Sushi master Ryuichi Nakano casts a wide net at SanKai, drawing longtime fans and welcoming newcomers to his intimate new sushi restaurant in the heart of downtown Edmonds. Enjoy our cozy dining room, omakase sushi bar, or heated outside dining in our domes.

Please note we are a small restaurant and children (babies) need to me accounted for in your reservation if you need seating/highchair. Stroller space is limited and may not always be accommodated.

    Enjoy dining in our heated outdoor domes. Each dome is heated, fully covered and comfortably seats up to five people. Please note, no pets are allowed in the domes. *Please note, we have an intimate dining room with limited seating and kindly ask that you respect the following time limits: 1 hour 45 minutes for parties of up to two; 2 hours for parties of three or more. **Although our domes our heated in the wintertime, it can still get chilly when temperatures drop! Feel free to bring a jacket or blanket to help keep you warm and cozy.

    Food was worth the upscale price vs our regular sushi spot. Service was excellent. Atmosphere was cozy, especially with the limited seating. Only knock was that the hvac vents are right above the tables, and the first half of dinner was a bit chilly when the AC kicked on. Easy fix. 5 Stars and this place is now on our date night rotation.

    We had such a lovely experience at SanKai! The service was very warm/friendly and prompt. We asked for a couple recommendations for nigiri and our server gave excellent descriptions of the fish. The wild yellowtail (hamachi) was one of my favorites. Everything was prepared beautifully 10/10.

    Wonderful sushi! And the ambiance with their transparent domes was lovely. Super kid-friendly, fresh fish, and crisp tempura and isn’t greasy but shatters when you put it in your mouth. Perfection

    The most delicious sushi I've ever had. My 12 year old son and I got to have Chef Nakano serve us the omakase nigiri set at the counter, and it was a night that neither of us will forget. He was so friendly, the sushi was out of this world, and we had a memorable father/son outing we'll remember for a long time.
