega is very good at what it does. Better than most of the restaurants I've enjoyed in KW. The staff is courteous, professional, knowledgeable about their products and add to the overall experience. There is a steady rhythm of activity throughout the dinner service with each member of the service team keeping appropriate pace and appearing to do so with ease and absence of pressure. Kudos to the ownership, management and staff.
While we visited three times this visit, one was not planned and they were able to accommodate us immediately at the bar. The service there was excellent and the atmosphere was just as good as when we sat at the tables. We highly recommend Santiago's Bodega and can't wait for next year's visit!
Can be A bit noisy inside asked for a table outside and they honored that request.
During the season it is necessary to make a reservation. Food always good here. Sangria too.
Open all day from 11 on so good for late lunch.
A great dining experience in paradise
Our table as requested was ready as requested. The porch where we were seat was small, but there was sufficient space between tables so that you could carry on an intimate conversation. Everything we ordered was superbly done and nothing disappointed us. Service was spot-on. The place is rather small so I would recommend reservations a day or two in advance.
I dined solo at Santiago's last week. The hostess and wait staff made me feel very comfortable doing so.
The food was amazing. I had the burrata appetizer with warm pita bread, the tenderloin w/blue cheese and the brussel sprouts. I hadn't really eaten all day, so that amount of food was perfect. I had no room for desert although I did notice Flamingo Crossing ice cream on the dessert menu - my favorite!
Enjoyed a nice bottle of Frog's Leap Rutherford as well. Was able to take the remainder of the bottle to go.
I will definitely return the next time I am in KW!
The Spicy Shrimp Bisque is amazing! We dipped our warm pita bread in it to make sure we got every drop! We also had Beef Carpaccio, Croquettas and Beef Tenderloin- all very good! For dessert we went with the bread pudding! We were full and satisfied when we left! Great environment- loved the wood floors. Wait staff was friendly and did a good job taking care of us.
The food is excellent. The best in key west.
Excellent Tapas restaurant - small plates so can taste and share several things. Crab cake appetizer was excellent and I am not a big crab cake fan! Chicken lettuce wraps also outstanding. Only thing a bit disappointing was the bread pudding which required a knife to cut it repeatedly.
Wonderful fantastic lover's night we both enjoyed this place.
For as long as we have been coming to Key West , this was only our first visit to Santiago's Bodega. We were seated outside ( I had expressed this as a preference in our reservation ). However, we were seated outside in the primary waiting area for folks without reservations and ,to be honest, it was a little too close for comfort. However the waiting customers got seated in fairly short order and things got much more comfortable.
We ordered a wedge salad to start with (we split it ) and it was as good as it gets. Out of the four(4) tapas we ordered, three(3) were outstanding and one(1) was average. Our dessert was the highly recommended bread pudding and it exceeded our expectations. The wine list is very, very good, but we would have enjoyed a full bar even more.
All-in-all, it was an overall very good dining experience and we would consider returning.
The salad was huge ( shared by two) and the tapas were shared by the whole table same with round two. The service was terrific! The neighborhood was a bit sketchy but once we were seated all was forgotten!
We sought out SB because of its high dining ratings. We got an added bonus because the restaurant is off the beaten track and in a quiet interesting neighborhood. My only issue was the noise level inside -- we cannot comment on what it was for the diners who were outside. It seems that many restaurants today want to present loud music that requires guests to talk above the music to be heard thus creating a certain "buzz" ambiance in their establishments. Though better than most, I had a difficult time having a conversation with my wife inside SB. Nevertheless, the noise level had to be better than most restaurants that we walked by on Duval Street. We would return to SB if we travel to KW again.
First time in Key West and reviews we read about Santiago's made us think it would be the perfect place to have dinner after a Sunset cruise. They did not disappoint. Our server recommended dishes for our group of 6 and we enjoyed each one of them. We will return on our next visit to KW and recommend to friends.
This small gem of a restaurant is a great place for an evening out, or a special dinner, the Beef Tenderloin is remarkable and the Bread Pudding is a lifetime memory.
Creative, delicious food with a wine list that pairs well with the cuisine! Excellent service, too!
Amazing food, incredible ambiance, just loved it all together... Even the Coffee was top notch! Definitely a top of our key west visit!!
Once again Santiago it the high mark, Every time we vacation in the Keys (every 6 months) we eat here at least twice, and if you get here before 6 pm they have drink specials and at least 6 small dish's for $5. Well worth the small price... The staff is excellent this time serving us was Victor a great young man and made our dining experience.
We have been dining at Santiago's Bodega since they opened. The food is fantastic. Our favorites are the lamb, the stuffed dates and the fabulous bread pudding.
Ivan recommended the BEST Pino Noir for me. I am not a wine drinker, but since they have no hard liquor (only beer and wine), I asked him to pick for me. Great choice - thank you Ivan!
This restaurant is a must visit every time we are in Key West about 5 times a year. We do not prefer restaurants without a full bar but we make an exception for this restaurant because the atmosphere and the food quality are just what we love --- the staff is always phenomenal -- great service and friendly ... personable -- we look forward to eating there.
What a gem. We've been to key west for over a decade and are so happy to have finally found Santiagos Bodega. A group of 6-8 is the perfect size. We will definitely dine again next time we are in key west.
Sangria is delicious and the tapas are mouthwatering. Love the pear and avocado salad too! A 'must do' place!
Our favorite place to eat in Key West by far! Everything we got was great, the beef tenderloin was amazing. A must if you're here!
