   Excellent food for all three of the diners. Service was superior and pleasant. Went on a theater night and wanted time to talk with wine before food. Much of what we ordered was original and properly served. We will be there again.

   Great drinks and appetizers. Chicken breast that was brined and cooked sous vide was incredibly salty and tough. NY strip was bland. We've had terrific meals at Sante and this was an exception. We'll always recommend Sante and Inland Pacific Kitchen, but this was unusually off.

   We chose to let Sante pick the offerings from their New Year’s menu and do the wine and mixed drinks pairing. We were not disappointed. The courses were different for both of us so we shared and sampled all of them. There wasn’t a single item that wasn’t tasty, beautifully presented and prepared in an appropriately sized portion. We enjoyed the pleasant surprise of each course. Our waiter was personable, helpful about explaining items on the menu and timely about bringing the next offering. One of the things I enjoy about dining here is that there’s plenty of elbow room. One never feels cramped or crowded even when the restaurant is busy and the noise level is low enough to enjoy some conversation along with your meal.

   We have eaten at Sante previously and were disappointed this time. On previous evening dinners the lights have been dimmed with candles on the table; that was not the case this time even though it was a 7:00 reservation. The food was disappointing as well - "bird" dish of chicken was dry, tongue and cheek was overwhelming with spices, no palette cleanser in between courses as we have experience in prior visits. With the restaurant closing in the spring I wonder if quality has suffered with so many other irons in the fire for the owners. We were disappointed....

    The service was great but the food was bland yet pricey. I would go again to just drink wine but would not order an entree again.
